Good review! Can you tell me one more thing? How should we charge it? Is it: Li-ion (do what you like), or old type "memory style" battery (if you don't drain it, you loose)?
+arth0044N You charge the watch on the micro USB port on the left side of the watch. And I'm pretty sure it has a Li-Ion battery :)
The keyboard is very small is it possible to add a voice to text app...

You only need the SIM card to make calls and text from the watch's number. But u can connect it to your phone and make calls on the watch through your phone without a SIM card :) I hope you enjoy it!
Nice review! One question, if you don't install a sim card you will still be able to receive all other notifications, besides text right?
Yes, everything that happens on your phone goes to your watch (even texts). And if you have a SIM card in the watch, everything that is sent to that SIM card comes on to the watch (calls, texts, voicemail) :) Hope this helps!

You have to press the home button to turn it on and off, and you can set a time as to when you want it to go off (Ex: Sleep after 30 Seconds)

No, you can use the watch like normal without a SIM card :) If you want to be able to use your watch as a whole other phone (send texts and make phone calls from the watch) then you need a SIM card. Hope this helps!

why would I need a Sim card? I thought it could work off of my Bluetooth?
It does work on bluetooth with your phone's number, but if u want the watch to have it's own number, you need a SIM card. It's not necessary though
can you make phone calls and send texts without a sim card if it is connected with Bluetooth

Do you have a SIM Card in your watch? If not, you will not be able to go on the internet. Hope this helps!

so if i go to a mobile shop and get a sim card and top it up with data it should work?

questions: I bought one, another on the way. Where do I get a sim card for these watches? And I see FB and FM radio and internet icons. NONE work. What do I need to do? FM radio says: plug in earphones. Impossible. no jack. SO I installed pandora on my phone then it works on watch. When I tap on icons for FB and Internet- it says: currently not available when you click on them. Any suggestions?
You can get a SIM card from contacting your cellphone provider (or whoever supplies SIM cards for your phone). I am pretty sure, after putting a SIM card in you should be able to use the Internet on the watch. Can I ask what you mean by "FB"? Hope this helps :)

+Lesley Nolan You should (should) be able to get the SIM for free, and you would have to pay for the SIM card in your watch just like you pay for your phone monthly.

Hoping it will not create another phone on my bill (we already have 3 phones in our plan...) thanks again! and re the fm radio I tried plugging ear buds into my phone. the watch FM radio still said plug in earphones. +Lesley Nolan I think the problem for the radio is that you need a micro usb to 3.5mm headphone jack (like this www.amazon.com/Samsung-Headset-Adapter-Micro-Female/dp/B003W057FS ) By the way I have this problem too, but it doesn't bother me because If I need it, I use my phone radio :) But I don't think that you need a SIM card for the radio. Yes, if you want to send texts back you need a SIM card

+EliteExpert howdy thanks for your help in past. RE this and sim card...took it to tmobile we tried multiple sim cards Would NOT connect. He said it WOULD create a new phone number and another 15 bucks a month. SO I said heck with that. I even put the sim card from my phone into the watch. will NOT connect no matter what we do. SO going to give up on that. bummer. I had ordered another one so I just cancelled it. NO matter what we did it said Connection failed...

DZ09 MTK6260A firmware.... Hi all! Does anyone have the MTK6260A version of this smartwatch? Can any one help me with the original firmware? of any backup ones? Ive try to load the MTK6260 without the "A" my watch does boots up but my touchscreen is NOT working.
Sorry, I don't have the firmware, but is it an upgrade to the original firmware of the watch?
