Swear to God man if someone would place a tombstone for Arthur in real life, thousands and thousands of RDR-players would visit it, its crazy when you think about it, but there it is. Arthur felt like a real person to every one of us and only those who played RDR2 can understand it.
I'd go. Living in Arthur's shoes for hundreds of hours was such an experience. I care more about Arthur Morgan than I do about most of the people I have to interact with irl.

@@mannyescuela3511 its water under the bridge. If he didnt want to hurt the people he loved he wouldn't of plunged 2 shots of heroin into his arm. In the end it was Arthur's loyalty to Dutch and his want to get John, Abigail, and Jack out of the gang alive that killed him. He had the option to go back to New Austin and live another year or more due to its warm dry climate, but Arthur didn't want to abandon his family so he could live a little longer. Hes a hero, and definitely one of my heroes.
Yesterday I finished the Arthur story-line. I cried the whole play-through. When he was riding to the final battle, when my horse (Named : Dead by April that I had since chapter 2) dies, when Micah beat Arthur down, when Arthur dies seeing the sun. Hands-down the best game of all time in my opinion.
Yeah tell me bout it, but i wouldnt say its the best game from a gameplay perspective but definitly from a story telling perspective, for that it is a masterpiece

@@Albert_YTC On one hand, Arthur did start defying Dutch in chapter 6 because Dutch was doing things that Chapter 2 Dutch would have loathed. After Hosea died, Micah was able to start making Dutch do what he wanted, and that included getting revenge. Arthur never wanted to go fight for revenge. But on the other, we have the fact that Arthur flat out told Dutch that Micah had been a rat ever since Guarma, and Dutch did nothing before Arthur died. John, Charles, and Sadie's revenge for Arthur is a 50/50 case. It meant revenge, but it also meant killing a rat who cost the Van der Linde gang some of its most important members. Perhaps when Dutch shot Micah in the epilogue, it was his last moment of sorrow for the man he once treated like his own son. But I believe Micah's death would be the one case of revenge Arthur wanted, for his actions against Arthur himself and the whole of the Van der Linde gang.
@@Albert_YTC And John paid dearly for that. In the credits you see the agents finding Micah and going around asking questions and finding John on his ranch. My guess is that Micah lured Dutch into working with him again but he did so because he was going to give him to the agents. That's why they had John do all the work in RDR1 and then killed him. RDR2 makes RDR1's ending even more depressing.
Whoever made this clip, you absolutely nailed it by putting Johnny Cash "Hurt" as the theme. Fits so well, but is so sad, almost brutal. It's made so much sadder to me because Arthur really reminds me of my husband. They have kind of the same personality, stoic and strong. Quiet, but never failing to make their point. Indifferent, and dedicated at the same time. They even sound alike. It's really hard for me to watch this without tearing up. I guess that would be a sign that both this clip provider and Rockstar did their jobs very well.
Johnny has another song that would fit the whole thing better than hurt. Grant it hurt is good, but I hung my head, would fit it a little better. Turn the volume down on this and play that song. It just fits it a little better.
@@redryder7521 I'm mean yes it does fit it in a good way. But to me hurt is a song of losing someone, as in died. Not dying. To me hung my head would be a better sound off, for the reason to me of the treachery and betrayal of a unknown figure.
Just one more. ONE MORE, Rockstar. PLEASE. Red Dead Redemption; Van der Linde. The conception of the gang all the way to when they did the ferry job and ran from the law. PLEASE.
I think this is the bittersweet ending that we need to close the chapter of Arthur. It's better to let things go out with a bang instead of milking them untill we grow bored and restenful. That would just wash away the brilliance of the earlier games.
It'd be cool to play a new prequel from Dutch's perspective back when the gang first formed and what led to it. It could go on and we could see what really was happening to Dutch and end it off where John attempted to kill him in RDR 1
@@the_weeb_lord1017 yeah but ultimate Dutch's charater arc is done, and it's been fleshed out the best, I feel a Landon rickets redemption game would be amazing and the most likely rockstar would go for in the next 8 years or so

I had the arabian black since I was able to access the Saint Denis stables. Named him Sleipnir, Bonded with him, kept him well fed at a healthy weight, praised him, healed him the second he took damage. Recorded all the funny falls we had. And then the final mission happened. And someone started chopping onions in front of me
I personally felt his death like some claws grabbing my heart and ripping it violently. I am not even joking. I will forever have a love-hate relationship with Rockstar for this MAN and for his story. Yeah, I called him a man, not a character. He taught me that no matter with how much darkness you may start your journey, you can always end it in light and redemption. Also, he taught to never give everything I have to a friend or to trust someone unconditionally. Being backstabbed was worse than death for Arthur. Thank you Rockstar and thank you Arthur Morgan. Hope this wasn't the last time we saw you. Like a song says " There ain't no grave can hold YOUR body down "
He got his redemption, died the way he wanted to. "Point me to the west, so I can watch the sun set and look back". In rdr2 this soul was redeemed and he achieved immortality.
My dad downloaded this video to his computer a couple years ago and red dead redemption was one of his favorite games of all time and he really loved this video that you made he passed away this year but this song it just hits me so hard 😔
I was just saying on twitter the other day how someone should make a Arthur video set to Cash's Hurt cover, wow. Better than what I imagined in my head, brilliant!
"If I could start again, a million miles away. I would keep myself, I would find a way" Perfectly sums up Arthur and John, lives full of stupid mistakes, of failure, of doing your best but still wishing there was more you could've done better.
The reason this really hits the feels for me is because toward the end of the game even though author realizes that he is indeed not a good man he tries his best With the last breaths he has to try to redeem and do some good with the time he has, rockstar truly made a masterpiece of a character and with every good and bad moment that author endured we were there with him to his very last ride. R.I.P Arthur Morgan

