    Nice. I couldn't help but laugh at the license plate flapping. Good launch.

      @eldiablo7862 2 года назад +1

      That's not the license plate but the door frame it is attached to that covers the gas cap. A spring keeps it flipped up. The car was actually pulling a couple of G's to overcome the force of the spring and cause the door to open.

      That is also why my dad would bet people 100 dollar bill. He would put it on the dash and if you were in the passenger seat you could have it if you could grab it on take off. No one ever got that bill because of the G force.

    '68-'72 Olds have perhaps the most underappreciated of all the American V8s of their era, and for sure the best sounding.

      I always liked them. Had the taxi cab hot wheels as a kid. It was my favorite.

      I ran a 442 with my '69 Mustang Mach I, 351W, ages ago. All I saw was his tail lights. :)

      @@Britspence381 When I was 16 I had several thousand saved from my kid jobs. My dad was going to cover the rest of the cost in the price range I was looking for. I convinced my dad to take me to see a red Mustang fastback. The owner said it had the 351 Cleveland. I can't remember exactly, the Windsor is the 351 block and sometimes it might have a Cleveland head? Anyway When the guy saw me he refused to sell it to us! His son had just gotten a speeding ticket for 130 something mph and he was a few years older than me. He either lost his license or almost lost it and that was why his dad was selling it. It was beautiful. A stunning machine just sitting there. Not sure my dad would have allowed me to have it either, too dangerous.

      @@fifteenbyfive Yep, your Dad may have saved you some anguish. Not sure about the block difference but I know the 351's with the Cleveland heads were hotter than the Windsors. If you drove like I did when I was 16 you were probably better off. :)

    it has so much tork
    a passenger "doesn't affect" the power to weight ratio

      *torque
      Yes, any extra weight affects to power to weight ratio. Simple arithmetic.

    I miss my ‘69 442, it was a strong runner for a high school kid that could barely afford to but headers on it.
    I didn’t see a roll cage in the car in video. Tracks I’ve raced on would kick you off for ETs that exceeded your equipment.
