I have a 2022 Forte Gt 6-speed manual and love this car and so much fun this is coming from an owner of a 2021 Civic Type R. Not one issue the Forte is a 10 out of 10.
Glad you’re loving it man the 6-Speed must be sweet! Good luck with the car 👍🏼
My wife has a Civic SI and I have a 6 spd Forte GT. I love both. The Kia shocked me at how awesome it is
💯
How's the back seats? I have a baby lol 💀
@@EARTHSOUL_Asm its great, best I ever had out of any vehicles (and I used to have an suv). And I got 1 infant and a toddler.

I own a GT2. It's by no means a race car but it's a blast to drive as a daily. I am honestly shocked at how well it handles. I use it for longer distance trips as well and I average about 35-36 mpg with a passenger and luggage. The trunk is enormous and the seats are very comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish the brakes had more bite, but for $28k-ish you can't beat it.
Have you found an upgrade for the breaks?
What about the 7 speed dct transmission I heard they are garbage how do you make it last longer
@@CristinaMoya-yt4tb yes they are. mine is in the shop. only 9.895 miles on it. getting a new trans put in it. i never drove it hard. just use it to go to work.
Not surprised how fun this car is to drive. I own a Hyundai Elantra N, so I know Hyundai/KIA can build a quick, great handling, fun, economical car. Great review all around!
I loved my 2020 KIA Forte GT so much, that I purchased a 2023 KIA FORTE GT. MY 2020 I purchased new, after 3 years and 90 K miles on it. No issues at all. The Forte GT is a great value , much better compared to the Honda. Civic and Toyota Corolla. Great review, extremely informative, best reviewI have seen.
I had a 2023 gt manual and I just recently got in a wreck…it’s an amazing car and it did an amazing job at keeping me safe. No injuries and I was hit at a light while the other driver was going ~45mph
RIP to your GT. But I'm glad to hear that it did the job of being a safe car. What are you getting next?
I crashed my forte gt line and I have to agree i got hit at 50mph also and the car took it really well compared to the other so yeah it will keep you safe fs
@@stiffzombie1537 I have a Kia K5 gt line, it was in at my local dealership and it’s been really nice so far
@@pinkytwinkie1that’s what I wanted haha. The k5. I love them. I have a 2021 forte gt line
I bought this car about a week ago, with GT2 package, very excited for it to arrive next week. Looks like fun
Could please tell how much it is?
It is. I've had mine for a month and I'm so happy. Just got tint put on and i absolutely love going out for night drives now
@@maiwandhaidari6963 I live in San Diego, CA. For me there’s not really cars on the lot, and they added a 5k “limited availability,” markup. The MSRP for the GT2 is like 27k. So with that mark up it was 32k plus taxes, licensing and other stuff they wanted to add such as ceramic coating and packages. They originally brought it upwards of 37k, and we were able to get it down to 30k including everything.
@@imtheturtle4yt432 hell with that I’m trying to buy one as just my daily so I don’t put too many miles on my 2018 s4 and nobody around Pittsburgh pa has one with the gt2 package
I bought my Sporty Blue 22 GT2 in Nov. 21. I had a 21 GT but traded up when I saw the refresh look. I was the 1st in my are to get his hands on one had to drive 3 hours away to another dealer to get it. I got 250HP coming from motor and swapped out the factory tires for a set of Good Year, the extra HP with the new tires, this car is a blast to drive. The local Kia dealership here keeps contacting me to see if I'm ready to trade up as they like what i done. But love the car!!!!
highly underrated car. There is a reason people who know about these cars call them the "baby stinger". stock is it as fast as a stinger? no. but they certainly have some pep to them. and the aftermarket is pretty good for them as well. you can make 250 wheel pretty easy with these. and trust me 300 crank horsepower in a 3100 pound car is pretty damn quick.
I just got a 2023 Forte Gt2 6 speed manual same exact color and I love it so far.
Brought a 23 gt2 a month ago, love it. Added air intake and a 5 dollar kit for the bypass valve and it sounds great. Seems like it has decent potential for tuning if you really want to make it faster
Yes!! This will be my dream car too friend.
Good choice! 👍🏼
got my 22 forte gt2 for $24,500 used with 5k miles on it... was a steal for such a great car
Nice review. Seems like a lot of features for your $$$ and bonus points for not having a CVT!!!. I like the Forte's looks MUCH better than its Elantra sibling which has that embarrassing front end. Now, if only they could get the "N" powertrain into this Kia body style instead of the Elantra.
Agreed man this is an awesome car!! Thanks for the comment 👍🏼
i put in my order nearly 2 weeks ago, i cannot wait for it to come, hoping its not crazy long
Hopefully it’ll come in asap good luck!! 👍🏼
Greetings from Prince Edward Island Canada!!..got this car in March , in Canada the GT2 is called GT limited...and includes a heated steering wheel...its been a blast to drive so far! friends I take for a drive in it are quite impressed at how quick it is....big fan of the channel..great review!!
Thanks man good luck with the car!! 👍🏼
I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am happy to see another Canadian like this. I want this over Honda and Toyota.
