This is one of the best tutorials I have come across for this app. The other are too fast and hard to follow unless you have repeatedly move the video time bar. With yours I don’t have too. Great job. I’ll be looking for more of your tutorial +++
The more I get to know Concepts the more I love it. If you can, do more tutorials on it (I'll search if you already have). And yes, you do have videos on Concepts..
Hello! Architect from Kerala, India here. I’m planning on switching to Concepts after working on Morpholio Trace for almost 3 years. The only reason I ended my Trace subscription is because of the low resolution import & export (there is a full resolution option but it’s too cumbersome in my opinion). Tried Procreate for a while in between, but it didn’t have the easy copy & paste options like Trace and Concepts have. Even the selection & multiplication options I felt were limited from an architect’s quick-work point of view. So thanks for the very helpful video, and hope you share more soon. Thanks & cheers!
Thank you Teoh! I discovered Concepts App through your classes on Skillshare. Procreate has been my go-to for digital illustration, but the ability to illustrate with vectors in a simplified manner and on such a visually pleasing interface makes Concepts such an attractive option. I am still finding my way around this app and very much appreciate your great tutorials. Many of the questions I have as I explore Concepts tend to be crossover questions about where to find functions and how to achieve results that I can get in Procreate. I hope you'll make more tutorials for this app since this one is excellent and answered many of the questions I had.
Excellent video! You are a great teacher! I have had this app for years and I just could not learn how to use it, so I gave up. Now I am trying again. Thank you so much 🙂👍
I was about to give up on this incredible app, but your video made me a user for life. Such a practical app!! Thank you so much for this video. It’s a shame they don’t have this kind of information on their official channels, but I’m glad it links to you!
This video was so informative. I really wanted to use concepts. Since I found out they shut down mischief which was a art program that used a infinite canvas as well. This video has made me buy the subscription.
Unfortunately, the vector data is not saved properly. As in the saved vector art does not look 100% like the vector art within Concepts. What I usually do is save a screenshot instead.
Ten or fifteen years ago we would've paid _hundreds_ of $$ for a desktop app approaching this power, and hundreds more for a clunky Wacom tablet - and nothing would've worked as seamlessly or conveniently as this. Just pay for the fantastic Pro upgrade, and support a great company; it's _so_ worth the ~ $10 (or whatever it is in your country).
@@pbasswil absolutely agree, I was just pointing something out, as, despite the one payment only is really cheap (less than 20€) some people are not willing to purchase it, but vídeos like this will be a good incentive to go for the paid version.
@@pbasswil Anyway there is no need to say “just pay... blah blah blah” in that rude tone. You are not to decide what app I pay for or what app I use in demo mode.
@@FranCarreira I think his point is to support the app if you like it. Too many cheap people are always begging for others to give away their hard work for free. People deserve to be paid for their work and if they aren't, they will stop working. If you like the app, you should help to support their work and pay. That's all.
Hello Teoh, I am a begginer in watercolor, I’d like to get a student grade set but I’d like your recommendation between a Schmincke akademie with 12 (tin packaging) and Van Gogh with 12+3 (plastic packaging). These are the sets available on my area. Thank you!
1:51 4th tip is using Color Palettes - in my color circle I see no star icon (unlike as shown at 1:59) to open the Color Menu. I don't even have an empty palette at all. I am on Android.
@@teohyc Yeah, I've just arrived to the same conclusion. I purchased the essential pack first then I subscribed, but these features are not available. I love the application anyway, and your videos are awesome.
Hi, I recently tried the app, and have a question. I draw my sketch first, then I do my lineart, why is when I erase my lineart, the layer below (sketch) is also erased? I really like the app but confused by this...
Probably because the line and colours are on the same layer. This can happen when the layers are not created automatically for each material. E.g. When you manually create layers, selecting a tool won't create layers automatically for that tool. Anyway, to try. Just keep your line art on its own layer, and colours on its own layer. Then erase again to test.
Hi Teoh. Thanks for the tips! Just one question; what is the best file format if I wanted to export the Concepts file to Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer? Thanks!
Is this a good android alternative to procreate? I loved it when I had my iPad but I've switched over to the android ecosystem and have been looking for a good app for art and sketching
iPad and Android have different feature sets currently. To move selected objects to another layer, just lasso select the items, then drag them onto a layer.

There is many steps to simply copy and paste an image to another layer. I'm not sure how to ask to do this correctly. I just need to overlay the part of a layer to another layer. Why is that so hard
If you want to duplicate directly on top, do this... 1. Create a new empty layer above 2. Select and duplicate selected object(s) 3. While the duplicated object is still selected... 4. Drag the duplicated object to the empty layer above
