      i like creators who give back, but the problem with these type of giveaways is that not everyone has twitter and doesn't want to create one just for a giveaway.
      on a side note, this channel has some very interesting content, keep it up!

    Wilt Chamberlain 55 rebounds in a game. 50 point average for a season. 100 points in a game. Season average of 27.2 rebounds for a season. Over 48 minutes a game for a season. Those are 5 unbreakable records by the same man.

    1.Wilt used to work out with the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) during the time when Arnold first came to the U.S. as a bodybuilder. Wilt got his bench press up to 500 pounds. Shaq could only bench about 450, probably less now.
    2.When Wilt was 59 years old, he was STILL able to bench 465, which is more that Shaq has ever been able to do. Wilt was 63 when he died.
    3.Wilt averaged 46 minutes per game over the course of his career, and in 1962, Wilt only sat out EIGHT MINUTES of the ENTIRE SEASON. He was ejected with two technicals with eight minutes to go in one game, but played every minute (including overtimes) of each of the other 79 games that season. As a result of playing more minutes of overtime than he sat out during regulation, Wilt averaged 48.5 minutes per game that year, even though a regulation game is only 48 minutes.
    4. 60's era in which Wilt played, was a more physical era. There were no sissy flagrant or hand-check fouls during that time. Refs allowed those physical tactics go unpunished because the owners and NBA management believe that blood and violence was what brought people to basketball games back then.
    5.The physical play was so rough against him that Wilt actually retired after his rookie year. He wrote a piece for Look Magazine about the NBA being a bush league, but the Warriors' owner talked him into coming back, even though Wilt was ready to hang it up.
    6.the average height of NBA centers back in Wilt's day was 6'10". Wilt towered a mere three inches over the opposition. Darral Imhoff, the center against whom he dropped the 100 points is 6'10. Bill Russell, the second best rebounder in league history and the center on which he grabbed a record setting 55 rebounds (but the Celtics won the game by three points) is also 6'10".
    7.You don't see Yao Ming endangering these records, even though he has a four inch advantage over your average centers today. Besides, Walter Dukes is 7'1", Swede Halbrook is 7'3", and Mel Counts 7'0". How come none of these 60's players put up the same numbers as Wilt did? Height is not the reason for Wilt's domination
    8.Wilt was a shot put thrower, a champion high jumper, a track star, and a triple jumper. He could bench press 550lbs back in college. The man is also in the volleyball hall of fame and he only began seriously playing this game when he was past 36.
    9.What would it be like if a prime 7'1'' 300-pounder with a 55" vertical and a 500 bench press came into the league now? I think he'd expose the NBA for the sham it is today.
    WHAT ABOUT THIS ErA?
    10.he'd definitely lead the NBA in rebounds. He'd average 18.
    11.Second, he'd lead the league in blocks. He'd average six or seven.
    12.Third, he'd lead the league in shooting percentage for guys over 15 points per game.
    13.Fourth, he'd lead the league in free throws tried. 15-20 per game.
    14.He would also lead in minutes played at 45 per game. No center could run with him.

    • @Deenijel
      @Deenijel 7 лет назад

      Matthew Clark you can't be this clueless you know that they didn't record steals and blocks back then? Do the math it's pretty basic: Wilt averaged around 9+ blocks per game(a study took the recording of his older years and the few games they had and did an average of blocks per game in his 90+ games) one season he averaged 24 points 24 rebounds and 8,5 assists! Put those nubers together and you'll get averages of 24, 24, 8,5, 9 now asks yourself: Did he ever get a quadrouple double in a game? Just a shame they didn't count blocks and steals back then so people today could grasp how dominant he actually was. His PER would be unparalleled! Who knows maybe Wilt even had a Quintuple-double!

    • @andrewhunt8695
      @andrewhunt8695 8 лет назад

      I wouldn't call Stockton underrated because compared to other alltime great PGs he isn't anywhere near as good (skill wise). John Stockton was never a top player in the league and was only all nba 1st team 2 times. He was an above average point guard who got a lot of assists and Steals and had an extremely long career. But if you cut the last 5 seasons off his career he might not even be in the HOF. His ridicously long career and his consistency is his only validation for being in the conversation for the greatest PGs of alltime but when you really look at it he had the perfect team for his playstyle.

