Yes but only in very high heat and the stacked lithium do not. And if they leak its not dangerous for you or the battery, its just a kind of filler that melts and leak

@@dannycolemire2652 if you don't mind corded, the metabo hpt can usually be found for under $40 and can do most anything a cordless grinder can do💪💪💪

Don't buy any of the Flex cylindrical cell batteries. I had two more of them die on me this week.
