    You KNOW you built a solid bike when the best people can come up with to criticize is the motor being “too smooth”! I swear, some people will complain about anything! 😂 Love that bike!!!

      I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK 🤔

    • @majrminer
      @majrminer 5 месяцев назад +1

      There’s more than the motor that many people feel is lacking, and makes the bike lack the awesome character of the original scout and scout bobbers. A large swath feel that the rear fender doesn’t look better, the two into one doesn’t look right, and the tank lost its lines. So yeah, clearly the motor being smooth makes it lack that character that the Scout became so well known for. I mean, to each their own, which is why it’s interesting that you think the ONLY thing people don’t like is the external design of the motor. More power with only 0.1 gal more tank capacity? What genius thought that up?
      So if you think people didn’t buy a Scout for its looks, you’re nuts. Sure the new bike likely performs better in many metrics, but that’s not the point when the original Scout looked so much better and performed just fine at a lower price point… which you could tune. The new models are locked out.
      Genius.

    • @TheBeardedBobber
      @TheBeardedBobber  5 месяцев назад

      @@majrminer well I bought my OG bobber for the looks. The new bike rides like a tuned version of my bike. The exhaust has to go. I never consider the exhaust since I never want stock exhaust.
      In my personal opinion I don’t care for the new tank top piece and the smooth motor but I like the new rear fender and the fact that all models can share stuff for the rear.
      I’m guessing what other peoples opinions are gonna be. Everyone I’ve met in person at 3 different spots with this bike the main thing I hear is smooth motor but they ride it and loved it.
      I’ve talked about the very small amount of gas that was added. Do I wish it was more yes but it’s supposed to now get more range according to Indian motorcycle. I’ve also said the scouts most likely will never really get more gas since they are the lower section of the line. I’m not the makers but I see why they do these things. It’s definitely not my wish.
      I still like the looks of my bobber 2018 more but some of the changes make sense and the 101 rides like a dream. If someone does get a chance to tune this bike I think it’ll be a beast.
      Have a good night

    An excellent part of the lineup incorporating feedback we all wanted. Unfortunately, these bikes will be rare because the cost on them is way up there. 20K OTD for a Scout is steep. I paid that much for my Chief Darkhorse. I still want a 101, even after having a Scout Bobber Twenty, but I'm not sure the price is justifiable. Maybe if you've got only one bike then I could see it.

  • @norbertegi4258

    • @TheBeardedBobber
      @TheBeardedBobber  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! I love and hate that question lol. I would need to ride them back to back but I think I’d maybe go Chief. • @norbertegi4258
      @norbertegi4258 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@TheBeardedBobber Yeah, it’s a hard choice that I’m trying to make. Initially I was set for the Scout, but having ridden both the (old) Scout and the Chief, I found the Chief to be a better bang for the buck with the better suspension, seat, ride command, dual front break, etc., but certainly liked the Scout’s nimbleness and power at higher rpm, although the Chief in sport mode is pretty quick too. This new 101 overcame all the shortcomings of the old Scout and is much closer to the Chief in terms of bang-for-the buck. It’s sort of a good problem to have to having to choose between two great platforms though… 😅

    • @TheBeardedBobber

    • @norbertegi4258
      @norbertegi4258 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, with the old Scout it was an easier decision. The Chief was way more advanced in technology and also more comfortable that made it worth despite being heavier. The new 101 overcame all those issues and it even adds extra lean angle and traction control and has all the other tech stuff that make it really well rounded. I wish I hadn’t fallen for the Chief in the meanwhile. :) Now I got to reevaluate my “love”. 😂

      These ones I believe are pre production so I don’t think they will get sold. Since they were so early in production. Usually that’s the break in period but same thing I think these had a break in at factor. I could be wrong but it didn’t feel like a break in bike.
      I agree though demo bikes are a roll of the dice. I’ve helped my local dealer run the demo truck and people really don’t care about bikes. Do way worse stuff than what I did.
      Also thankfully these bikes are never tuned to where they really can redline which keeps them safer I think.

    Forward controls are pointless on this bike... and the price is really asinine compared to the Sport Chief.

      I personally like the forwards for most riding. They do have mid controls from Indian. I was surprised to see the forwards on here from factory.
      I’ve seen a few people already that want it over the sport chief now. I would be on the fence myself but this motor is fun. The sport chief with more torque and fuel is a huge win. I’m interested to see how people choice between them.

      It’s just a demo bike not one that is for sale anywhere. Production bike a month or two before any even hit dealerships.
