I have high respect for a company who teaches people the art of the trade without shoving their product into my face constantly. Really well done and it deserves a lot more views!
Fantastic articulation of the thought behind each technique and very well communicated as well. Great job, keep the series going. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you for YOUR everything Concepts! Concepts brings me a lot of JOY. I'm brand new in design, I still have a lot to learn, and Concepts gave me all the good things to start in one place. THANK YOU. :)
Honestly I think tracing can be helpful. For one thing, tracing enough objects will kind of get relative overall shapes and proportions into your brain. I'm talking purely as a learning tool not creating your own art. You can then also trace shapes out, and use it for that. You could start tracing cartoon characters, which essentially removes complexity. You can start tracing cartoon characters, then move on to copying them. Trace real-life objects and animals/humans/etc and then identify the shapes and draw them, and the finally copy. Don't thing tracing is quite as useless as you seem to think.
I've been self learning through Adobe creative cloud, and I have a surface pro. I've been looking for videos drawing with ipad pen, and digital platforms. I found myself in a rabbit hole wanting to learn to draw lately. I've watched part one and finishing this video. I really enjoy how you'e explaining things, and it's pretty captivating. I love the look and feel of the video. Some other tutorials out there have an unprofessional feel to them. I've subscribed!
I used to draw the ships from scifi shows and movies. it was quite fun, i still keep some of my old sketches. now ı want to start a project and ı need to work on my drawing skills.
Amazing video! I am continually trying to improve my drawings on a daily basis but I know that it will take a while to regain my skills after a long time of not drawing. keep the vids coming! Blessings.

i saw this way of thinking somewhere before, in the video i saw earlier, the person said to break everything down into simple shapes and adding curves to the shape, very similar way of thinking
Thanks for the very nice series. Well presented. Sound tips, plus shows off Concepts to good effect. (Off-topic, I know, but what cutting mat are you using in the background? The shade of gray and the grid/circle/angle markings are just what I've been looking for...and haven't yet found.)
I want to learn how to draw so bad but it seems really impossible, I wonder if a tablet would help me (since you can add the reference image directly to the tablet).
if you would add 1- features to draw Isometric drawings. 2- add Red Line Mark-Ups on isometric drawings. 3- future additional packages to be advised (inshaAllah). potential use for Oil & Gas Engineers, Designers and much more.
I want to use this on a Samsung galaxy s6 lite for drawing Laboraroty Equipment when I am learning their function. Does anyone know, how it is on Android?
When I tried to download it on my android device, it is showing that 'this app is not compatible with your device' 😕..at the same time, most of other mainstream drawing apps are running without any problem.🤷♂️
There are some pen tablets that you can buy with few hundred dollars , these require a computer or a laptop to plug in , tablets generally expensive so I bought a pen tablet and used my 3 year old laptop on it , it really helped me , the pen tablet I bought was xp-pen deco pro
Pen tablets. I use HUION H430p, compatible with computer and phone (Its sister, H420 is cheaper but not compatible with phone) Bought it for only Rp. 500.000,- about $35 dollar💪💪 Best for beginners like me. For the software, you could use free software like medibang (pc and phone) and iBis paint (phone).
Yes it is, iPad Pro. There's plenty of options for digital creatives nowadays at different price points. Samsung also offers excellent tablets if you prefer Android. All these new generation tablets are great for creative purposes and it's only a matter of choosing whatever platform you enjoy using better. Also consider which pen technology offers you a more natural feeling when drawing; that's usually the right one. This last choice is essential since drawing experience and feeling are going to differ from one person to another.
Concepts for Android is a work in progress. Our goal is to bring all the same features as on our iOS version. We aim to update regularly with each update bringing new features to the platform. Our next major release will be adding PDF Export / Import.
How can you fill the color into the space you want? I found that hard to fill color perfectly into the shape you drew. Like you can't fill the space as Photoshop does. it seems less precision for color filling. Any suggestions or demo?
Hi, bucket fill is on our list. On the meantime, you can either duplicate your outline and change its tool to _fill_ , or you can just use the fill tool to follow the outline and use _nudge_ to correct any gaps.
what app are you using in the video to draw?
The app is called Concepts concepts.app/en/
@@ConceptsApp is it better than Procreate or Autodesk sketchbook?
@@dnghn.design It's for different purposes.
Ive just realized his channel name is concepts app

Thank you for listing the tools and settings used in this tutorial on your web page - It was super helpful for demo'ing the options in the app.

The amazing thing about Concepts is that you have infinity screen or place to draw on. I was suprised because I dont saw this in other apps.
