2 years ago we went ketovore and I changed my favorite recipes from my Mother into my new lifestyle. It has been challenging but fun! Usually, the only strict guidelines to follow are in baking which is more science than going with instincts while cooing a meal. Use what you like and what your family likes and don't forget to have fun with it. I too grew up eating liver and onions and still love it.😊 even my 31-year-old son still loves it!
I will say I’m not a great baker. I need to sharper those skills!
OH MY WORD! I have been making these and not cooking them as long. Those look so much better than mine! I just bought more pecans yesterday. I am ON IT!

Thanks for the encouraging video! I try to get my kids to experiment and try cooking in the kitchen. My mom is from the deep south and she always cooks from the heart, with everything being a “pinch” or a “smidgeon” of stuff😁
Your mom is awesome! I know it’s so tempting to go for perfection and follow a recipe. I’ve done that so many times. And every time, when I add or omit something that works best for us, it turns out to be the chefs kiss.

I have a similar salad we love. I use the nuts we have in the house, so if you don't have pecans but another nut it's fine. For the dressing I make an apple vinaigrette with apple cider vinegar and some apple juice, mixed with oil and some salt and pepper. It gives such a refreshing taste to the salad :)

Sorry to Thumbs Down, but I've just started watching your channel again the past couple weeks, after the trip to Bri's house, but man, the implications thrown around with words... even if my children aren't in the room, I'm just disappointed. :( Not saying this in a slanderous way, but it's just not appropriate for myself or for sure my children... and they could've learned a lot from you guys!
