Well said. Wholeness includes everything, even nothing. Articulating the truth of this is the most challenging part, in my experience. And your expression of this keeps getting clearer. Years ago you said, "Some day, you'll say 'Adya, I need you like I need a hole in the head'!", which I could not imagine at the time, and which has been my experience for over a decade now (in the best possible ways, of course), and I still appreciate all your teachings and writings. What we're talking about here is just what's real, and the way you say things can point people to the direct experience of what's real. Which of course is the important part. Thanks!
Two years ago I felt almost constant bliss; this past year I have felt a lot of horror. Yet no matter what there is always the quiet background of True Nature. The way that form mingles with void constantly changes, yet without fail the void acts as a grounding for the form. It can always be touched upon and often springs forth unexpectedly. Quite weird how things work out. Thanks Adya.
Thank You, Adyashanti. I deeply respect Your teachings to the world. Its beautiful how you bring the wisdom to the people, who needs it. Thank you from the hearts of Me and My Family.
The mind can be very tricky. I really like your balanced and mature point of view. Helen Hamiltons core principles videos were what allowed my mind to stop chasing the self/silence/awareness, and instead rest there. It’s all about asking a question and *living as a question*, in her words. It’s so transformative.
underneath the myriad of faces-irrespective of our identities-or sex and ethnicity and class and whatever our creed or our race is-there’s the one SAMEONE there
I would like some advice. Sometimes when this kind of message gets through to me as an experience, my brain freaks out. The words tell me it should be unifying and full of love, and my mind says so too, but sometimes I spontaneously experience intense fear and loneliness (reminiscent of a bad psychedelic trip I have had before). It's hard to explain but my mind takes over going: if "I" am the only thing I know that exists, then I'm all alone, the outside world isn't real, I don't want to believe that, why trust these spiritual people anyway, maybe it's all a cultish scam, come back, come back to where you're safe. When I am in that state all I can think of is tending to this panic attack. It's easy to dismiss it in hindsight as just ego holding onto it's identity, but it's hard to "embrace" such an intense feeling of loneliness and the fear of "going crazy". I still want to see a glimpse of this truth you speak of. On a conceptual level the teachings seem to make sense to me, they sound wonderful in fact, but when I am triggered by these teachings, it's the opposite of peace and loving, so it seems as though what I believe fundamentally about it is flawed and I don't know what it is.
You are not alone, the universal intelligence is manifesting itself through many human forms, as well as through animals, plants, insects. You are nothing in the sense that, if you investigate you current experience right now you will see that you are not your nationality, neither your bachelor's degree, neither your job's title, neither the body, neither the mind, you can be aware of all of this, but you are none, yet, you can choose to identify with each of this, so you can be everything. Watch your emotions, watch the fear, the loneliness, it comes and goes, like any other sensation, like absolutely everything in your experience, aside from just a single thing. The only thing which you experience always, is the knowing of everything else.
@@Sasha-yx3qq hi thanks for your response. I'm not sure if I agree with this because I believe that you have to face and embrace your inner fear as part of the acceptance process, and only chasing positive emotions like peacefulness can lead to avoidance and hedonistic living. It's nice but I don't think it brings you closer to truth. But I do agree I need to look elsewhere and keep searching!
@Bogdan Robu thank you for this. It seems like I get a panic attack when I oscillate between "I am a small part of everything and everything is connected" (wholesome) and "wait so that means I AM everything i.e. alone" (panic). I like the thought of my body and my field of consciousness as a manifestation as a part of the whole like you say, but dropping into the background of awareness makes me feel like my consciousness is the only thing there is (technically from my individual perspective it really is the only thing I can mentally perceive). But I also know that this fear or anxiety is just part of being human and pure awareness is inherently accepting and okay with everything. I suppose I just can't comprehend, or found an explanation as to how I am manifested as a limited human being if I am part of universal consciousness. Writing this I realise that it's such a limited way of thinking and I don't know if it's because I've been brought up to work with logic and science all my life.
Master, I am confused, If we are enlightenment, our individual personality dead, and super me present, so you become the one, become the whole, what do we need to gain from meditation? So you are be consciousness everywhere and anytime.
While it is true that there is no apparent line of demarcation between awareness and thought... yet there is. And this is the same line you're pointing to in expressing the paradox of "I am limited human" vs. "I am limitless". (The very same line.) So to further inquire into the subject we can just allow ourselves to look toward the seeming division between awareness and thought; we needn't take it any further. Because all the qualities and 'paradoxes' you describe in the outer experience are found here, in the inner. Whilst one holds a close RELATIONSHIP with their thoughts, they are nevertheless, not equivalent. For thought is of the inherent CREATIVE capacity of awareness, of Self - yet it cannot be said to be its equal. For this reason we possess the capacity to CHANGE our thoughts, to discern them, and to indeed VIEW them. All of these actions do not, and cannot, be applied to the Self which is obscured behind their appearing. That Self is not open to our VIEWING, only to knowing. That Self is not open to CHANGE or alteration of any kind, yet it may call it forth from it's creations. So this is the relationship between the Self and Self's creations. They are close to one another, as close as a Father is to a Son, yet they are not the very same - one is the PROGENY of the other. And if we lose sight of this distinction, perhaps our observations are not as keen as they need be. For if we confuse Creator with creation we are again losing ourselves in a facet of delusion while attempting to view the 'diamond mind' that lies within us. And all confusion, no matter how subtle, brings with it certain undesirable results. And these results, like a pebble in one's shoe, will eventually grow intolerable. At which point we (the Self) will chose to bring forth its removal.

*Very insightful* ....this is true that most of the time the natural mind wants to know if its one or the other when dealing with any topic of discussion, when the fact of the matter is that it is usually BOTH...just consider when the religious leaders of Jesus's day tried to trap him by testing him asking him whether or not they should pay taxes to Caesar or not; Jesus replied saying; "give to Caesar the things that are Caesars, and give to God the things that are Gods"...Luke chapter 20 nkjv (Both) not one or the other was Jesus God or man? Both!
एकोहम बहुस्याम - How the creation happened while the absolute is advaitam, without a second ?. The answer to this question by Upanishad is that, the creation happened by the sankalpa derived from Brahman; the non dual Brahman thought or willed, "I am One, let Me become many!" ; so by the sankalpa the Brahman projected himself as many. (Ancient Indian philosophy - Santana Dharma).
This is what I’ve realized and perceived from my experience, I saw that in the very beginning there are two, the infinite and the limited and the infinite essentially fills the limited and that’s how creation happens
It's funny to me that this "discovery" of yours is one of the basic teachings in Kabbalah and Tarot, mystical traditions that you have often denigrated in your previous talks.

They say you find yourself near truth when you feel peaceful...so I suggest that you seek elsewhere. 🙏

Things come and go and that’s ok. Our problem is we think the coming is a great event and the going is a tragedy
Everything is connected, including the illusion.

It only gets paradoxical when a dualistic tool (the mind) tries to describe that that isn't dual. The answer is not in the mind
The answer is not in the mind ????? I don't get it !!!!!! May you explain it ??????? Thanks

The absolute was not alone, there was the mirror of energy, there has to be two originally for life to occur
This is what I’ve realized and perceived from my experience, I saw that in the very beginning there are two, the infinite and the limited and the infinite essentially fills the limited and that’s how creation happens
That’s why we are the limitless encased in the limited
If you are both a limited capsule and an unlimited being you must have come from the union of the unlimited and the limited :)
@@bryanbarrera9496 I see it as the limited appearing or arising in the limitless.