      Nope, if he had been in LA during magics time, they would be showtime in steriods.
      Had he been in the Rockets in the late 80s, LA showtime would not last long.
      Had he been with the bulls, Jordan might have retired earlier because their game would have been so much easier that I think Jordan will be bored to death of how easy he will be playing the game.
      Had he been with LA in Shaq and Kobe's time, I don't think that team would have disbanded.

      +Dell Pc23 how does it make sense to penalize wilt for that? The players were different because the game has evolved and now players have access to far better training methods and knowledge. If you move wilt's birthday up 50 years he would just benefit from all that and be even more athletic. Honestly I believe if he played in the 90's he would have destroyed mj. If he tried to dunk on wilt he'd get his arm ripped off.

    • @jameslarson6684
      @jameslarson6684 8 лет назад +4

      Because sadly, no one believes wilt could be as good as he was back then. Put wilt in today's nba with the weak centers they have now, I give him 30-35 ppg, 18-23 rpg, 5-7 apg, 3-6 bpg, and 1-2 spg. He would destroy all the centers

    • @Karma-hy6ki
      @Karma-hy6ki 8 лет назад

      +James Larson um no wilt played all 48 mins and never was fouled or injured. Today's NBA harden plays the most with 38 minutes and that's huge. Coaches would rest him and make him play like 30-34 mins a game and he could get injured. Also there is much much tougher talent then 8 or 9 teams so wilt wouldn't even win the original 2 rings and he wouldn't have all this crazy records he would be a really good center.

    • @jameslarson6684
      @jameslarson6684 8 лет назад +3

      You can believe what you want. I don't feel like arguing. But believe this: Wilt is the greatest center ever and a top 3 player all time

    • @daewoo4175
      @daewoo4175 8 лет назад

      sadly i don't believe there will be much tougher talent than in those 8 or 9 teams who were pretty much stacked and were allowed to pretty much play football with your body like it was the NFL, but i think a 26 ppg,16 rpg, 3 apg, 2.7 bpg and 1.3 spg is a way more acurate way for him in today's NBA.

    • @callakracker
      @callakracker 8 лет назад

      Because Wilt played in a time where everyone else around him were short unathletic white dudes half his size. Barely any real competition in his prime. 55 rebounds in 1 game, averaged 8.8 blocks in 112 games during the end of his career.... Shows how athletic he was, they did not record blocks anywhere close in his prime, 100 points in a game, the most rebounds in nba history 23,000, averaging 22.9 rebounds for his career, averaged 50.4 points in a season 55 rebounds in 1 game, the greatest stamina in nba history, basically the most athletic/strongest/best nba player. Got to give credit to other players like Bill Russel and Hakeem... But Let's all be honest, Wilt is the best.

      DoubleU Gamer how is wilt better than jordan lol? jordan played the game when it was 100 times harder to do shit wilt was pulling and still is nr1 in ppg in a career.. he also took 2 long brakes to play baseball and golf or whatever it was.. if he didnt do that he'd shit all over kareems most points in career record im sure of it.. compare any modern scorer to him and u'll see they dont stack up with him comparing stats with games played and minutes put in.. do the math u'll see noone comes close.. maybe kobe but even he's behind in like every stat considering he played like what, 300 games more than jordan?

    Wilt was undoubtedly the best statistical player in nba history. Here are just some examples. 50.4 ppg for a whole season, 100 points in a game, 55 rebounds in a game, 22.9 for a whole season, 4029 points in a season, 59 points in a half, 1.4 women a night.

      Big men are scorers. Point guards are the only ones who can rack up a lot of assist numbers.

      Jarzem Bastien Ben Simmons is a Small Forward. Forwards are scorers. Look at the all-time assist leaders list. They are all guards, mostly point guards. Only point guards stand a chance at becoming even close to top 10 on that list.

  • @danielyankun3605

    in the 60s since their were only 8 teams only the absolute best players on the world made it to the nba and every team was good which makes it just as hard as it would be now to win 11 in 13 years or 8 in a row, yeah theres 30 teams, buy only 8 good ones and only 3 or 4 with a legit chance at winning a champiinship, bill russell is disrespected way to much by idiots that think the nba in his time was really easy but the 60s were the 2nd greatest decade in nba history behind the 80s
