Awe so you are installing those with one bp51 suspension. I have the same suspension and i am installung these uca's too. So i am curious how it turned it out. I have the TC uca's, TC cam tab gussetts and TC steering knuckle gussetts. I plan on switching to icon or king long travel coilovers. For a hundred bucks you can gey the one and done alignment boltsfor your tacoma, worth every penny. So how does the total chaos UCA's uppers and lowers perform with the BP51 suspension?????
Ah ok, let me explain. Our setup is all stock length, where the kit your talking about is long travel ( what Total Chaos is all about ) where the control arms are lengthened to give you more travel. Our stock length setup required no other modifications. The 2+ and the other long travel kits do require the axels to be replaced to longer ones as well as a tie rod extension usually. Hope this helps!
Not sure if I should get the heims or the Urethane bushing version... Im a daily driver, with a lot of offroading, and I like going fast :) And how is the noise? Heard it can sqeuak. Is it just a greasing issue?
Absolutely bullet proof control arms! You. Any go wrong with them, as for noise, yes they can get a bit squeaky but that’s really a maintenance issue. They suggest greasing them once a month even if not driven, if you maintain them and drive them they shouldn’t be squeaky but if you slack on it yes they will 100% squeak. Here in Florida we have some issues with having to service them sooner than most due to all the exposed metal parts, mostly the uniballs and I imagine that would be the case with the brim joints as well. Not saying they are bad just something to consider. These types of control arms excel out in the desert where they can go fast in nice dry climates but using them in wetter scenarios makes them wear out a bit faster than normal ones. Absolutely one of the best upgrades on the truck either way! Thanks for commenting and we hope we helped!
@@SunshineStateVikings I've decided not to get these unfortunately.. I live in Canada and hear that uni balls are a big no no. So I'm reconsidering the Icon or JBAs
Our LCA install was almost 2 years ago and we have never had an issue with our setup for our purposes. The Total Chaos LCAs have been one of the best additions we’ve ever made to our rig Loki! Other than our choice of hardware, we hope you found value in the content.
Incredible job with the video. You did such a great job showing the process of removing and installing these. Nice work, dude! And thank you
Great vid, thank you. Regular dude with garage skills getting it done!
You got it! 💪
easier way for doing this LC install is to first mount the uniball joint to the spindle knucle, then to the LCA brackets on the frame.
Great video 👍🏽
Thank you! 😃

Did you have to change your axles too? I just read that with the 2"+ upper and lower kit you have to change axles to retain your 4×4

Did this fix your noise problem from the suspension. Those things look really well built
100% took care of the moans and groans! The craftsmanship from Total Chaos is for sure top notch.
$1800 LCA and you reused rusty hardware, wow. I would have gusseted tabs and used poly performance plate and hardware kit.
