one thing i really liked about my recent rewatch of season 1 is that the autobots always have funny lil gadgets integrated in like their forearms for super specific situations. just very situational lil funny details that get brought up once and never again, i love it!

All the times you ask why they don’t just make more troops makes more sense when they introduce Vector Sigma… which then makes all the previous times make even LESS sense…

This was amazing. Its so wild to look back at this show as an adult and realise how few fucks the writers gave. It seems clear that, because the audience was kids and the objective was to sell toys, they had absoloutely no respect for narrative coherence or, ultimately, the viewers or even their own franchise. And, somehow, what comes out of that is timelessly, madly, wonderful. And, yes, unhinged shite.
