    Hey Tabs, thanks for reacting to the comments on the last videos.
    Also, fatphobia aside, why is it that some people gain an unusual amount of weight (up to 500+lbs) where movement and day-to-day life becomes harder? Just from biological point of view and can it really be only from diet cycles?
    I've seen many of similar comments when it comes to unrestricted eating, I would really like to know your opinion about this.

    Can you please make a similar video about premenstrual eating, I always eat more before my period but it feels wrong because of societies judgements and expectations. Even videos on RUclips about how to avoid weight gain and eating during the premenstrual phase 🙄🙄🙄 many years I resisted it (the urge to eat more) but usually ended up in a binge anyway so was pointless. Why can't it just be widely accepted and talked about that the body craves and needs more during this time?!!!

    Being anxious definitely takes up energy!!!!! It's exhausting, of course we need to replenish energy reserves

      We need to just trust our bodies!!!

      @Sheela Narayanan yes. Most definitely they can especially anxiety because of all of the physiological changes in the body.

    I’m afraid I don’t agree that unrestricted eating ( as in, eat what you want, when you want and how much you want) is for everyone. It definitely has a place in ED recovery but for the general population, I think mindful eating with no food rules is more . However, I acknowledge that there are different opinions on this matter and that’s ok

    If my psychologist said to me to stop eating even if I’m hungry after a “normal sized meal” so my hunger/fullness can come back to “normal”, should I do that? That trigged me so much but I trust my psychologist, but now when she said that, I don’t know anymore..

      Sometimes it's more important to trust your body than to trust your psychologist

    • @SaphirBeere
      @SaphirBeere 4 года назад +5

      Well.. I would have a problem with the term "normal sized meal", how can we generalize meal portions if everybody has different needs? Also, in different times we have different energy demands. I agree, trust your body, it knows you better.

      Your psychologist does not have your body. In this case, the only thing you should truly be trusting is your body. It's needs, it's hunger cues. Nobody else has the ability or right to tell you whether you're hungry or not.

      Part of taking care od yourself is to make yourself eat anyway. I react to stress the same way and now I know I need to press myself to eat because otherwise my ED come back

      @Sheela Narayanan during your ED physical hunger and fullness signals are messed up. You should not rely on them. because in most cases you are going to undereat. So everytime you are thinking about food, just eat. Thats perfect. About sugar addiction, read this article
      isarobinsonnutrition.co.uk/blog/food-addiction-wheres-the-science-at
      It can be very helpful for you to realise that THERE IS NOT ANY FOOD ADDCITION. You cannot be addicted on essential thing for life.

      @Sheela Narayanan of course you can eat fast! My brother has never had eating disorder but he finishes lunch in 5 minutes. He doesn´t even chew just swallow. Everybody eats in different pace. Just eat. Do not overthink it :-)

      It is much harder, it has been for me and it has taken me to a large body size. But you can never live a fufilled life dieting and restricting. Unrestricted eating and Rewiring fear of weight gain is the only healthy way to go

    • @emilywarren3053
      @emilywarren3053 4 года назад

      @Sheela Narayanan Thanks so much, we're all on this journey together! I think it would be unwise to restrict anything in your recovery. It leaves a place for your eating disorder to hide while you're trying to recover and it'll just reemerge later in my experience

    • @emilywarren3053
      @emilywarren3053 4 года назад

      @Sheela Narayanan You have to decide and commit to recovery and part of that is giving yourself unconditional approval to eat. You are right there's no such thing as too much food in recovery. It's not going to be easy but finding support and reading the right books have been very useful for me. Tabitha's books are great
