My husband proposed to this song. 24 years after our wedding, he lost his battle with brain cancer, and this song was playing when he crossed. "Love is all around you. Love is knocking outside your door. Waiting for you is this love made just for two"
I met the drummer in Walmart a few weeks ago. He liked my youngest daughter’s personality so much he bought her a toy. Stood and talked for about 5 minutes. Hell of a nice guy
Two things about this.... 1. Omg I would never expect to meet someone like the drummer fir Tesla or any band that has/had some clout in Walmart period. 2. That is so incredibly awesome that he stopped to talk and bought your daughter a gift. Take away, note to self; don't go to Walmart looking like a troll just Incase. 🤣😅😬
Hahaha....funny my brother chatted with Jeff in a Walmart a few years ago in Rocklin, CA. These dudes have always been way laid back. We grew up in the same neighborhood and watched them in the City Kid days.
You HAVE to watch the official videos to these songs. Being a teen in the 80s was glorious. Getting to see all these bands live was an amazing experience.
One of the most beautiful ballads ever composed. Tesla is among the most underrated bands of all time, and Frank Hannon never gets the recognition he deserves as a guitarist.
Nothing better than Tesla live... hundreds ..or thousands of drunk people hugging and singing along ... beautiful thing.... summer nights...TESLA....awesome
Tesla seems to evoke strong emotions, you either love them or hate them. Personally, 5 Man Acoustical Jam is always on my 'required albums when stranded on a desert island' list, but know plenty who absolutely hate them. No accounting for taste!
Tesla was like the antidote to the LA hair bands of that era. All about the music, not the image, and a country and blues influence that set them apart from a lot of contemporary "metal" bands.
ehh not at all. They were definitely another hair band. More talent... yes. But lets be honest the antidote was coming just a year later with Nirvana and Pearl Jam
Wow...memories. brings me back to 1991 Malmstrom AFB out drinking at the bars. After copious pitchers of beer and countless games of pool. Someone would always kick this song off in the bar , literally the entire bar filled would sing this song.....❤
When I was younger I bought their album Mechanical Resonance on cassette on a whim and ended up breaking it I played it so much. Love the reactions. Real people. Keep it up.
Yes finally some Tesla!! Tesla is one of my all-time favorite band ever, so underrated it's a shame, keep on going on the Tesla train they have many many great songs. Here's some songs : Call It What You Want, Edison's Medicine, What You Give, Hang Tough, Modern Day Cowboy, Little Suzi, Gettin' Better, We're Not Good Together, Heaven's Trail (no way out), Don't De-Rock Me, Try So Hard.
I remember listening to a live version of this song back in 1993. I was in my 1987 blue Mazda 626. I was being kicked out of my house, I was moving 700 miles away and thinking about a girl I liked. It was dark summer month and i was the only person sitting in this state park. Memories.
Brad,... you are now officaily my reaction hero. One of the reasons I purchased my first guitar was due to Tesla, my third guitar was directly inspired by them. Check out "It's gettin' better",... I've been in and out of clinics almost a dozen times and a US Army veteran with more than a quarter of century service. That song has guided me from some very dark places,... it's also the first song I ever learned to play in it's entirety.
At 49 years old, I've seen close to 1000 concerts in my life. No joke. One of the first 10 was Tesla on the 5 Man Acoustical Jam tour. It still holds up, almost 30 years later.
TESLA is a severely underrated band. The lyrics and sheer musical talent are what separates them from most of the other bands during their era. TESLA is one of my favorite bands of all time.
Don't front, Brad - shed those tears and own your sensitive side! And Lex, you're rocking out the whole time! You're clearly a rock chick waiting to happen! Love you guys, keep posting...
I've loved this song since I first heard it in the 90s when a group of kids from school played the opening part during a talent show. One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Figured Lex would like this but hearing Brad talk about good guitar work and nearly being brought to tears (?) was a pleasant surprise. Modern Day Cowboy, Heaven's Trail (No Way Out), or Little Suzi are some rockers. Very underrated band in my opinion.
This is one of my favourites from back in the day. I was a senior in high school when this song was released--it is still as good to-day as it was back then!
I just love Lex. What a great personality. I love how she explains what she is feeling. She has an older soul. Iam 66 and havent seen some one express themselves so articuetly in many years, love that.
I remember when Tesla came out , and all the guitar dudes trying to learn the songs. Tesla is a great band , and I definitely have a soft spot for them forever!
My older brother passed away of cancer!!!! Loved these guy's!!¡!!!! Good to hear it,and other cultures listening and enjoying!!!❤️ Thanks guy's!( Made my day!)
He played a club I worked in about 15 years ago called Ecks Saloon. He was down to earth and treated the staff with respect. I was very impressed with his humility and kindness.
I grew up two streets over from these guys. I was in second grade we were not allowed on their driveway. They were practicing. I feature them in a Sturgis video, live 2022. 🤜🤛 I really like your channel !
I'm pretty sure I've already landed a comment on this vid, seeing as its been posted over a year ago, but it popped back up tonight in the YooToob algorithm and Brad... don't feel bad nor apologize for getting emotional. There's no shame in that. Feel it, brother. This song hits all the right notes for it. It is a truly beautiful song and if you don't feel a little emotional about it, then yr not human. It's a brilliant love song. Tesla (the band) were a HUGELY under-rated during their time. They fell in to the "hair-metal" category by no fault of their own. They weren't "Hair Metal." They actually had a real voice. Five Man Acoustic Jam is a great record that is worth exploring.

