A fun coincidence my dudes! It's curious to think why Kalos is laid out like this... it's unusually exact! Pretending they had something planned with that, what lore do you think goes with it?
Just on the note of locations being shrunk down for gameplay, I feel like PLA's locales are supposed to be equal in size to 1-2 routes if they weren't scaled down. Going with the Plaza/City idea, points of interest are Santalune Forest, Chamber of Emptiness, Parfum Palace, Sea Spirirt's Den (offshore), Laverre Tree, Pokeball Factory, Lost Hotel, Frost Cavern, Victory Road, and the castle now housing the e4.
I still believe, that the game will include the areas outside of the cities walls, but count them under the cities jurisdiction. Basically like a city state. Very similar to Crossbell from Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure (which btw. also form ZA together). Then there will be underground areas to explore under the city. And maybe we will visit the 5 cities around Lumious.
PLA takes place mostly in the wilderness and most of the gameplay is based around exploring the wilderness. Hiding in tall grass, riding, flying, and sailing across vast areas. It's interesting how to think of how ZA will be since it takes places solely in an urban setting - a city.
Interestingly there's an ongoing project that aims at expanding Paris to include its suburbs areas called "le projet du grand Paris" "The great Paris project"
that's the neat part, they won't, I probably would be pirating it again if it turns out bad, don't wanna give GF/Nintendo any money if they keep rushing
I bet there’s going to be separate antagonist gangs/teams for each Plaza, who oppose the redevelopment as it would alter their operations. And that after you thwart them individually, they’ll band together for a Big Plan as a “rainbow mafia” of sorts. (Plazas are color names after all). But up until that point there’ll be funny/dangerous faction oppositions. Maybe even pick a team to support in certain battles?
I think that the 5 plazas will be the "arenas" of 5 elderly of and elite 4 + Pkmn Master that you'll have to battle in the history of the game. Just imagine descendants of Valerie for the northern plaza, the son or daughter of Ramos for the easter/north, the descendant of Grant (southern/East), the descendant of Viola (southern/West) and descendant of Olympia ir Wulfric (Northern/West). I could LOVE the idea of Bonnie becoming a sort of princess/Pkmn master of the Lumiose tower taking the place of his brother. XD
I want the box/pastures area to be like the cerise lab in Pokémon journeys, where you can see all the Pokémon you’ve caught in one big ecosystem, almost like the terrarium
This is a very cool it! I would like something like this for the game. I never realized how similar the layout for Lumiose was for the surrounding area. I really hope there do make some kind of connection with that.
@@diamondsamI don't think the guy is saying the blueprint is showing Lumiose as engulfing the 5 towns... I think the idea is that the blueprint IS Lumiose (with 5 normal plazas), but that it may expand out further, beyond the reaches of the blueprint, to engulf the 5 towns.
I feel like the Lumiose City “RE”-development plan says it all. It’s not the Lumiose City development plan or Lumiose town/village redeveloping into a city…..It’s already a city getting redeveloped
Holy moly a whole video to just my theory. Yeah it's like 99% just Lumiose to scale as a normal city where all the buildings and stuff are accurate to if it was real world but it is cool to think abt imo
I had an idea awhile go that the old lumiose was much larger in size and due to the war it was mostly destroyed and because of that they had a "redevelopment plan" to build the city
instead of the towns being already inside lumiose, i think we may be expanding the city so by mid to late game, we’d have the entire city expanded so that it encompasses the 5 surrounding towns
i mean he ain’t wrong though boys, he’s uploaded like 40 videos about Z-A since the trailer dropped in march man and i’m pretty sure he’s uploaded nearly everyday💀
Prism Tower is at the center and that gives a sense of scale because that’s already been built. I’m in the “set in the near future” camp - because it says redevelopment, not development, and the buildings in the trailer certainly look newer than the existing buildings in the original X and Y.
There's irony here about returning to Kalos. We've been wanting that since Galar Gen8. The minute we started truly thinking Unova or Johto to return to, TPC decided NOW to do the wildcard Kalos. Even if it's just the city, we return back to the region. Now all the Europe regions (as of now) can be on the switch.
Hear me out, it is a past game, the concept where the lumiose was all five towns combined could be plausible but some part of the story where these “Ancient Trees” Awaken sets back these efforts. Which explains why there are these cities with ruins. It could just be the aftermath in present day halting the redevelopment plan. Because they are messing with nature which might be the reasons for maybe why Zygarde might step in. Maybe they need Zygarde in order to power their project but failed in doing so because maybe the protagonist (us) would pull out the reverse uno card when we realize how it would affect the ecosystem.
Maybe in the past, "Lumiose City" actually was all of Kalos... Over time, it lost land to other cities until the time of X/Y, where it only takes up the center of the map...
