I love these trousers too. Regarding the belt - I rubbed some seam sealant into the belt fabric where it folds through the clip, gives it a bit more grip

That's a great tip. I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Great review. I use softshell myself, but a little cheaper ones. Trespass or regatta . Find them comfortable relatively good at weather resistance. But at £60 you could get a secondhand pair of paramo cascada from paramos own replacement scheme. They repair secondhand gear and sell it on. I have bought a jacket for walking and cycling, like new.

Sounds like a good scheme. I don't need any new trousers or anymore gear in general now! Time to focus on using it all!

    Great review.
Funny enough I love my Fjalkraven but the one thing I don’t like is the belt loops. Unlike your built in one the loops are small and I have to take the buckle off the belt, thread it through and then reattach the buckle 😏

I keep meaning to change it, every time I wear them I think I really must change the belt, but then I never do!

Ya know... I've never realized that opening the zippered pockets on hiking pants ventilates them as well.

It's definitely a pro tip, as long you haven't got loads of cash stuffed into the pockets you want to open as vents.

I have 3 pairs - on average I pay about £70 for them. One pair I somehow got candle wax on and can't seem to get off, other than that I love them. Good review. Totally agree about the belt. atb Al

Candle wax is a pain to get out of clothes. Yeah, the belt is rubbish but the trousers are feeling indestructible at the moment.

Try freezing them, it's seems to work to get chewing gum off clothes.

Not here in South Wales. Just mild and lots of rain this winter!

Ha ha. I showed a glimpse at the beginning! It's more about how they perform / wear really. With most trousers you're always best off seeing them and trying them for fit. I just wanted to get across how robust and hard wearing these are.
