So my ego gets wiped. Then out of the stones that people throw me it rebuilds itself.
    Any comments? Lol

Feels that way - but rebuilds to a lesser extent, each time you see a little more. For me it’s been more of an unfolding after that penny dropped, rather than a demolition all at once. The world drags you back - but less and less as we see more Truth. 👍

Resting back into pure awareness is most difficult while communicating with other people. I'm practicing that now, it does require practice. When someone is speaking to you, even if what they're saying is classically inflammatory or intended to rile you up, see if you can keep your mind clear and open, listen to the quality of the words and don't bother trying to cook up a tasty retort. When it comes time to respond do so out of the stillness of your being.
Another practical move I've found helpful that is less in the domain of mindfulness is to simply recognize that when someone as acting foolish more often than not its born of confusion, delusion, hidden underlying fear etc. That evokes just enough compassion to tame the fire of anger that grows when someone is being provacative.
Lastly, when you do get sucked in and your ego feels the need to respond in anger, realize you've lost your way and return to stillness. It's always a coming back that cuts through the noise of the ego. It really is like a child having a tantrum, they come they go.