Damn that was amazing! The song matches with the game so well. This video almost made me cry, which is a good thing in my book. I would adjust the in-game audio though, as sometimes it sounds really rough against the song. Thank you so much for making this!!!
I just completed the epilogue and I just feel no need to play it anymore I just don’t have any love for it after Arthur’s death the game doesn’t feel the same playing as John
I feel the same, I'll just keep playing as John until the 100% of the game and later I'll start the campaign from the begining only for playing as Arthur, I really miss him right now
"I hurt myself today to see if I still feel" is probably the greatest line in poetic history. It's just a raw, short line that ANYBODY, and I mean ANYBODY can relate to at some point in their lives. RDR2 really shows us a real perspective of humanity. It shows us that the battles we fight today aren't too different than the ones they fought hundreds of years ago.
@ElRugged1 I know what the song is about smart ass. I'm just saying the line itself can be taken in many different ways. That's what makes it such a great line. It's universal
Aymee 247 Logan was a reflection of western movies, hence the use of Johnny Cash, and the film Shane on whilst in the hotel. It symbolised the death of the X-Men films and showed how superheroes are doing the same arc as westerns (hugely popular, so too many are made and eventually losing favour with the audience because saturation). In this regard then Cash’s Hurt fits perfectly to Red Dead, but that also makes it fit perfectly to Logan. Logan and Arthur have a similar story arc, and they make one of the best films and one of the best games ever made. No idea why I gushed this out... xD
I've did one with this song on my other channel of you want to see it, you obviously don't have to. But here's the link if you wish to see it: ruclips.net/video/17ni4M_vWRA/видео.html Thanks.

Swear to God man if someone would place a tombstone for Arthur in real life, thousands and thousands of RDR-players would visit it, its crazy when you think about it, but there it is. Arthur felt like a real person to every one of us and only those who played RDR2 can understand it.
I'd go.
I'd go. Living in Arthur's shoes for hundreds of hours was such an experience. I care more about Arthur Morgan than I do about most of the people I have to interact with irl.
I cried when I finished Arthur's story..... Every incredible moment, every good and bad choice, every life touched or taken came full circle for him.
Incredible storytelling, my favourite game in the world and a character that both hits home and makes me feel like an absolute badass. Thank you Rockstar

He felt that he was dying anyway so he made sure his family got out alive

Everyone: Micha needs to die!
Me: revenge is a luxury we can't afford
Tyler Boyer its so weird because killing micha at the end goes against everything Arthur would’ve wanted
RDR2 makes RDR1's ending even more depressing.

i agree with you and Arthur revenge is a luxury we can't afford
Damn you rockstar for making a grown man cry!
I cried....i ugly cried....
@@TallGoblin25 It does fit the game as a whole well, Idk if it's better for the theme of the game or not... So difficult to decide lol
@@redryder7521 I'm mean yes it does fit it in a good way. But to me hurt is a song of losing someone, as in died. Not dying. To me hung my head would be a better sound off, for the reason to me of the treachery and betrayal of a unknown figure.
Or even god gonna cut ya down. To at least another of a western game of rockstar's, maybe nit this one, but another. Lol
Even a better one, when the man comes around, that one fits the first rdr, but still a good one. You know the strange man.

Who else dressed Arthur as The Man In Black and got a Black Arabian horse to go with it in honour of Johnny Cash?
xxanexi_ •• I liked the fact that ingame there is a song by willie nelson "cruel cruel world" a close friend of johnny, and that in gta 5 there is "highwaymen" the song where johnny and willie sang together.

I feel the same, I'll just keep playing as John until the 100% of the game and later I'll start the campaign from the begining only for playing as Arthur, I really miss him right now
Did you know all that mattered to me was loyalty? It's all I ever believed in.
Please get this viral...
Drug Induced Fever dream Nah it’s a song ONLY for fucked up druggies. Not normal people.
Me finding my cat
Man dying of disantary vs a fucking bear
Those are really similar
here basically 2 years after this game and i still cry over arthur
The song actually works better with RDR2 then Logan
Aymee 247 Logan was a reflection of western movies, hence the use of Johnny Cash, and the film Shane on whilst in the hotel.
It symbolised the death of the X-Men films and showed how superheroes are doing the same arc as westerns (hugely popular, so too many are made and eventually losing favour with the audience because saturation).
In this regard then Cash’s Hurt fits perfectly to Red Dead, but that also makes it fit perfectly to Logan.
Logan and Arthur have a similar story arc, and they make one of the best films and one of the best games ever made.
No idea why I gushed this out... xD
Aymee 247 yep
