    Air Canada A220 performing flight from Toronto to Montreal was on the initial climb when the pilots reported a bird strike which had caused left engine vibrations and would need to return to the field.

      Also, why is the expression: "no dangerous goods"? If they are dangerous, how are they "goods"? Shouldn't they be "dangerous bads"?
      "We have XXX kg of beneficial goods onboard, and no dangerous bads."

    love that you marked it as a CSeries in the title screen. It sounds like there are two different departure controllers talking to the flight during the first part - why?

      The first is a trainee and the second was her instructor taking over when she wasnt sure what to say.
      Normally you'd know, but this is an unusually good sounding trainee.

    As a Canuck, I find it interesting that the international standard for flight communication is Feet and Miles.

      It is like that because if they made the transition a lot of older planes will have to update their instruments. The transition period will also be super dangerous where there could be a mix of metric and imperial. Feet is also more granular.

    Is it just me or does everywhere in the world call a PANPAN for birdstrikes/engine failures except the US? They take a large insect to the engine and its all "Mayday" and "I'm gonna declare an emergency".
    Is it FAA policy or SOP for American airlines?

      I could be mistaken but I don't think the term pan pan is anywhere in the FAA regulations.
