It should be Martin Campbell. GoldenEye and Casino Royale speak for themselves
I’d love a Chris Nolan period piece back in the Cold War with Henry Cavill or Aaron Taylor Johnson as 007.
Damien is such an insane director, this is a good time to for him to branch out into IP movies so he can build his cred with general audiences. Imagine the score of this Bond movie.. absolutely electric
I could get on board with Damien Chazelle as director. I feel like he could give us something similar to Le SamouraÏ (1967), especially if it’s a period piece.
Martin Campbell i think should return, he launched both Pierce brosnan and Daniel Craig as bond.
Chazelle bros rise up ❤❤❤
If Damien Chazelle gets to make it Justin Hurwitz Bond score would be amazing, I would also love Aaron Taylor Johnson as his Bond
Aaron Pierre as Bond
either him or Rege-Jean Page. but you know they would never.
I loved Babylon, those first 30 minutes is the best half hour in cinema. I like the idea of Damien, but I worry about "auteur" directors because we had it throughout the Craig era and as much as I love Nolan, I (and many Bond fans) want fun again with 007 which is why I'd prefer a Edgar Wright or David Leitch or even Spielberg
Chazelle is a good choice but I really want Nolan to direct a bond movie
I’d also like that, but Nolan already kinda did his “Bond” movie. Just look at “Tenet”.
JACK O'CONNELL should be the next Bond! 💯
i guess i’m the only one that liked Babylon LMFAO
Babylon is peak cinema
I liked it too. Campea just saw that it flopped so got on the bandwagon.
Oh, you’re far from the only person who liked Babylon. It has its diehard defenders, especially on Film Twitter.
Shit movie but you're not. That movie is coded for Letterbox users.
Sign Nolan to direct a trilogy of 1960s-set Bond films. Give him creative control. Once those are done they have the option to continue what Nolan did or start over. If the latter, they’d be in the same spot they are now but would probably have a few extra billion dollars in their pocket.
I think we need more time off before there is another Bond.
But this would be an interesting choice for director.
More time off? They have 5 years off since they finished No Time To Die!
Christopher Nolan as Director and Robert Pattinson as Bond
They’re not going to cast a well known actor to play James Bond.
Didn’t they kind of do that combo already with Nolan’s Flop Tennet? Would love Nolan on Bond with a different actor though
@@cbolt121 it was release in the midst of covid lockdowns and simultaneously released on streaming and still managed to make $365 mill. I wouldn't call it a flop
@@MRLONG758I’ll give you Covid did effect it and maybe world wide the final was 365 mil but it barely made 50 million in the US I think and I thought it was a dud. I have nothing against Pattinson. I thought his Batman was good, I just think we can do better than him for bond. Personal preference
Christopher Nolan is far too famous of a director and demands far too much creative liberty
James bond may have a new director in whiplash/lala land .. wtf does that mean lol
Only reason I’d love this is I know the Bond song would be absolutely fire
Very few villains were Russian in the old James Bond movies.
This would be a bit of an odd choice, I loved what Damien Chazelle did with Whiplash but judging by his most poplar films (Whiplash, La La Land) he seems to be more of a musical kind of guy, I don’t know how a director like him would do if he were to try his hand at an action movie, not saying it’s an impossibility but it seems kinda odd considering his other work
The real question is can the director work with Barbara Brocolli
Henry Cavill is James Bond. And Martin Campbell should be the director.
“in blind world”
😂😂
With Christopher Nolan it will be the first $2 billion movie
Facts
In your dreams.
Mention Babylon too
After his last movie was a debacle, it would be smart for him to do a big hairy franchise film and bring it in under budget.
Cavill man he literally is James Bond.
If this is the choice I bet the next Bond would be set during the Cold War.
Dan Stevens as Bond directed by Martin Campbell
James Bond The Musical
Screw it, I'd watch it.
No Aaron Taylor Johnson? 😳
If this is true….that is a great pick. He can direct with the best of them.
Funny because when i saw the word Helm i thought of Matt Helm.
Babylon Hive is still here and we are strong. Come join us!
Holy shit. HOLY SHIT. YES!!!!!
Damien Chazelle is an inspired choice! They won’t pick a Canadian but I would love to see Gosling Bond.
How you can pass on Christopher Nolan? He's the best director out there, just won Academy Awards for Oppenheimer and WANTS to direct a Bond film. If he wants total control let him have it. I think he could take the franchise in a fresh direction
You don't give total control to someone who isn't ready to commit to staying for multiple films. I guarantee you if he says he'll commit for 3-4 films they'd totally let him do it. Just doing 1 film means their hands will be tied after he leaves.
Christopher Nolan wouldn’t be interested in staying in a franchise that long, he’d more than likely wanna walk away after his 1st movie
Commom Broccoli family, let Nolan have full control
Just to direct, please no Nolan writing script
Im not big on this, i like 3/4 of his small projects, but i know Damien Chazelle wants to get his footing back after the Babylon bomb.
At the heart of a Bond movie is heart stopping action, a debonair Bond with effortlessly cool dialogue and high stakes drama.
My choice will always be Christopher Nolan but he would want total control of the project which they won't give.
My next choice would be Guy Ritchie. He has razor sharp dialogue, does great action set pieces and is a great director.
My choice for James Bond would be either Henry Golding or Jack O'Connell . Golding would take Bond franchise in a fresh new direction while also maintaining all the charm of Bond. He has worked with Ritchie twice before on The Gentleman and The Ministry of ungentlemanly warfare. He is a heartthrob from Crazy rich Asians and he has an effortless coolness and charm to him. He has also done action movies so would be well suited. What might hold him back from getting the role is his relative inexperience in Hollywood having only really started his career in 2018. He also hasn't done many meaty roles that require a high level of acting ability. Golding would be more of a throw back to a Pierce Brosnan style James Bond.
Jack O'Connell on the other hand, has cut his teeth in serious roles and tv shows since 2009 and has done work that has really tested him as an actor such as Starred up, 71, Money Monster and Unbroken. He hasn't had the chance to show off his charm like Golding but he has the grit and acting ability of Daniel Craig, he does have a cheeky charm to him and his raw unfiltered aggression leaps of the screen. With a young Bond, he should be a diamond in the rough rather than the finished product. He shouldn't be refined right off the bat, that makes Jack O'Connell the perfect Bond. Add in Guy Ritchie's lightning quick dialogue and you have a recipe for a captivating Bond.
I’ve never understood fantasy casting when it comes to James Bond; every actor who has played the role so far were relatively unknowns when they first played the role.
Thank you, finally someone said it. Makes no sense, at the end they will pick a unknown name.
Yeah the next Bond is likely a support character on tv show or someone who has been supporting in movies and maybe has some smaller films as lead
Will Poulter as new bond please! Just makes so much sense.
Haven't ever seen his name as a candidate.
But I'm in.
His glow up works for me.
I've never been a fan of James Bond flims. The only actor i want to play the character is Benedict Cumberbatch. If he ever plays James Bond, I will give it a chance.
Aaron Pierre could be a good choice with less haters as diversity hire
Cool
musical james bond??🤣🤣
Gosling would be good for Felix Leiter actually. And Idris Elba for M, please.
Not a Bad choice. Damien Chazelle never made a bad movie.
No... fuck Damien "it's important to be famous" Chazelle.
Who cares. We have 26 of them.