@@lavonnealexander6936 it's been a great car so far...I would definitely recommend checking it out if your looking for a new ride...great on gas too!
I have the 2023 Kia Forte GT2 Turbo 🎉🎉🎉 and let me tell you is a heck of a machine there's nothing to complain about this car for the price you are paying for , people talk about the Honda Civic SI , Corolla or Volkswagen that they are better than the forte which they should be because they are more expensive than the Kia but in performance they go side by side , this Kia has the same HP than the Civic SI and more hp than the Corolla if you aren't including the GR version that's another beast , I'm glad I bought this car is freaking awesome 😎👍 and the warranty come on can't be compared
Sounds awesome glad you’re liking it!! Good luck with the car 👍🏼
The gr Corolla is a 50k car, no thanks on that one. If I'm spending 50k on a sports car I might as well get a scat pack or an S3 or sum shit
Very detailed about the interior, I like it. Now that the Si costs so much more, this is in my budget and looks pretty fun
I had the new civic si for a year before it got wrecked and got this in manual. This is the better car for sure. Way more features. Only thing better on civic is little better feeling transmission and the LSD.
I traded in my V6 Twin Turbo Fusion Sport to get this. I needed a more fuel efficient daily driver that was fun to drive. That's exactly what I got!
I totaled my 2022 Forte GT2, and I loved the car but at the time I couldn't find another GT2 to replace it so I ended up getting a new Civic touring having the car for 6 months the Forte GT was a way better car. The Forte GT2 has more options for less money plus the Forte just felt more solid I had no rattles whatsoever but the Civic the whole interior rattles! I also miss the DCT. I'll probably dump it soon and go back to Kia.
Could you please tell me how was the gas comparison to civic?
great review! loving the sound of the car and the moonroof as well as the great fuel economy! looking to upgrade my current 2015 Nissan sentra, going to reward myself with this car for sure
I have a 2020 GT, great car. I have 90000 miles after 3 years. No issues . Sport mode is very noticeable.
Thanks for sharing this review.
Really awesome review! Just wish these were as reliable as a Corolla or a Civic, but looks really fun to drive and with that killer sound system and power moonroof I don't think you could get a better car for the money. Heated and ventilated seats too? Wow.
Yeah man it’s an unbelievable value! With the 100k mile warranty, probably worth the risk considering the more powerful civic engines are also turbocharged now🤷🏻♂️ thanks for the comment! 👍🏼
They are dude
Yes the Civic SI is turbocharged and it has the same horsepower as the Kia Forte GT Turbo , I've seen them in a drag race and there's not much difference in performance between these 2 they go toe to toe the only difference in here is that the Honda Civic SI is really overpriced if you get the touring package it's like 4000 more expensive than the Kia Forte GT by the way this Forte has more horsepower than the Corolla , if you aren't talking about the GR that's another animal
Great Review! Getting one Saturday!
Thanks for your reviews. Using them to help figure out the best car for my daughter this will be her first new car. So just trying to giude her she was set on a 2023 Elantra N but the Dealers want to add on 3 to 5K over MSRP It's crazy how the car market has changed
just bought my gt yesterday. i had one dealership try to sell me it for 35k charging bs stuff like lojack. went to another dealership and got out the door price of 27.8. go to another dealership, and i prob recommend getting the GT line cause if im being honest the few extra grand isn't worth the "sports mode" IMO
ive had my 23 forte GT 6-speed and I'm always looking for a reason to drive it, its so much fun
I watched your two videos and I would like to know which one you preferred between the elantra n-line and the kia forte gt?
I own this car and watching you test out lane keep on a section where the lane markers disappear for like 30ft makes me cringe. What a surprise it stopped working there.
Going to go test drive one on saturday!
Looking to get one of these in manual. Can't find one though. And in your video you had on the sticker $1125 destination fee? That's ridiculous high
I wonder what the long term reliability looks like on these. I’ve been stuck between buying one or a civic sport.
I've had the luck of driving both and would definitely say the forte GT2 is overall my preferred pick but Honda reliability is unbeatable. I also think a civic Si is a more fair comparison against the GT2
Just to add on to this….I think Honda holds their value waayyyy better than KIA.
My 2019 Ex Launch Edition has a selection between Passive Lane Keep Assist and Active Lane Keep Assist. If you select the Active mode the autonomous steering improves a lot. Not sure if the 2023 has that function though.
Very beautiful and cool Forte GT2 for the money.
Does all GT2 models come with a spare tire? The ones I’ve been have only come with those emergency inflation kits.
Good format
How dose it compare to VW GLI?
I saw another review that said it has ambient lighting, is that true?
Yes ,only on the doors n the gt logo
I have wanted this car as a daily driver and it’s like impossible to get one they want me to give them money and wait 6 months no I’m good I can’t even test drive it first lol ?!
When is the blind view camera?
Is it fire proof?
Here’s an important stat to know… it has 195 ft lb of torque FROM 1,500 THROUGH 4,500 RPM. That’s a big old flat torque curve. That’s why it can rip after you’re already moving.
