@@dawggonevidz9140 Good point.. No, not good. I have noticed many old instruments that people don't seem to be careful with. Thanks for the comment. Sometimes I miss what I'm looking right at. Dan
You play a $100 instrument if it does what you need it to do and you like it. That simple. Plenty of well known artists used to play inexpensive instruments (eg Hound Dog Taylor, etc). Jeff Healey, who was blind, famously used to play a cheap Fender Squier because he liked how it sounded. He could have played anything he liked. . .that's what he chose. As to comparisons between cheap and expensive instruments that depends HIGHLY on the instruments you're comparing. For sure a lot of the cheap stuff IS junk and effectively unplayable. But its not always the case any more, because modern CNC machining has made building necks and bodies to high tolerances really inexpensive. Its just mostly comes down to fretwork, setup and pickup quality. I've played individual sub $200 instruments that, on their own merits, were really good; certainly you'd never guess based on the sound or playability that they cost so little. I've also played individual >$1000 instruments that were just terrible out of the box with bad adjustment, poor fretwork, etc.
Five minutes after the interview, Chuck Norris broke out in a whirlwind of round house kicks and only one guitar was left on the ground..... a hello kitty strat 😂
This guy reminds me of when I was in high school. Had kids wearing "Volcom" or "Element" clothing, representing a skater or skateboard sponsor, but doesnt ACTUALLY skateboard. This IS Steven.
Most comments seem to have an issue with Steven or his playing. I personally appreciate his collection. And the fact he plays is just a plus. I'd buy them if I had the money. I cant play the blues half as good as him. Then everyone could hate on me too. Jealousy is an ugly trait.
Once I had some community service at a concert hall in Denmark and actually carried 13 of his guitars from the bus to the stage. His organ player was crazy hungover and the Danish roadie asked me to get him some happy smoke. Just listening to his rotary speaker 45 minutes later told me that it was mission completed.
He's also got an insane collection of amps to go with them, many of those same artist guitars has the matching amp. I know One of the Tweeds that Bonamassa uses was purchased from Seagal. Nice hobby to have.
@@UMAMIMAMU he has like four Dumbles. Kenny Wayne has like ten made specifically for him. That said, it is a fun hobby. My collection pales in comparison, but I’m a working class guy. I do have a vintage blackface Vibrolux and few custom shops from fender and Gibson.
Watched a video of him playing and aside from his beginner thumb picking technique, it sounded very suspicious (pick attack didn't match, absence of noise from other strings, out of synch etc.). Someone revealed that they actually saw him play live, noticed the same thing and discovered that another guy was playing behind the stage while Steve faked the whole thing.
Yeah i watched one performance on YT and it was petty suss, he may have been playing some rhythm but there was no solo action from him and i suspect he was turned down very low in the mix most of the time. His singing, while not outstanding, wasn't actually that bad though, even though i can't stand the tosser i will give him that. His picking was honestly the strangest thing ive ever seen, yes some legendary players have used their thumb, but not the way this Seagull does!

yep i have guitar that belongs to ET uncle who plays in a bar on nibiru
@@onthedry8386 Steve's got one of them too! He can do roundhouse kicks, backflips, arpeggio diatonic scales and autograph fan mail whilst instructing Steve Via on improving his sweep picking.
If i let things define me like Steven Segal i would have never known about that $1M Martin Guitar. That was the most insane Acoustic inlay work i've ever seen. I've been playing for over 40yrs. I had no idea this existed. Amazing.
thank you for editing so we didn't have to. you're a saint.
And for the next week Steven introduce collection of imaginary friends.
"I play all kinds of different music"...as long as its only 12 bar blues!!!
I think he meant his cd collection.
Steven Segal: “I just heard the greats blues riff ever played.”
Interviewer: “Really, who played it?”
Steven Segal: “I did.”
He and Gene Simmons must know the same hairdresser😂
Endless supply of black Shinola!
The 1 millionth Martin is what Liberace would have used if he'd been a guitarist.
LOL
"I was raised in the blues"......ha! You joke!
i also, have a nice guitar collection. When I buy my next guitar, I will then have a total of...... two.
