I agree 100% with the call to love (agape) one another -- as Christ loved us (Jn 13:34-35). But we have to be careful when we begin talking about "truth telling" that our political, or personal view of history doesn't skew how you "speak truth". John 13 is about individual Christ followers treating and speaking to one another in a manner consistent with Christ's love for us... that works, but when you inject some personal view of society/history---like, "America is systematically racist" -- then you twist Christ's command to individual disciples into some kind of social justice/political mantra that can't work, because: a) people who do not follw Christ, who are not born from above/indwelt with the the Spirit, do not even understand christ's love. and b) it relies too much on stereotyping people/groups, like police, whites, etc. assuming they "all" think/view others a certain way. You mentioned Dr. King. Let's just get right back to the heart of his message--and begin relating with one another (as individuals) based on the content of each person' character---not their ethnicity--this would get us MUCH closer to truth telling in agape.

I really like what she says about the need for humility and love, and that one group is not entitled to rule over another. But what is the "truth" that she says needs to be told? She says there must be "equity." What does she mean by that and how does she think it should be attained? These are super important questions that must be answered before I can wholeheartedly agree with her ultimate goals because I don't know what are her ultimate goals.