Do these new KIA forte gt lines come with floor mats with the car or not?!
yuh
Cum-ho tires 😂. I thought it was pronounced Ku-Mo.
But hey I might be wrong 🤷
So I have this car, but how do you get the led lights to flicker like that? :o it’s super cool
If you’re refereeing to the outside of the car during the walk around, they are not actually flickering its the refresh rate of his camera.
Ohhhh ok ty
@@kristiewilliams7196 No problem
Are those Bronco Sports just abandoned there
Hertz actually owns part of that lot and they use it to store some of their cars lol it’s really tough to find empty and quiet places in that area, and I try not to put more than a couple miles on the cars. Otherwise id take it to a quiet park parking lot but there just unfortunately aren’t any In that area
Great car it might be my next car. Something you can't quite "review" though is how long it will last. And if something breaks like the engine will Kia try to weasel out of the warranty. So it may be inexpensive today but may need a new car sooner than later. But I hope I'm wrong.
I got one back 8 months ago and I’ll say it feels refined yet mechanical. Nothing broke plus you also get a fantastic warranty. My dealership gave me a lifetime as long as I own the car free of charge
I have a loaded 2014 Kia Cadenza. I walk up to the car, get in and start it up, the mirrors unfold, the lights come on. The driver seat and steering wheel move to my preset position, and the headlights move up down and side to side. I throw it into reverse and drive away, the rear sunshade drops down, then back up automatically. My car has only been in for routine maintenance, and a lost key fob. Kia has been making long lasting cars for awhile now. The lane keep assist, radar cruise and pano roof heated steering wheel all still work as they should. Oh, I had to recharge the a/c last year. Still very happy with my car, would like to get a Genesis some day, as they no longer have a Cadenza option in Canada.
@@minew0lfand when that warranty time comes kia will tell you to kick rocks. They are one of the worst companies for customer service. There is a reason honda and toyota are ranked in the top 5 brands and kia doesn't even rank in the top 10.
@@Chris-h9l5x googled “top ten car brands” and Kia was 7, you may just of had a bad experience but my dealer gave me a life time powertrain free of charge (his words: as long as you own the car) and maintenance has been smooth.
@@Chris-h9l5x 22+ kias are fine, I have heard awful things about previous generations but in comparison I had a ford before my Kia and the AC broke after 30k miles. Traded it in and got a Kia. I actually had worse service at the ford dealership. They kept chipping my cars paint with tools. When I went to purchase a focus ST that they said was one of their mechanics cars they sold me a lemon, 33k miles, trans was already replaced and both front axels were bad and didn’t tell me before the purchase. Rescinded the purchase and when my AC went out the owner of the dealership after having my car their for eight hours; they did nothing with it not even look and the owner said “yeah we’ll order the part” when he never did. Didn’t want to deal with ford and bought my Kia. It’s better than my ford and has 10x the features for like 10k more than my previous car. As the ford dealership owner said “not everything is made perfect”
Leaving a comment 👍
Cumho tires?
Is it faster then a Cadi CTS 3.6...
Only issue: Hyundai Elantra N Line has a full color gauge display. I prefer the Forte GT over the N Line Elantra but that full led display makes the Forte's look dated.
How's the road noise inside as you drive it?
Love this car so much, but it’s noisy af. Any imperfection on the road is felt, and wind noise is horrid. The Car is also light due to having minuscule insulation, hence why it feels feisty for 201hp. There are a few options to reduce noise, such as noise deadening and getting better tires. The cabin noise is really the only major con in this car. Overall it’s a phenomenal car for the price 9/10.
Forte GT looks like Civic banged Corolla and they had a baby together. Elantra N-Line has a Sportier Coupe look.
It looks nothing like either Civic or Corolla.
@@redrock861 sure
@@nehalpatel4244 you can tell the difference between a square and a triangle at least, right?
@@redrock861 naw, really?? I did not know that. Oh wow!!
@@redrock861 might wanna get your eyes checked out. Definitely Civic front and Corolla's rear!!
good price 👍
Very!
Never heard of a Com Ho tire. lol
❤❤ u are so good looking.
Hyundai Kia is the new Toyota Honda
I live in IL and these Forte GT2's are anywhere from 25-29k still some BS going on with dealers. I like the LSX rims better then the GT's honestly. The red ring looks like kids shit.
There aren't any on lots where I live. You have to order it and commit to buying before even driving it. I'm good. Kia dealerships are some of the worst.
This car easily gaps the V6 boats from dodge

Freight and handling is costly...but trust me its WORTH IT!.
That’s like a $15k car! Sad times we is in for sure
They wanna charge me 32k after taxes for this car. Im not sure what to choose anymore. :/
Sexy papi I had the 2020 civic SI and I now own this car in manual. I feel like speed wise u might feel it but for rice and comfort this and speed ,this is the way to go. I paid cash on both cars. Like this is the way to go with no car payments and nice ride
But would this car last 200 thousand miles how will flushing out the transmission fluid work 🤯
Learn how to video without getting LED flicker. That's so annoying. You make money on RUclips videos, then learn how to actually video.