Steven Seagal is the Leonardo Da Vinci of our time. He is an actor, a karate teacher, a virtuoso guitarist, a film director, a writer and a great friend of Putin. I don't know of any paintings painted by him yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has hundreds of paintings hidden somewhere. We are in the presence of one of the greatest geniuses of the 20th century.
Great collection,so many jealous haters, I had to sell my two precious guitars to buy another vehicle I can't imagine what it'd be like to buy any guitar you want and then to be able to buy a celebrity guitar that's awesome I'm happy for him, it's better than owning a collection stupid cars.I got my heart set on a new Gibson L4 CES but it's got a price tag of 5 grand and I can Finance it for 4 years, sad when a musician cannot afford the instruments that he loves to play that's life ,I better start learning how to act.
Hard to drive a guitar to work.
If any one really wanted a guitar and loves playing youd buy one for a few hundred dollars. Proffessional musician dont need to spend 5 grand on a guitar
There really is no beginning to this man's talent, absolutely extraordinary.
😂😂😂
Are u serious 😂

Thank you all for your comments. I'm sure all of the comments have some truth/are totally true, but as a minor collector of different "neat " items, I really enjoy other individuals collections.. I have heard one of Segal's CDs, and it was pretty good, not the total sound that I like, but good. You pros, and I do say that with respect, know better, and can gauge his true ability. Again, I get a kick out seeing the historical , neat, expensive, rare stuff. that many people would like to have. I was quite surprised they didn't show the Albert King guitars (Perhaps the video was made before he had them.)... I really like Albert King, Laurindo Almeida, Jesse Ed Davis, and so many others! Best regards, Dan...If any person has a Diaz Vibramaster that he/she would like to give away, please let me know!
do you get a kick out of seeing some of the most incredible musicians of our lifetimes, many of whom are now dead, having their prized guitars laid out on a damp, dirty lawn by a liar and an idiot?
@@dawggonevidz9140 Good point.. No, not good. I have noticed many old instruments that people don't seem to be careful with. Thanks for the comment. Sometimes I miss what I'm looking right at. Dan
Man what you heard on his album are the sessionmen trying to fill the void that comes out of seagal’s hands.
@@valebliz I'm starting to get the impression that he's some phony mofo. At least that seems to be the consensus. Best regards, Dan
Love them - always have. The funny thing though is that the original Blues players used cheapos such as stellas, maurier and kalamzoo.
"SWORDS, aren't his only obsession...."
No one else caught that?
Next episode: Stephen Seagal's collection of hair dyes.
Omfg 😂
South Park is spot-on this guy
Steven Segal showed up at the blues bar , Silver Dollar in Toronto Ontario Canada one night back in the 1990's , he was pretty good.
Good at eating everything at the Eat All You Can buffet?
Steven is his own biggest fan.
heard he can play 4 guitars at the same time ... he told me he can .. I believe him
Hahaha
his next gig, he'll play two double necked guitars simultaneously to show all the shreders a thing or two
A good guitarist makes an $100 guitar sound better than a $1M one being played by a mediocre guitarist.
He make it sound like a 50$ washboard
maybe, but if you are a good guitarist, why would you play a 100 dollar guitar? there is no comparison between high end and low end guitars, none.
Bryan Mannoia because it could be the only one available or a guitarist should say "I am too good to put my hands on that"?
Or a beat-up guitar! Did you ever hear Rory Gallagher? ;D*
If someone sold me a guitar owned by Steven Segal I'd want a discount
Even his guitar collection is one with the environment..I mean just look at how peaceful they all are sitting there!
Tonight I will sleep well, knowing some of the greatest guitars are in the hands of a LUNATIC!
1:13 Nice high dollar collection, where better to display than on the grass in his back yard.
Seagal: I got over 300 guitars cos’ i’m a serius guitar player, but I’m afraid to fight Van Damme ...
Jajaja
HAHHAHAHAAHAAAAAHAAAHA
You would think owning all those guitars previously owned by legendary players, he would be a outstanding player.
out standing in his lawn with them all laid out, yes
Clearly he was compensating for something.
