Hey guys! Besides this tutorial, what else would you like to know about LinkedIn profiles? 😀
Hi! Before landing a full-time position for the last year+ I was a marketing consultant for over 12 years with multiple clients. I would average 4-to-7 clients often concurrently and many times overlapping. What is the best way to show this on LinkedIn? Thank you in advance for your response.
@@stephenlennartz3466 I would show this as a single job experience, and you can talk about the diversity of your client base. I hope that helps!
I am doing consultancy for 2 different businesses. Let's say I am a full time engineer and now starting recruiting on a part time basis. How do I use my current profile on LinkedIn and create maybe another one with same contacts. Starting a new profile means I lose all my previous contacts. What would you recommend in this situation ?
Thanks a lot! I did this a while ago for a previous job but I wasn't sure if it still worked the same way. You won a sub, definitely a lot of useful info!
Thank you so much, Marcelo!
It worked~ Thank you. Very easy to understand. Helped me quick without any problems at all.
I’m really glad, Rheo!

Thank you for this! Love from Africa
You're very welcome!
Hello! Thank you so much for this tutorial. It helped me a lot. But I'd like to add an extra information about staking up each position: If a position hasn’t been grouped, it’s most likely because the start and end dates of the positions are not within one month of each other.
Yes, thank you for sharing that! I do mention that towards the beginning of the video. But it's certainly worth repeating, because it's a key point!
Thanks for sharing, it helped me.
Thank you! I needed this!
thanks !!!
Thank you! It puzzled me for quite some times. Need this information.
Thanks, it was very helpful.

Neat video guide!
Thanks so much!
Thx for help :)
You’re welcome!
Do you know if this also works if im still working in the first position as well? I got a dual position and will be working for two separate departments
Oooh, that‘s a good question, Kate! You may have to try it out to see if it works. I don’t know for sure. Sorry I can’t help more!
Thanks ❤
You're welcome!
This is great
Thank you! 😊
Thank you
You're welcome, Max!
If I have my first work experience in XXX company, and after 4 months, I come back to the same company, can I still use this function? It doesn't work on my side.
Unfortunately, LinkedIn only allows for a 1-month gap for you to group the experiences together. Hopefully they'll change that sometime in the future!
Its working 🔥
I’m glad to hear it’s working!
Right now I can't do it like in the video. Has this feature been removed by LinkedIn?
Thanks so much for asking! From everything I see on LinkedIn (including LinkedIn's help page), the feature is still available. To be sure, there can't be more than 1 month between the start and end dates of two positions at the same company.
Hello! I am trying to stack two positions. First role was March 2010-August 2013 and then I was rehired in November 2015 until present. Is this doable? You video mentions only a one month gap, but I wasn't sure if there was *maybe* a work around?
Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, there isn't a hack/workaround that I'm aware of. However, a possibility is creating a single job listing that spans from 2010 to present, and then in the description you can clarify when exactly you worked there (i.e. mention the 2-year hiatus in the description).
@@DelawareShoutOut thank you.
I worked at two other companies during that 2 years so currently it has those positions in between. I was hoping to gather the two positions at my current employer and then list the other two behind it. Doesn’t sound doable though.
@@hayleyferguson1789 Correct. It wouldn't be doable, unfortunately.
what about Same Organization, Different Position -- Can you group positions in the Volunteer Experience section? i tried it didn't happen any tip
You can do same organization/different position in the Experience section, but it doesn't look like you can do that in the Volunteer section. So you'll just have to get creative with your "title" in the volunteer listing and then explain it more in the description.
If you work at the same company 5 years apart how can we consolidate that under one company heading?
It doesn’t seem like LinkedIn allows for that, so unfortunately they’ll have to be separate listings, unless you create one entry but get creative with the wording. 🙂
@@DelawareShoutOut thanks. It’s not the wording I’m worried about. I have worked at a company, changed names, went to another company which inevitably bought the old company, then worked for them again years later. I wish I could combine the 4 jobs into one listing with different days..
Thanks
That's a tricky situation! You might be able to do 2 listings - one for each time where you worked consecutively.
1:26 In the Company Name section, can I add multiple company names at once. I am working in a National and International agency at the same time. I don't want to let down my work experience with previous company relations. 😑😑
That's a really good question, Tegar. Technically, you can put anything in the company name section, so, yes, technically, you can write both names in the same field. That's not what people normally do, but I don't know your exact situation. So try it out and see what happens!
thanks
You're welcome!
I was with security company in 2022 & 2024 is way adding this on my LinkedIn profile come's separated
Yes, unfortunately because so much time has passed, LinkedIn won’t put them under the same company heading. A workaround is to have one listing with the dates of employment from 2022 to present, and then explain in the job description that there were 2 separate times of employment.
it doesnt work even I entered my different positions in the same company. this is so stupid
I‘m not sure why it‘s not working for you. It‘s working on other people’s profiles. I’m assuming you’re following everything in the video. Sorry!
Hi, I need help with my Instagram log in. My username log in is an old email address I dont have anymore. Now I can't get in. what do I do please?HELP. I still need that account, its for business. thank u
Try logging in and selecting "forgot password" or "trouble logging in" and you might be able to submit a request for additional support, letting them know you can't actually access the email. Good luck!
@@DelawareShoutOut I only see forgot password though
Sorry - I wish I could help you more! I found the info from Instagram's own instructions. I'm more of a strategist than an account recovery person. Best of luck - hopefully you'll find the solution soon!
Right now I am teaching at five different colleges. How do I all list them as current positions?
Hi Joseph! You'll be able to list all 5. Just add them separately. They'll all show.
How do I do this on Facebook? I would like to do the same thing.
Thanks for asking! I don’t think this exists on Facebook.
This is not what your title suggested. These are two positions at the same company (which most people know how to do) not 2 companies at the same company ie working for a portfolio company that owns multiple companies
Thank you for your feedback. About 99% of the people who ask about multiple positions ask about multiple positions within the same company - they don't work for multiple companies within a larger umbrella company. My title was tailored to the majority.
it doesnt work for me
Ugh! I‘m sorry!
Cool
Thanks!
what if this is just experiences without a company?
Thanks for asking! You still need to put a company name there. You could say self employed or something more creative.
@@DelawareShoutOut thank you so much! yes i put like an unofficial name and it worked!!
idk mine doesnt work
Thanks for mentioning this. Did you meet the requirements as shared early in the video?
it doesn't work for me :(((
Not sure why - sorry! It's working for other people.
بربرتك واجد وليتها على سنع
Thank you!
😁
Thank you! 😊