Well the arrangements of the 5 Plazas, and the 5 cities both form a pentagon. And the same shape of the pentagon is used for the Kalos origin mark on any Pokémon caught in X and Y, so it’s definitely intentional. Not sure if there’s much beyond that, but keep cooking king! Love these theory videos.
The tree of life. The spire in the center is ygdrasill and the five plazas represent the different realms. Alfheim (this is where fairy types come into play) nifelheim etc. Sorry if my spelling is wrong. But I feel like the tree of life will come into play and the tree is beneath the spire. The circle the spire. It's all connected
I can already debunk this first theory. The top left city is right on the coast of the map, so there's no physical way that they could fit anything else around it.
If this game would take place in the future, then it would seem to be taking the scaling from the handhelds routes while referencing Gen 5. ie. Lumiose being re-developed into something like Castelia City in Unova. (an expansive city/town area with its own "routes/areas")
I think it's possible that it is inspired by the redevelopment of france but it takes place in the present/future. lumiose does need to be huge so it makes sense
It's a neat thought, but I feel the Lumiose Tower kinda sinks the idea. It's clearly visible from above. I wouldn't say no to this idea. I just doubt that's what the developers were going for. Besides, the Tower of Mastery wouldn't be included in this expanded Lumiose, and the teaser heavily implied the return of Mega Evolution.
The northwest side of this region-sized Lumiose overlaps with the water. What architect in their right mind would go out of their way to build a city foundation in the frickin' ocean just to maintain that perfect circle shape?
@Markcrazeer Venice and Netherlands aside, none of those places are even remotely close to the vast scale that this hypothetical Lumiose is supposedly being expanded into.
@@stevenpip7339 no, but they dont need to be, the problem here isnt a country sized mega city. thats just like any other city, just bigger, the problem is part of it is on water, and so is venice. and the netherlands is under.
@@stevenpip7339 "venice and netherlands aside" Yeah, it doesn't work like that. If you have to discount examples to make your point, then your point is probably incorrect.
That map is the redevelopment plan, meaning it is under construction. I have a hard time believe that the whole map is just one city, the boundaries for lumiose are either much larger than it should be hence the redevelopment plan or they simply want to create a capital city by investing a lot into it making it a tourist spot. If they add ca 250 pkmn like PLA did, i cant see how they can reasonably fit in that many pokemon.
If such were the case, then we would think about how Lutetia Parisiorum [=Bright Area of the Parisians], which was the largest Roman settlement of Gallia throughout the centuries came to "engulf" all the exterior communes and areas and convert them to its arrondissements [=appartments, administrative areas] and expand into its contemporary metropolitan area as L'Île de France [=The Island of France] as Paris has come to be known today. Mind you that the "Island of France" is the most populous area of the entire French mainland, housing around 15 million citizens.
So I think it’s the past and the future I think we’re going to get past Megas and future Megas, and of course, present Mega, I believe what we’re going to get a lot of new forms and other things, I think the future mega are going to be artificial Mega
Eh it's just a coincidence. The maps of Kalos and IRL France are both star-shaped so it would've been convenient for GF to repeat that pentagonal motif
I thought if a theory while watching this. What if “lumious” was like the modern day city of Rome. Rome is just a city in Italy, but it used to be larger. What if the kalos area used to be known as lumious
Yes but look at the size of the Lumiose Tower. Or this could be a Castle instead of the "future" Lumiose Tower. I'm doubting at this theory of Lumiose City being Kalos itself... But they could do a castle in the center being the "start" of Lumiose city. "This" could work for me...
lol future-believers coping hard if we're to think that the PLZA map extends to the entire region, that would make Prism Tower the size of a whole city... and individual buildings the size of entire routes. not to mention that Pokemon battle area we see to the lower left of the map would span Route 4, Santalune City, and Route 22 lol
The buildings on the sketch of the old lumiose city would be massive if this theory was anywhere near possible, with the tower in the center itself being as big as the modern day city. That aint it pal
Couldn't Z-A be in the aftermath of the Great War? Hence the need for "redevelopment" That's that I though was the most obvious conclusion when I first saw the teaser, but not a lot of people are talking about it. Unless I'm missing something.
It HAS to be in the Past. Same time Period as the Paris Urban Redevelopment Plan. The Legend was already told by the Present & Future; but, gets WRITTEN in the past. Firmly in the past.
the only basis for it is "one part of the trailer looks like a hologram" and people are reassuring themselves so hard because we have nothing else to go off of, when more trailers come out were going to see there's no future portion or maybe at most there will be a tiny insignificant prologue, were not jumping between the future and past constantly throughout the game.
Where would the players catch pokemon if the whole city is the actual playground theres no other areas for pokemon to be caught if its a legends game catching would be key the hub wil be the city and we will be braving wilds is what im thinking