There is nothing wrong in something loving guitars and the blues and collecting guitars.
Good to see he has the passion for music and guitars.
Ooodles of passion, total absence of talent and accurate knowledge.
Too bad the guitar and music hates his huge guts with passion too.
Five minutes after the interview, Chuck Norris broke out in a whirlwind of round house kicks and only one guitar was left on the ground..... a hello kitty strat 😂
Had no idea, awesome collection, also he plays very well.
This guy reminds me of when I was in high school.
Had kids wearing "Volcom" or "Element" clothing, representing a skater or skateboard sponsor, but doesnt ACTUALLY skateboard.
This IS Steven.
I'm surprised he hasn't got his own signature guitar... Although there's probably not a guitar maker capable of taking on such a task.
I'm a one man band on youtube. Hope you can enjoy one of my songs.
It would instantly turn that company bankrupt. Maybe Putin will get him a Russian one.
Most comments seem to have an issue with Steven or his playing. I personally appreciate his collection. And the fact he plays is just a plus. I'd buy them if I had the money. I cant play the blues half as good as him. Then everyone could hate on me too. Jealousy is an ugly trait.
about time they did a srv life story film with seagal playing stevie.
Seagal: "I built every single one of these guitars."
And grew all the trees
@@DanNic88 And pulled the trees down by hand, then hand carved them with a swiss army knife!
Hvor var det? Har han spillet i Danmark for nylig?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's also got an insane collection of amps to go with them, many of those same artist guitars has the matching amp. I know One of the Tweeds that Bonamassa uses was purchased from Seagal. Nice hobby to have.
Yeah, I read that article in Vintage Guitar too. According to Bonamassa, he's got a freaking Dumble as well.
@@UMAMIMAMU he has like four Dumbles. Kenny Wayne has like ten made specifically for him. That said, it is a fun hobby. My collection pales in comparison, but I’m a working class guy. I do have a vintage blackface Vibrolux and few custom shops from fender and Gibson.
is ur pfp randy rhoads
I wish I had one guitar that's owned by Stevie Ray Vaughan 💜
Q- How to bring down the value of a guitar legend's guitar?
A- Sell it to Steven Seagal.
🤣🤣🤣😭
Yeah i watched one performance on YT and it was petty suss, he may have been playing some rhythm but there was no solo action from him and i suspect he was turned down very low in the mix most of the time. His singing, while not outstanding, wasn't actually that bad though, even though i can't stand the tosser i will give him that. His picking was honestly the strangest thing ive ever seen, yes some legendary players have used their thumb, but not the way this Seagull does!
I think it's cool that he actually plays the guitars in his collection.
And … Jimi Hendrix’s Stratocaster … enter a photo of a Jazzmaster. Quality journalism.
Looks to me like Steven has eaten a few of his guitars through the years.
Times is tough!
"i eat only the fibers of the finest Stradivarius instruments while I'm in my inversion coffin." Steven Seagal 2020
That is an awesome collection!!🙂👍👍👍
not for fukn long if he lays it out in the grass like that. what a colossal dipshit.
"celebrity guitars have value higher that non celebrity guitars" - genius man
What a great statement right?😅
The Legend keeps on growing! I didn't know that he could play a guitar. Wow, he knows music, movies, martial arts, good food, different cultures, languages, wow, just wow!
No.

Amazing collection ! The guitar attributed to Jimi Hendrix was a Jaguar and not a Strat.
Jazzmaster, not Jaguar.
Thanks for the correction ! Cheers !
he said that dumbasses
@@gurzair998 yea but right before the narrator said it was one of Jimi’s Strat right before Seagul started talking about it.... don’t be a passive aggressive douche for no reason. If he’s wrong then you can correct him, I know you don’t call people “dumb asses” like that in person
He really needed to finish this piece by drop-kicking and smashing all of the instruments, finally standing atop a pile of broken axes, saying none of them were worthy of his hands.
On another note, survey says all of these precious instruments dropped in value significantly once his ownership had been tagged to their lineage.
