Just staked one of your castle nuts today. Stakes 3 times. Love FDC products.
BCM end plate is my favorite for this exact reason. I don't even use the sling QD. Well, I have used it in some situations but very, very rarely. I like it because they clearly made it to stake easily.
I just use an auto punch, can hold the lower with one hand and use the other for the tool. Can find them for about $10 at an auto parts store usually.
