I’ve tried this. What works like a charm for old stains is to mix the baking soda and liquid dish soap into a paste. Place paste onto stain and scrub in with the toothpaste, then wash and dry. Worked on an oil stain that I had in a pair of jeans for months.
I tried this today with about a 45 min soak on my white shirts that have grease stains, and washed with an extra presoak to no avail… did you let it soak overnight?
I had a BIG BIG oil stain on my new t shirt..I was holding hair oil and it got on me,I tried this method and im waiting for the results,I’ll edit this comment once the results are here edit:THE REPLY REMINDED ME TY SO MUCH but the update is,it works so good!! It removed the stain ❤️
wow worked wonders what a life saver i’ve had these stains for months to even a year or two and i have yet to find a solution… until i found this life changing video. i will never forget this moment. thank you let’s do a recap ❤
Thank you so much this really helped me out a lot. I spilt some Olive Oil on my clothes and thought I could never get it out until I tried this method. Also so helpful that it used simple Iteams that you would probably have in your cupboard instead of strange acids to clean . Thank you!
Thank you, I have initially tried the washing mashine to no avail. I tried your method on a hoodie with a 1 month old oil stain and a pair of trousers with a 8 ish month old oil stain (I am very lazy hence why I had done nothing about it), Your method removed it 😁. One pointer is that, when I rinsed the baking soda and washing up liquid under the water after leaving it while I ate lunch, the residue of the washing up liquid remained so I just put it in the washing machine for it to completely get the washing liquid out. Both pieces of clothes now stain free.
Wow great to hear it worked well on an 8 month old oil stain! Thanks for sharing your results and great suggestion for throwing the treated garment into the wash for easy rinse. Glad it worked out. Really appreciate your comment and thanks for watching! 🙂
Yes! Works with oil stains after drying (for the most part). It really depends how long the oil stain has been there, material type, how large or heavily stained the area is, and you may have to repeat process to fully remove the oil stain. Definitely worth a try. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! 🙂
Depending on the size or how heavy or light the oil stain, dish detergent alone may get the stain out completely. However, using baking soda will help lift the oil and make the cleaning process more effective. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Not sure about older stains, but we've tried this on an oil stain that's was about 2.5 weeks old, light beige colored shirt, 100% cotton and it worked well to remove the oil spot (from pizza). Def worth a try though. Once you work in the dish soap and baking soda, we would just let it sit a little longer before rinsing. Let us know how it went if you decide to try! Thanks for watching! 🙂
Went to a ramen place and got some of the soup on my top and it did stayed in for almost a whole day. Hoping this works 🙏🙏‼️ -THIS IS AFTER I DID WHAT THE VIDEO SAID TO DO, AND IT ACTUALLY WORKED IM SO SHOCKED?? 😭😭
Not as effective, but will generally work (on cloth seats). The difficulty is rinsing the spot, you'll want to use a wet/dry vaccuum to dry out the area vs trying to blot dry with a towel or cloth and air dry. The latter will leave you with "water spot" stains when it dries. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Thanks for your comment. We'd suggest repeating the process and soaking a little longer before rinsing. Not all oil stains will come out depending on material and length of time, but sometimes repeat washes will do the trick. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Gonna try and remove a 4 month old oil stain 😂
How did it turn out? I have a 1 month old one😂
We're curious too! 😅 We've tried this on a shirt stain that's was 2-3 weeks old, but not 4 months... How'd it go?!
How did it go ?
It probably worked I just cleaned the oil off of a hoodie (it’s been there for longer than 4 months, idk exactly)
do you think it still works even if i dint have baking soda at home?
Depending on the size or how heavy or light the oil stain, dish detergent alone may get the stain out completely. However, using baking soda will help lift the oil and make the cleaning process more effective. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Any tips for an old stain?
Will this work on a 1-2 m dirty t shirt? And it’s bright yellow

Wish i knew this years ago
Use talcum powered on the stain. If the stain is old, dampen it before putting talcum powder. All this shenanigans for a stain!
I’ll be damn…….worked great!

will this work on oil stains from my car

I still saw the shadow of the oil stain.
