Brother, I saw one of the first pecos upward deflector plate you did . I removed my downward plate, scribed an 18 inch diameter on the removed plate and drilled some holes. I don’t have access to a welder nor do I know how to use one however I’m using rare earth magnets to hold in place. ( I’m sure they won’t hold when I add heat) Going to give it a try tomorrow with some chicken. Going to use probes to watch the temps. Thank you so much for your insight and inspiration. I got the newer brazo and boy I love it! Caster in the front , removable deflector, upgrade table in the front…also my first 1/4” smoker lol

Have a G2, got my plate today, doing a biscuit test as soon as I can. It’s raining so much I have to wait for a sunny day.
