They seem to like making him buff when he is older wich I don't have an issue with it like that design of him with both carnage and venom was sick even if the story was meh
I actually really like the idea that he gets buffer as he gets older. Although I didn’t imagine him being built like Apollo creed but if 90s Peter is built like Arnold Schwarzenegger then aye fair enough
Dan Slot and his consequences have been a detriment to Marvel as a whole. They learned you can just create engagement by ruining good characters to get people to read your book.
This book was good when it wasn’t trying to be DKR and then bad when it was trying to be DKR. It’s not good, but it’s not the worst Spider-Man either. It’s an anomaly lol
That's why I got it. But it's a lame attempt. Bad writing, bad art. Feels like a 10 year olds attempt at a parody of the Dark Knighy Returns. Cause it is NOT dark. It is comedy, just not that funny.
Well people didn't like it so of course they will say "it's AI" I made a shitty joke once and someone ACCUSED ME OF USING AI because they didn't like the joke
My only question is, why do they have to shoehorn Miles into every universe? Look, I like Miles Morales. He's one of my favourite fictional characters but shoehorning him into every universe doesn't seem right. Also, Buff Miles looks good ngl
For the sake of a bad joke, I'm surprised they didn't make another Marvel Zombies reboot but with Miles and some of the other young heroes being the first ones to get infected.
Also, my favorite version of Miles is The End version but again, it feels off here for a time travel plot. Especially one where it's supposed to be set in the 90s.
Well as long as they leave my favorite alternate older peter parker alone. EARTH X in that world mj died of cancer too. But as for reign i never expected this it seems like him and miles are enemies I'm going to read this for sure. I wish we got animated films of these comics. Like how warner bros/dc comics does. Although the tomorrowverse sucks (dc animated universe) currently
@@takeruneverborn4740 I’d like to see a more adult Miles in the future as a way of showing how he’s grown past his younger years and how his life goes compared to how Peter handled life post his school years and in adulthood. I’d just hope Miles doesn’t fall into the same downward spiral Peter goes through post One more day and especially Zebra Wells run.💀💀💀
Its like they're determined to have Miles one-up Peter at every turn. Not only did they make a sequel to one of Peter's WORST moments but they replace him on the cover with Miles who's fucking JACKED well into his 70s to 80s for some reason. Miles has no reason to be here. This sequel has no reason to exist. Also did I miss something? Why is Black Cat still in her youth while everyone else is decaying on their feet?
I think as a story overall it is a solid story. I love the artwork reflecting the world’s view. Spider-Man still being Spider-Man even in his old age saving the day. Visiting MJ’s grave saying he still has responsibilities. Bodying the sinister 6 in his old age I just don’t like shock value stuff personally tho just feels cheap sometimes
I was amongst the 1% who liked this story and I still love the ending to this day. I somehow came across it back when I was in middle school or high school and was intrigued by how bleak yet hopeful it is. It's so weird how out of everything in the book, people seem to be hyper-focused on the Spider-juice, I think actually having his "radioactive blood" playing a big role in this story is super unique and elevates it from being just a throwaway line in his theme song. (Side note here. A while back, I came across a controversial indie game where you play as a pair of cannibalistic siblings who commit borderline unspeakable crimes and the thing that everyone is the most upset about is that the siblings may be romantically into each other, so much so that they actually doxxed the dev and forced her off of the internet. Again, a game about actual cannibals and people are most offended by the incest.) With that said, why the hell would they make a sequel? The story already ended on a good note, everything is resolved. Now you're throwing us into an even bleaker future than the one we already got out of? And why is Miles here? If I remember correctly, the original run predate his creation so Miles never existed in this universe, which is why he was never mentioned in the story. Having him here and giving him this big of a role feels out of nowhere.
Spider-man is one of the most beloved and popular comicbook characters. Why is it soooo hard to find Spider-man comics that are good? At least the current Ultimate Spider-Man is good.
Oh for the love of CHRIST why did THIS get a SEQUEL!?😭 It isnt even WORTH reading Spidey comics today. The new USM is good but its SOOOO SLOW PACED its hard to weight a MONTH for so LITTLE Story Progression Sigh...I'll just forever hold on to Renew Your Vows being the only Spidey run that matters😔
IF they keep same tone what 1st Dark Reign had with Miles than the book is going 2 be very controversial in these days. I do love the Venom behind you. Venom is 1 of mine 2 fav characters in general. This Miles is like a mix of 1610 Miles (the well known 1) and 616 Miles (idk if he is still canon after Hickman made story of setting up the new Ultimate Universe).
While I don't know why thru dud a sequel, but I am interested in the story, and honestly, u know the whole future is fucked beyond recognition, when of all people, the green goblin says we need to go back in time and fix it.
I guess marvel loves making peter life hell that they going into the marvel vault and looking into the radioactive spider if you know you know to make it even worse this time Old Man Peter is even Older and actually meets the granddaughter/Daughter of Felicia who aids against reign 2 antagonist
Gonna skip this one. The first one was already a good story. Beginning middle and end. This sequel feels unnecessary based off everything I've heard here.
The artwork is very very different.... You mean it sucks? But it does match the atrocious writing. MJ dying and how she died are not a problem. The darkness isnt the problem either. It doesn't feel dark. It feels incoherent and a stupid attempt at comedy. And again....the artwork. I often dont even know what was going on half the time. It was touted as a Dark Knight Returns for Spidey. BS. TDKR was a coherent dark story.
Miles being super buff is kinda weird to me I'm more used to him being skinny or having lean muscle
Yeah and I’d rather he stay skinny or more lean

It’s basically the dark knight returns for Spider-man

More like Marvel try-harding a The Dark Knight Returns with Spidey.

To make it even worse, apparently theres rumors that the artists used AI to make some of the backgrounds lmfao
The artists have come out and said that they did not use AI but "mixed media photo bashing", still doesn't make it less distracting or out of place.
