MALTA IN A DAY

Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast. It's a nation known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, French and British. It has numerous fortresses, megalithic temples and the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a subterranean complex of halls and burial chambers dating to circa 4000
On 30 April 1942, Malta endured a greater tonnage of bombs than in any one month during the Battle of Britain. It is no surprise its people were recognised for their gallantry by King George VI when he made the island the first population to be awarded the George Cross medal.

I love Malta but it needs a lot more than 1 day to explore it. A month would be a good start. Then there's Gozo.
