I had never heard of Malta before, for it is such a small island. I paid Malta a visit during my summer vacation, the trip was awesome. I recommend Comino Island, there was a bunch of people swimming there.
Thanks so much Tom! It had similiar vibes to Milos, just a little more chaotic and hot 😅 hope all is well in Australia and it’s be great to have you in Europe next summer
This video makes Malta look absolutly amazing! I've never been there myself, but after watching this, it’s definitly on my bucket list. The crystal clear waters of Comino and exploring Valleta look so stunning. It's hard to believe how much history and natural beauty is packed into such a small island. Hoping I can visit one day soon!
@@RyanShirley oh, many! Hypogeum in Malta, Ġgantija Temples in Gozo (older than Egyptian pyramids), catacombs (my favorites are in Rabat), three sandy beaches - Golden Bay-Tuffieha-Gnejna (and great hiking route between them), The Dragonara Cave (for jumping), Blue Grotto (not just for caves but for panoramic view) etc. By the way, I saw Azure Window in Gozo before it collapsed a few times, it was an amazing place.
For those who live in Northern Europe and Scandinavia I recommend Malta as an escape from the cold. Visit in January or February and stay as long as you can afford. You won't get bored. It will be much cheaper than summer and you will be just as welcome by the locals.
Your coverage of the Mediterranean is so thorough. Not as many people know about Malta as say, Santorini but it's so worth visiting. The Knights of Malta are still around and have diplomatic relations with many countries and issue their own postage stamps. They've been an order for over 900 years. The Mdna glass studio is well known globally. I don't usually buy souvenirs but I got a blue and green vase there that's heavy as a bowling ball. Worth checking out if you like that sort of thing.
Thanks so much John, I really enjoy visiting the Mediterranean islands. That’s awesome you’ve been, the history of the Knights of Malta is truly fascinating. I wish I would’ve known about the Mdna glass studio, I gotta see that vase! Must of been a challenge to bring it home 😅
I love Valletta! I'd also take the Sliema Ferry, then visit the Blue Grotto and the Blue Lagoon. Lastly, Comino looks insane! :) I'm looking forward to Part 2.
Love this video!! These places are gorgeous! The basilica is so cool with its architecture. So many amazing videos Ryan you the best man! I love the info you give. Another to add to my list! Heading to Iceland in 3 weeks I’m stoked.
@@RyanShirley Thanks brother should have it out end of November or sooner. Thanks for all the videos you put out. It inspires others to get out and explore! Have a good week brother.
For everyone reading, this video doesn't mention Popeye village, it's not just a place where something was filmed, it's extremely beautiful in real life, I was so surprised by it. Visit it! ❤
Hi Ryan, can you share any info about the boat tour and options you took to see these sights? Would be very interested to see if you have recommendations
Moved to Malta more than 10 years ago. It's like a real life GTA Mediterranean Edition - the world map is like downscaled, and everything is 20-30 minutes away. 😅 Really nice and vibrant colours. Were those on ground from the DJI Pocket 3 by any chance ?
Awesome video! I am thinking of going to Malta in early January, helpful video as always! If i may ask, what GoPro/camera are you using for your underwater shots? For when you go swimming? Soemthing thats waterproof? Thanks:)
Non of theese places are worth seeing in my opinion. I've been there, and those places you mention are simillat or identical to places on other islands around the globe. In my opinion, the olny reason to go to Malta is to see : Gigantia, Hypogeum, Tarxien temples and similar down the south. Uniqueness of those places makes it worth to see at least once in a lifetime. There is nothing like that anywhere else. Hypogeum, although rather small, very, very unique. Gigantia on Gozo and the other on Malta are just like Gobekli Tepe. A mistery. One big mistery, related to the history of a humanity on this planet Earth. This yes, is worth seeing. All other atractions we find everywhere else.
Malta is amazing!! This is the best travel guide!!🤩
We had a wunderful 8 day trip to Malta, Gozo and Comino in April and visited nearly all Highlights of the small but beautiful Islands.
Wow I’d love to go in April when it is cooler and more green. In august it was very hot 😅 where was your favorite place you visited?

Great video Ryan! Malta looks like such an epic place for cliff jumping and sea caves. Good to see the gainers are back!

Nice video Ryan! Had an amazing trip in Malta 3 weeks ago. Mdina was an amazing city. The silence in that city felt unreal.
That’s awesome you were there three weeks ago, almost there the same time! Mdina truly is special 🇲🇹
I live in Malta and was waiting for this video! 🙂 Come back for part 2, there is so much more to cover.

Very Nice Places😊
Malta's top 10? I didn't even know there's 10 places in Malta, it's so tiny 😂
Haha i wonder if Zakynthos is bigger than Malta 🤔
@@RyanShirley It's slightly bigger🤣 407km2 vs 316km2
As a Maltese it s tiny but it fascinates me that with just 316km2 we have so many beautiful places and beaches
Tiny with so many unesco world heritage sites
Hahaha ur funny , well I guess we sre for each other ❤❤❤ 💋
Love from Rajasthan ❤
I need to come to your country!
Beautiful 😍
Thank you!
Good luck!

Ryan - Excellent video… One of your videos inspired me to visit Madeira with my wife, another hidden gem! Is it better to visit Malta in April or May?
I was there in august but April and May both sound great, it’ll be greener and not as hot and less people
I wanna go there 😊😊
Malta is waiting for you!
