In your video it simply explains about the parts and what you'll need, and skips to your dash already being apart. A step by step tutorial on the entire install process would be wonderful.

The main thing I am looking for is a step by step on getting the stock radio out. I know from experience that finding out where certain screws are that need to be taken out or what pieces simply pop out without screws can be difficult, and knowing what pieces need to be removed can be difficult as well.
You will feel some resistance, but you will start to see it pulling away from the vehicle. There are just some simple retaining clips holding on the dash. Pull gently and evenly on all sides, top to bottom. It will come off fairly easily.
I've tested my yellow power and black ground and they are good but my red ignition wire has no power when I turn the key. Radio has not come on at all. Any ideas?

So just to inform everyone installing a Kenwood double din radio. The easiest way to bypass the parking brake is to actually just connect the brake wire to your wire harness ground. Really any ground will do. I also recommend using barrel connectors or bell caps when installing your radios. Tape should only be a temporary solution!

I am assuming you are talking about the USB and the 3.5mm audio jack that come out of the same port on the back of the stereo? That is for an iPod cable which I cover in the description at the very bottom, I cannot post links here. With this cable, you can connect an ipod or iphone to access your music, pandora, and netflix which play on the screen of the dvd player.
So I bought the adapter you suggested exact same part number. Truck I have is a ram 2013 as well. The part doesn't seem to fit into my cord that goes into the antenna. Any ideas
also how do you like the mic right there where you put it? is it a good location or have you found another spot? any complaints that you cant be heard from someone on the other line? sorry for all the questions just want to make sure I get the best out of everything I ordered
Your dash kit has instructions as well if you get lost! You will need to cut out the separating spacer (metal piece) in the back, you will see it when you get your factory stereo out. You just need to un screw 4 screws to remove the original stereo, and you will use the same screws to put the new stereo back in.
On the very top, like on the top of your dash you will see a little plastic/rubber piece that lays in a slot that you would put pens in. It has a Dodge emblem. Using your finger, remove that plastic piece and under neath you will see two screws.
You never mentioned in the video where you connected the reverse wire, I have the same year truck and I cant figure out what color wire I need to connect the violet reverse wire too
John Nivens I just did this about 10 minutes ago, the directions on the harness said to plug it to the green/violet. I can’t test it until tomorrow morning but hopefully it helps.

Unfortunately it did not work for my 2018, it’s only god for 2013-2017. If you have a 2018 and up you will need the maestro Rr and Ch3 which are a little better made but a PITA since you have to program the module online.

regarding the cable that is in your glove box. So does that mean that it is not wireless? you cant stream Pandora or make phone calls with out your cell phone being plugged in?? I just ordered everything from this video except I got last years model the ddx371 and it came with the reverse cam and Sirius xm kit. Great video I will use it as im hooking mine up next week. I just wanted to know if your phone had to be plugged up to the cord for you to access your phone from the stereo.

Does you SiriusXM still work? If so can you reuse the Sirius Antenna that is installed on the truck, with an adapter such as the SiriusXM SXV200v1 or is the connection proprietary also.

With the way I installed mine, you do lose the arm rest usb but I don't know about the audio in jack. On the vehicle side, when you remove the old deck there is a mini USB connector that doesn't have anywhere to go in a new universal stereo deck. I didn't even think about it when I installed y stereo. I imagine you could get an adapter and connect the car side USB (mini USB) to the USB cord that comes out of the new deck.

I apologize, I just watched the video for the first time in a while and I have no idea how I missed that. I did record the parts you specified, but for some reason those clips didn't make it into the video.
I did not have a backup camera equipped in my truck. From what I understand, you should have just had another set of RCA connectors coming out of your dash compartment which you would then plug into the other AUX input on your new deck.
any idea why my radio keeps turning on and off? in the instructions from metra it says to initiate it by turning ignition on for 30 seconds and then off and back on again. i tried this and it did not work.
Remove those two screws, you will need a star type attachment for a screw driver, I think they call it a Torx bit. Remove those screws and that's it as far as hardware. Then, starting at the top, use your hands to gently pull the dash away from the vehicle.
Please explain what more you need? I thought I covered it pretty well in the video. I would be happy to help you out further, but please be clearer as to what you need.

I also couldn’t get power unless I tapped it into a yellow wire but that gave it constant power even when shutting off the truck

axxessinterfaces has a micro USB to USB adapter allows you to retain USB in armrest if you have USB in on your new head unit.

Don't ever buy anything from Best Buy. Crutchfield provides plug/play harnesses for any stereos & speakers they sell. Well worth it.
