Did you get your promo added after watching this?
Yep! 😄
I came here just to check if I was doing it properly, and I got a whole class on how to ace it. Thank you for the content 🌟
It's very well done.
how do you do this in resume pls?
My update showed that it was a "new position" instead of alerting people that it was a "promotion" - is there anything I can do to change that?
99% of the reason we are all here is because we got a promotion. Congrats everyone. Sky is the limit. Stay safe.
Aww bud thanks lol
Thanks 😂❤
To everyone watching this video, congratulations on your promotion! Stay safe and well!
Thank you for this, and congrats to everyone who got a promotion! Woohoo!
To everyone watching this, congratulations on your well deserved promotion! 💐
I just added mine ! Congratulations on your promotion for everyone opening this video ! 🤩
Thank you for this Jennifer, and congrats to everyone who got a promotion more to comes.
This is great! Will this ensure that my job change is shared with my network as a "Promotion"? I've done this in the past and it shared as a "new job".
Yeah this shared to everyone that I started a new job at my company and didn’t say promotion. I notified all my of my network. These were the wrong directions.
Thank you, Jennifer! I appreciate your clear instructions and encouragement👏
Thank you! That helped and enjoyed your extra insight throughout the video
I just got promoted today and I need this video. Thank you
Still working fine in Aug 2024!
It wasn't very intuitive do it by myself because it seemed the older position was going to be overwritten, but it wasn't the case. Tks!!
Thanks so much for this video!! Exactly what I was looking for
Thank you, this vid was exactly what I needed!
Very well crafted video and it is to the point.
good sharing
What do you recommend if I had a role of Software Engineer 1 and got promoted to Software Engineer 2? Same responsibilities as the old job but more.
Do I just remove the 1 and 2 and combine everything into a single role? My concern here is it's not going to show my growth.
Or Do I have 2 job roles and have a bunch of duplicate stuff on the new role?
btw I noticed that linked in show your update as a new role and I'm almost sure that in the past the message was XXX "got promoted" or something like that...am I right? Do you have a way to make it like a promotiion not a new role? because I think no...
Thank you so much!! :)
Congratulations to everyone that got a promotion!
Thanks!
Thanks.
Congratulations everyone.
I have just completed my master's then in that case what I have to add in experience section.
Thanks
Thank you Jennifer . If it’s not too much to ask, could you please share some short sweet and effective examples of good promotion announcement post? I want to make sure I don’t sound pompous 😅
😂😂 congratulations
Last year I saw this video when I got my first Promotion...nd this year I'm re-watching this for my second promotion...
Congrats!!
@@JenniferBrick Thanks 😀
Congrats ppl for your promotions , keep it up 🙌🏻🙌🏻🤛🏻
Congratulations guys 🎉
🎉🎉
great content, but you should really update your microphone setup
I don't see where I can add it. Did this update go away?
How to ensure it goes as promoted not as new role alert
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PROMOTION!! 🎉
Hoya Mam
How to add a promotion to one of my previous company?
I forgot to add promotion in my last company. I wanna add it NOW, how to do that !?
Congratulations on your promotion guys 🎉🎉
Just been made VP
Idk why, but when I go update old positions it splits them into two different sections? Is this happening with anyone else
same for me, have you figured this yet by any chance?
I figured it out thanks to the tip down below: "The start month of the new role should overlap with or be the next month of the previous role end month."
@@paulinav5239 yep that was my issue
I got a promotion at work, but I'm choosing not to share to my feed. I work my ass off and because of it I get perks in addition to my promotion. Some people are salty to say the least :)
This didn't work for me, it advertised it as a new position!
didn't work for me either
@@arianasluyter7831 It only works if you have the first job set to "Present" otherwise it will separate it and show up as a new position.
The start month of the new role should overlap with or be the next month of the previous role end month.
@@Astra81 I tried it your way and it's still saying I started a new job. Why is this so irritating? Lol
@@elifnazyldz4381 follow the advice above 'The start month of the new role should overlap with or be the next month of the previous role end month." It worked for me
why does Linkedin make this stupidly fucking hard to do? It always amazes me when simple features are made impossible.
anyway congrats everyone
Could you turn this into a simple 1 minute video - without the extra comments? It would be helpful.
Thanks