Absolutely, my favorite song by Tesla!! God, I remember going to all these concerts back in the day and you got enough money together to buy your ticket and a t-shirt.
Don't ever be afraid to show your vulnerability, Brad. Thats a POSITIVE!! If I was sitting next to that beautiful woman, listening to this song, I'd have to wrap my arms around her and tell tell her I love her!!
I learned this on guitar when I first started playing and it was very very difficult took me a week of consistent effort but I got a sloppy version down, now I got it note for note. Great song fun to play too
The best part of you guys reacting to the lyric video is the fact that you got to hear that awesome acoustic intro. The official video doesn’t have it but it shows them in concert which is still good. I’m sure you’ve heard this several times on this thread but they are very very very underrated. Frank and Tommy’s guitar playing are amazing.
Their greatest song is “WHAT YOU GIVE.”. The lead singer wrote it about his dog, who had just passed away…. If you love animals, you will love it !!!!!
Don't tell him there's a Live acoustic version. "5 man acoustical jam" is one of my all time favourite albums.
they fucking crush it during that show. it's the best version of this song for sure
@@cellamuert I love that Record, got it on Vinyl from when it was released.

Sorry sweetie for your loss
Losing a spouse is hard especially when children are involved so prayers for you
Sorry for your loss, I lost my wife 2 years ago. Very tough
Thank you for sharing this with us. Your inspiration is an inspiration. Much love.
That's one of the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I'm sorry for your loss
Too busy crying to reply……sorry my girl
Truly one of the great songs of the 80’s
Love the 1980s best times for me and best music 🎶🎶

That's awesome. It's always cool hearing stories like that.
I got to meet them in '88 when they toured with Def Leppard. They're all cool guys.
You HAVE to watch the official videos to these songs. Being a teen in the 80s was glorious. Getting to see all these bands live was an amazing experience.
no doubt. The videos made these songs so memorable
The 80’s were awesome 🤘
One of the most beautiful ballads ever composed. Tesla is among the most underrated bands of all time, and Frank Hannon never gets the recognition he deserves as a guitarist.
I remember seeing them years back and just being so mesmerized watching frank shred 🤙🏼
Frank is badass on the guitar and a genuine nice guy.
First of all all rock roll music has electric guitars. And Spoon man was all about Heroin. Not eating from your hands.
I love Jeff and Frank awesome!!
Wow smoke much crack?? They literally only have 2or 3 songs worth a crap🤦♂️
Nothing better than Tesla live... hundreds ..or thousands of drunk people hugging and singing along ... beautiful thing.... summer nights...TESLA....awesome
Tesla really should be talked about way more often than they are. They’re one of the most talented groups to ever play together.
Agreed. So many great songs.
Tesla seems to evoke strong emotions, you either love them or hate them. Personally, 5 Man Acoustical Jam is always on my 'required albums when stranded on a desert island' list, but know plenty who absolutely hate them. No accounting for taste!
They weren't too bad...

Yes. This band is highly underrated.
Brad is right. It's a beautiful song.
Tesla- Paradise.
One of the best songs and bands your ears will ever hear!
Tesla was like the antidote to the LA hair bands of that era. All about the music, not the image, and a country and blues influence that set them apart from a lot of contemporary "metal" bands.

The sound is called...Making the Guiter cry!!!
Brad is just memorized by this band and the lyrics and Lex just has the cutest stinky face I have ever seen. This two are my favorite reaction couple.
I walked down the aisle to two guitarists playing the opening of this song. So utterly gorgeous!
I have always loved Tesla. Positive vibes and lyrics. 35 year fan here 👍
Tesla is VERY underrated. Not the typical hair band.
Tesla was never a hair band, straight rock n roll
Tesla has just always been able to find a way to write such sincere and beautiful melodies.
Music comes from the heart. Both good and bad.
One of the best bands of the period. Tesla's guitar work is off the charts.
My first concert was Firehouse opening for TESLA!!!!! Johnson City ,TN 1991.
INCREDIBLE!!!!
So glad they reacted to the WHOLE song, and not just the shorted video one.
Gen X here. One of the best love songs of the 80's for sure!
Tesla is amazing!
It's okay Brad. Go ahead and let those emotions flow. You two really seem to have a great time being together. Really great to see.
Yeah, until she cheats on him with his friends

Did the EXACT same thing. Great album.
I remember seeing the video for Modern Day Cowboy when it first came out and went and bought Mechanical Resonance that weekend
That is a great album!
One of the most underrated bands ever. Seen them at least 5 times, when skmd of them formed Bar 7, seen them twice. Outstanding!!

You two are awesome, your honesty, quirkiness, I respect how you just own it.
This is apocryphal rock and roll. Tesla has been criminally underrated and ignored. They have opened for Def Leppard for probably 20 years.

One of the top 5 rock ballads of the 80s. Jeff Keiths voices is awesome and he still has it for the most part.
The beginning of this song was inspired by Randy Rhoads acoustical called Dee on the Blizzard Of Ozz album.
This song never runs out of gas, and drives itself.
The great songs stand the test of time
Finally someone reacted to the full song with the amazing acoustic intro. Little Suzi has a great intro too.
I don’t know how Tesla was ever considered underrated? They were one of the best 80’s bands out there with great lyrics and musicianship!!
Underrated because they never became a headlining band, always an opener...but imo Top 5 band of the 80s
the acustic intro is what my wife walked down the Isle to at our wedding
Criminally underrated band. Awesome live band too. Always great.
I’ve seen Tesla live 5 times so far and they’re awesome every single time
