Just stumbled on to a few of your yak mods today, very nice. And here I thought I had a nice crate. I put a Kydex keel guard on the bow and stern of my Crescent Crew 3 years ago in the same fashion you did yours. Honestly, don’t think I really needed a keel guard but us yakers love to screw around with our plastic boats. If nothing else my huge blaze orange, bow keel guard looks pretty snazzy on the huge bulbous nose of my Crew. It’s gotta scare the crap outta the reds. 5 years ago I purchased an “Egg sitter” gel cushion from Target. Was very comfy on my OK Prowler bush league seat. Continued to use it when I upgraded to the Crew but got tired of adjusting it. So, if anyone has a seat with straps under it and wants a cushy ride try this: get a cutting board and cut to fit the bottom of the seat. Doesn’t need to be exact. Cut slots in the board so the straps can weave in/out. Place your Egg Sitter between the board and seat bottom and pull straps tight. The Egg Sitter gel pad will never move and your butt will be happy.
My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
@@wendellfishing damn that would be a wicked video. I’ve been banking fishing for a while now, and I’m just getting my first kayak and the lights would be a dope accessory to have when early or late fishing.
I will do you one better. Here's the video on it and in the description you will find the links to everything you asked for. Let me know if you have any other questions. I would love to help: ruclips.net/video/HJmHhzBGbKk/видео.html
DO NOT RAISE YOUR SEAT UNLESS YOU HAVE THIS EXACT KAYAK! Your first and second mods are specific to your kayak! Keys should be stored in a dry bag or box... wet the key fob and your (newer) vehicle won't start. Tie your crate with paracord... bungees won't hold a loaded crate... I KNOW THIS 😢 YAKATTACK YES! RAILBLAZA NO! (The base WILL snap at the mount) 👍
I'm a bit confused...I know plenty of other kayakers who use seat risers... not just specific to this kayak. Also, Bungees will hold crate as shock cord comes factory stock from the manufacturer.
@@wendellfishing The problem is people with cheap little pelicans and sun dolphins are gonna try to make your mods on their kayak and wind up losing all their gear
✔✔✔✔ jus don't have the lights
Love it... yak on my friend!
Crate lights and bungee my favs. Might look into seat riser seems like a cool idea.
Right on!
I'm very grateful for your words of wisdom and actions.
Thanks!

Great ideas great review 👍🏼
Thanks Pitchka! Appreciate it!
Using PVC you can extend your deck rod holders upward and then use two pipes to make fish holders.
Thanks David!
What are "fish holders"? Photo?
Did you have to shorten your transducer cable or did you just wrap it around and around the mounting rod????
Shoved it all into the hatch
What’s up Big D. New sub here. Really digging your content man.
Thanks boss! Appreciate it. Reach out if I can ever help with anything!
Do you have a video of installing the green lights???
Sorry boss... I literally have a video of everything else except that.

@@saulrecendez2891 Good to know.. I think I will add it to my video que. Sounds like a winter project :)
Need the specs on the seat risers for the Native Yak as well as how much they cost and who can do it?
Right on Ken, There is a Facebook page called "3DYak". He will be able to answer all of your questions and print your riser.
Hello, who did your seat risers?
Hey Oscar.. head over to FB and look up "3DYak" and you will find him.
You have a link for the phone holder set up? (Mount, swivel and track)
