I bought a pair of these and I'm really happy with them i find they dry very quickly and are very practical. I wear them a lot in the Lakes, Peak district and Wales. They are definitely worth the money and like Abbie said if you shop around you will get them cheaper..

I picked up a pair of these years ago in a sale not knowing anything about them, they are the only trousers I take when walking don’t know about 5 weeks but certainly done a week of hard walking no problem. I am always looking to see if I can get another in a sale these days. Great review, your enthusiasm for them is evident.

I've got a pair of breeks from Decathlon that has the reinforced bits and very stretchy, they are lightweight and quick drying and if I remember correctly they cost about £28 at the time. Had them for a few years now.

Did the C2C in mine - 19 days continuous use and not a mark on them. Great trousers...and a great review.

I have a pair of these in the same colour, and they really are hardwaring like you say, recently In the peak District I sat on a thin wooden bridge over a river and caught them on broken chicken wire and they didn't even notice 😂 great gear.

Big fan of montane but Keela Scuffers for me. Also bought a cheap pair of craghoppers from Cotswold when I forgot my other trousers on holiday, pretty good considering the modest price tag.

I keep getting gifted inferior walking trousers at Christmas, so still haven't managed to get a pair of these classics yet! A great buy at ~£40 - I love a bargain too!
I still mourn my Mountain Hardwear Convertible Pack Pants tho (hat tip to Chris Townsend). And I do like Paramo Cascada, but not the price.
I'm a proponent of highly breathable, non waterproof gear - the fabrics are so good now that I don't get sweaty and they feel warm even when saturated and even the double lined Paramo stuff dries in an hour of wear, for me.

I have just ordered a pair of these for all-round use including cycle trekking. I think the articulated knees will be good for that,

Great review Abbie, I have a couple of pair of Terras, love the fit and the function. I especially love being able to open the leg seams to get some ventilation when walking uphill. I've heard however that the current sizes are coming up smaller than in previous years, so might need to go and try some on before making my next purchase (rather than buying online).

just bought some for a cycle camping trip, from the English midlands to Rome....hope they do ok in the Alps, they are much lighter than my Marmot Highland trousers which I love. Perhaps one thing to add is that they come in short leg too, so can fit the full spectrum of people not just the Bell curve.

Good review ! i recently started to hike in Knickerbocksers and long socks. I find it more comfortable then trekking pants. Easy to adapt to all weather types, and better/easyer venting then any pants + great for river crossings too :).

Just bought a pair of these in the convert form ( zip off legs so they become shorts ) as my first pair of real walking pants... yet to use them but they feel great. And Abbies right... they are 85pound but dont pay that for them.. shop around first!!👍👍

Terra pants seem to be very popular, but for me it's ME Ibex

Greetings from Colorado. Most Yanks don't know the brand is available here in the US and are missing out on some excellent gear. Same goes for Rab. I have a Montane Prism jacket and Lightspeed wind shell which I use regularly. Haven't tried the trousers, oops, sorry, pants.

I'm a big fan of the Mountain Equipment Ibex - I used to wear Terras but found the lack of stretch too frustrating.

Nice pants Abbie. I have a pair of Ex Officios that I wear on and off trail. Very light and breathable but not as robust as your Montane trousers.
What kind of boots have you got there?

my only trouble with those ` pants ` is , because of the side pockets ,it looks like you have your `pants` on backwards lol , other than that they seem to be the ones to get =-)

They look and sound great Abbie, do you know if they make them bigger enough for someone with a belly shelve 🤔🤪🤣

Bought a pair based on Abbie's video, but am not happy with them. Cons: I overheat in them, no decent pockets (my phone jabs me simultaneously in the thigh and groin with each uphill step, and where do I put my map or trail guide?), expensive, too tight in the crotch and around the waist (and I bought a size larger than usual), and slow to dry (waist area). Pro: thigh vents (but absolutely needed as I overheat in these, so not sure if that is a pro).

Hi ye Abbie, love the enthusiasm, do you stick to trails when you wear these? I am unsure how durable they are because a lot of people don't really run trousers into the ground like I do and most just want a pair for hiking etc and don't really test them. Have you been through bryers etc? Any feedback would be appreciated!

'So I'm gonna go with pants'... proceeds to call them trousers all way through lol. I'm English and I go with 'trousers' if they have like a pleat, or turn up hems etc. Otherwise, I call them pants as well.

What size are you wearing, would you advise a “small regular leg” for a W28/L30

{What's your favourite trousers? } Blimey Abbie, you really are going yankee. In Blighty one says "what are" for plural. Lol
Nice trews by the way but a little too 'outdoorsy uniform' for me as least 50% of bushcrafters & hikers seem to be wearing these types of trousers. Bear Grylls has a lot to answer for.
