    The new Scout 101 is very much a reimagined victory octane in my eyes. And thats a very, VERY good thing! The inverted (Ohlins?) front end, Brembo brakes, and it looks amazing.

    Should of kept old style of the bobber, and just added ride command, that new radiator and a larger factory rear tyre.
    Ill stick to my '22

    I was hoping they maintained the older look and just added features and some preformance upgrades. The newer style isn't as good as the old one. It does look a lot better than the Nightster, though. The updated performance and features are nice.

    Bobber for me. 101 is noice…but that chrome does my head in! I’d paint it straight away.

    Bikes look fantastic! That new engine is so well put together. No exposed wiring or tubing. Unlike Harley where the clutch side of the engine looks unfinished and cheap!

    I likey, I’d probably buy a scout now cos it tickles my fancy more than the past line up. But first I’d have ta ride it.

    I love the new scout line up. Really beautiful bike. The paint is fantastic, particularly on the 101. I love the new engine, new frame and new suspension and especially the a la carte pricing.
    However; I would have loved it if they could have drop 10-15 lbs and added another 10hp to the bike.
    I agree with you on ride modes: I have a challenger and a pursuit. Both of them are plenty fast out of the box in the normal ride mode. I tend to put the challenger on Saturdays with the boys, when we’re going to be cooking in the mountains and the canyons. As for the pursuit; I keep it in normal mode around town, but when I’m touring I put it in sport mode so that I can easily pass truck and cars. But that’s just me.

    I like the look of my 19 scout bobber way better but i think they did a decent job on the new ones. Wont be running in to get a new one any time soon.

    I'm drawn to the Super Scout. I agree would like to see the fenders more like the classic. Love you can get cruise but was hoping for more fuel capacity. All in all pretty excited about the new bikes!

    I like that they kept a similar look to the current line up. I am undecided on this or a Chief. There is not enough of a price difference to sway me either way. I do longer rides, but I am used to doing them on my 60. Who knows.

    Tank redesign looks "ok" but not great. Hating the rear fender on the bobber and 101 though. Cruise control and tft is great!

    Great over-view, man.
    I was wrong about the Scout 101 name: I thoughts that would be used on a much smaller and lighter machine to compete with Royal Enfield.
    The 101 will be the conquest bike to win sales away from other brands, but for me - here in the UK with our shitty, potholed roads - it'd either be a Bobber with those bar risers as an extra or a Sport Scout.
    I live the new tubular steel frame (another failed prediction for me - I thought that keep the aluminium front frame); the steel looks very sleek and hides the rad better.
    Fit & finish looks awesome - and the bikes are way ahead of Harley-Davidson's Sportster S and Nightster with far less plastic apparent.
    Bearing in mind the common rear subframe, I think they've missed the opportunity to add more rear suspension travel, but I guess the styling of the Bobber, Sport Scout & 101 had to prevail.
    That new engine looks great on paper: although the old Scout doesn't need more BHP, the extra torque & flatter torque curve are welcome and may well eat into New Chief sales.
    Hopefully economy will be unchanged as the tank is hardly any bigger; surely another half liter was not too much to ask?
    Good to see a fuel guage, though...
    I don't get too excited about ride modes & tech, but that could be because I've never owned a bike with all that, so I'll keep an open mind.
    Sounds like they've worked on the ergonomics & comfort - that might help make up for the meagre 50mm rear suspension travel on all but the Classic.
    And let's just say that the new exhaust will keep the after-market manufacturers in business!
    I wonder when we'll see these here in the UK? I'm guessing dealers outside the US will have to choose specs for bikes in advance, so the options may be a moot point for us on this side of the pond.
    Thanks for your work - looking forward to seeing more 👍
    I

    Personally, I prefer gen 1 industrial aesthetics more than the smooth looks on gen2. I don’t think it’d be worth trading in my current scout for .1 more fuel range and 5 hp. Plus I already have cruise control and will be doing an experimental fuel gauge in the near future. Big bore kit on my gen1 next year will make this scout irrelevant. Tbh i wouldn’t put the new one over the old, however I don’t hate it, just think they could’ve done better- Unpopular opinion I’m guessing.

    Kinda have mixed feeling a bit with the new scout not gonna lie. The performance upgrade and creature comfort like cruise control is a mega plus, but the new design is not for me. Not sure why they decide to go with an old school tube frame design, it makes the scout looks like any other old cruiser and also, makes it look like a chief with radiators and I'm not a fan. The current lineup of scout has a distinct modern look to it with the tubeless frame design they had, and now they abandon it. Kinda feels like a 1 step forward, 1 step backwards if that makes any sense.

      @TheBeardedBobber  9 месяцев назад

      I definitely see what you’re saying. I’m in the same boat kinda. I know they say for more customization. Which people have been doing a lot with Chief. So might be some cool stuff to see in the future and who knows aftermarket wise.
      Cruise control is the one thing I want for my 2018 bobber but I guess I’ll live in the past for awhile. Lol

      I found a company thats making LED headlights for various auto models but with the glass lense and just overall a very bery high quality compared to a ford flex. To me that level of quality is what im looking for. Indian is very close. I have some skill with full grain leathers so to me the seat is junk but thats not bad for me to get done the way ive gotta do it since i can. You notice new cars look like shit because the headlights faded out and old cars look brand new because they used to care about quality and budget at the same time. They still sorta do but they go with plastic lenses because you can replace them cheaper but you will have to. The seat im making will be good stuff. A real showstopper paint job. I had a 2008 kawasaki it had a glass lense halogen headlight with a metal bucket to me thats heirloom quality stuff glass is so much more durable than plastic if it doesnt shatter. I like companies like that

    Looks very similar to the previous model. They didn't stray far at all in terms of looks. The shocks on the sports version(101) Could of been one inch higher to really set it apart. They claim "more" than 100HP I wonder how much more. Like the dual discs on the sport and inverted forks.

    • @TheBeardedBobber
      @TheBeardedBobber  9 месяцев назад

      The 101 scout has 111hp the regular models 105
      The previous is 100hp but I know mine tuned shot up. So I can only imagine how this will be once tuned. And if they didn’t have emissions we could probably see more.
      A lot of people I’ve heard didn’t want a lot of change so see where it goes.

      So I believe it’s the bike class it’s in. This bike stays in the mid cruiser class then next step is Chief then Springfield then baggers.
      I feel like same thing with sportster it’ll be the smaller bike always.

  • @DC-sj1rg
    @DC-sj1rg 9 месяцев назад +2

    This new redesign is a copy-and-paste Harley. I understand changes need to be made, but they changed the BEST features of the bikes instead of the worst. All we needed was a PRO model of each style of scout with ride command and better shocks. The engine looks cheaper and erases the character of previous-gen models.

      Cry me a river i like it more now than Before but that last engine was still a looker no dount about it. I think i perfered the two seperate exhausts but at the same time i know they have a habit of rattling their bolts out to to me the less parts that can rattle off the more reliable it is so a 2 into 1 I mean it is what it is
