Believe it or not, this was my first year actually railfanning. Here's the highlights of my 2024 railfanning season, 3 CN Deathstar SD70's on a train, ex citirail unit, and one of the CN 15th aniversery units at CN Markham yard, Big Boy 4014's tour was pretty cool this year (I got a bridge shot of her), an SD70M duo leading an autorack train in perfect lighting, the Metra rail saftey week unit, Metra 90 (CNW heritage unit), an awesome horn show from a CSX SD70mac crew (this is especially rare because I was down below the bridge and trains don't honk here), and an NS leader on a BNSF tanker train. As my first year railfanning I'd say it's a pretty nice introduction to the hobby.
1:35 good idea. Then you can go see all the goats you want and once you get out of your comfort zone of a boring line, whatever dead line they may be your more than likely gonna stay in another good spot for a few days to a week which is actually fun.
