However, the smaller file size of Concepts sounds like a great benefit! ( FYI, It’s interesting that the Essentials pack is only $10 where you are - it’s $28 here in Canada.)
Hello Teoh. I love your videos and I love Concepts as you. Thank you for spreading the word about it. Actually there is a fill tool and a workaround to fill your shapes. Let's say you draw a circle with the cable tool. Then select the circle with select tool and then choose the fill tool and your shape will be filled out with the color that is selected. Hope it works for you. There is not a lot of info about this workaround.
I've thought of that before. But limitations included having to always draw enclosed shapes, and you have to duplicate another set of lines just for the fill colours.
For architecture, concept is better in that the auto measurement and snap to grid are great. But for creative art, procreate is far better, there is just no comparison. Procreate can also be used in place of photoshop which I personally did a lot.
I LOVE concepts!!!! I combine concepts with fresco so I can use the love watwr color in fresco but concepts is the best! 😍 I do have the same dislikes for the app such as no bucket/fill tool, bo blending modes amd so on.
I really like Concepts, but there are major omissions between the Windows/Android and IOS versions. The Win/Android version does not allow you to create palettes or custom colors. A workaround is to import a color wheel or palette into the drawing from which you can choose a color. For my urban sketches, I just import a JPG picture from my phone of the scene I'm drawing and I can select a color from it. Still, it would be nice if the developers would bring the two versions on par with each other.
I love my Tab s7+ and my Tab S8 Ultra, but I have to be completley honest. Apple Penci (2) is so incredibly superior to S Pen in everyway. After using Apple Pencil with my iPad Mini 6, I hate drawing with the S Pen. I hate the squishy rubber tip because it trails and rolls around. Although I did find a nice hard white tip for the S Pen which feels so much better. It also feels too light and cheap and its hard to control because its so light. Apple Pencil is a great thickness and weight. The only Big negative about Apple Pencil is that it has to be charged to be used. I dont even use the bluetooth features on my S pen so i feel like the apple pencil really doesnt need Bluetooth when it doesnt even have wireless features like the S Pen. But the Apple Pencil has perfect pressure senses and draws directly on contact, you dont need to put pressure for it to recognize, unlike the S Pen. Oh, and Procreate is the best Pixel Drawing app out of any operating system, i like it better than Photoshop, and Adobe Fresco has both regular pixels AND vector too, and not available on Android. So as far as art goes, iPad with 2nd Gen Apple Pencil wins by a long shot.
Surface Pro 8/9 really is a fantastic device, but iPad 10 and Air 4 give artists much more affordable options for making just as good artwork. i7 Surface Pro is almost $2,000 where i could get the M1 iPad Air for $499 or 1/4 the price. I want a portable one but good in things that I love to do :")
2-in-1 laptops usually don't have good drawing performance. Personally I don't like how the keyboard folds to the back. As for choosing laptop, go with 100% sRGB screen, then consider the ports and weight. I've only tested Vivobook Pro but not Vivobook and HP Envy so I can't say much.

I have had no personal experience with the other laptop mentioned. I hope this helps.
Concepts has both a subscription based and one-time fee purchase option. You can buy everything for a one-time fee but not in one bundle. For one-time purchases you can unlock most things for $15. And then you can purchase each special brush for $2 each. As of now, this comes to about $40 for everything. Your purchases are platform specific, so if you purchase on Windows it just applies to your Windows version. Same thing with iOS and Android. With subscriptions, everything gets unlocked upfront and accessible to you cross-platform - Windows, Android, and iOS. You can pay $5 month-to-month or $30 for the year.
Hi Teoh. I was thinking of upgrading my android tablet to a huion 24 display. But i like concepts app. Do you think i can use concepts app without the touch gestures? Is keyboard shortcuts can handle all?
Concepts is not very usable without finger gestures. E.g. To move you have to choose move tool, then draw tool to draw, then move tool again. There are also no shortcuts for zoom in and out. There are some keyboard shortcuts. But just go download the app and try to draw with your mouse to get a feel of what you can and cannot do without finger gestures.
you can't compare them both... is like comparing Illustrator against photoshop doesn't make sense... if you want to compare properly compare Affinity design against Concepts which both happen to be vector based so is a fair comparison.
It's a fair comparison because both are drawing apps. Illustrator can't be compared to Concepts even though both are vector apps because Illustrator is nor a drawing app, and neither is Affinity Designer.
@@teohontech7141 Illustrator on the iPad has the ability to draw and as a matter of fact the first iteration of illustrator on the iPad was called "illustrator DRAW"... and Affinity Designer has a vector section with a "vector brush tool" and has a second persona called Pixel so that you can draw within the vector space with pixel brushes.. so yes they both are drawing and vector programs.. I think you need to look into the iPad eco system more before making uninformed videos.
@@jcsfx710 I know Illustrator very well, both the desktop version and Illustrator Draw which was recently discontinued because it's so lousy. Yes, Illustrator Draw can draw but is not an app I can recommend to anyone for drawing. When I talk about drawing apps, those apps should at least have a decent selection of brushes. I don't use Affinity Designer and just discovered it actually has a huge selection of brushes. So thank you, I really need to use that more.
Procreate is my second favorite art app of all time but I had to give up on my iPad because that company is products are endlessly annoying and they make even the simplest task daunting and frustrating and confusing. It shouldn't be so hard to just move files from the tablet to the PC or from the PC back to the tablet. I shouldn't be forced to use your shitty program as a go-between. I should be able to use a file from an art app that I'm using on one device on a different device. I'm so fucking tired of Apple. Once I buy your shit leave me alone and let me use it the way I want because it's mine now it's no longer yours. I finally broke down and got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra,, and even though clip studio is my favorite art app I paid for the full version one time purchase on PC, I'll be damned if I'm going to pay that company monthly just to use it on Android. So in the end the decision of which app to use is going to get easier and easier by what apps let me actually buy them and use them or what apps want me to pay the monthly which I will never do as long as I live. So far this Concepts app is pretty cool super smooth and the interface is one of the nicest I've ever seen. It's time to stop being lazy and just learn how to use another app. Anyway man thanks for these in-depth videos it really helped me a lot.

Concepts seems super laggy. I couldn't use an app that laggy IMHO
Would you recomend lenovo p11 pro with precision pen as a working instrument for artist?
I've a review here www.parkablogs.com/content/artist-review-lenovo-p11-pro-precision-pen-2
Ngl I'm not a fan of the interface.
@@teohontech7141 ok thanks for the reply
Could you tell me what's the model of the windows tablet?
Surface Pro 8
@@teohontech7141 thx for replying
To be honest, no offense but with your art style, you could literally draw in MS paint and your work would still look like your work (in a good way).
Zamzam water from mecca saudi arabia is so amazing tasty
This is so close to helpful, but when you’re mixing up the names it makes it hard to trust which information is correct for which app.
you can't compare them both... is like comparing Illustrator against photoshop doesn't make sense... if you want to compare properly compare Affinity design against Concepts which both happen to be vector based so is a fair comparison.
