    The best things about this guy? His voice is clear, no mumbling or hesitations, and not too many umms or urrrs. He sounds like he knows what is going on and is in control, always a bonus. He does not sound stressed pissed off or over-worked, and actually sounds like he is enjoying his job. His sense of humour is definitely the icing on the cake. The world needs more like him.

    • @dantc2403
      @dantc2403 5 лет назад +55

      He really did demonstrate confidence and control in a difficult situation. He seemed to just accept that no one was going to get the gate they thought they would get when they touched down, and he didn't take that fact personally. He just proceeded with giving alternate routes that placed all aircraft in safe positions to hold and wait for a workable gate to open for them, knowing that everyone is going to get to where they're going soon enough.
      He also knew that the collision response was being coordinated on another frequency. But he didn't let that chaotic and potentially aggravating situation permeate onto his frequency or let it affect the way he communicated with pilots who had nothing to do with it and were just looking to complete their flight plan.

Yes they have majority retired Air Force pilots, but I enjoy flying somewhere without a lost bag and are famous for cutting corners in regards to food, service, and will offer you a meal ticket instead of a hotel for a cancelled, overpriced flight due to our snowstorms in winter. Any one who complanes about flight delays should listen to these for an hour, they might get to understand how amazing the people are who keep these planes flying from the pilots ATC ground crews terminal staff Airport maintenance security etc

    Kennedy Steve, and Pearson Dave (as I have read who this is), are like a doctor that has a sense of humor. They are professional and safety is paramount, but will instill a bit of laughter which is good for anyone.

    I looked at learning to be an ATC at one point when trying to decide on a career. If I had become one, I would want to be like this guy or Kennedy Steve. A bit of humour goes a long way with plane crews that are already stressed with airport delays I would think.
