As a fellow Jamaican, I'm proud of Andre. I love that he tried to include his cultural background in almost every meal and I can see the Jamaican influence just by the way he cooks from the heart.

The best thing about Masterchef Canada is that there were so many great competitors who deserved a win and even if they didn't, They proved themselves.
Would not surprise me if the top 3 from all of the contests got jobs in the field. You never know who is watching competitions like this on TV. I know of a number of cooks that did not win the whole show and wound up getting to live there dreams because someone made the investment in that person anyways.
He should've won MasterChef, but they gave it to a piercing monster - but they were forced to, because if they didn't, the LGBT community would call them homophobic

andre has such a positive personality you can really tell how much he wants this and how passionate he is about his food. he seems like a really humble dude and definitely deserved all the love he has recieved!!!
I've been cooking professionally for around 5 years and holy crap man, Andre has to be the most down to earth humble chef/cook I have ever seen. The way he is just surprised by the judge's honest reactions to his hard work and his flavors speaks volumes to his character. My man's heart is in a great place.

Andre is an absolute gem his composure and humbleness is beyond explanation. And i also loved how secure he is to tell that he is motivated to cook because of his hardworking wife. A man who is secure enough to praise her work. He is lovely❤.

Indian cuisine include around 20-30 spices like turmeric, ginger, pepper, cumin are some of the and there are infinite ways to use them. Every spices has its own reason of existence, which make food more flavorful and exciting.

Someone who can cook well is the type of person that can elevate how we think about a cuisine. If this guy is the real deal, and he seems so, then he can elevate Jamaican cuisine to a new level. I have eaten great food, for which I paid little, and some for which I paid more. When I lived in NYC, I occasionally walked 3/4 of a mile for a Jamaican food cart. That was pretty good, but not elevated. Andre might be able to elevate, but if he stays with Jamaican it could be difficult. Good luck to him.

I was rooting for both Andre and Jennifer - they were and ARE incredible chefs in their own way. Honestly, I hope Andre comes back again and WINS at one point. Wherever they are, I hope they're slaying the kitchens and living their best lives.
I really don't understand how Andre lost to Jennifer. Yes, her cooking was pretty awesome but I think Andre was the outright winner in most of his meals. I hope he wins this next one that's on now. edit: Wait a sec...Am I a year behind? I just noticed a new competition with past competitors, Andre being one of them. Is that new or old? I haven't watched all the seasons and only just started watching, so I have no idea what season I'm even watching. OMG! Anyway, it was one where a gal named "Dora" (very first one eliminated), pronounced Sandwich as Samwich. I wear hearing aids, cranked them up, had to listen a couple times, even read her lips...yup, samwich. Like woman, you're a great cook by the sounds of things. I'd at least expect a great cook to know how to pronounce that properly. Jeez!

It seems a lot tend to go into the field. Season 7 was exclusively former competitors working in the food industry.

Claudio has a great sense for talent. He had the top 2 on his pick and 3 of his contestants made the top 4.
That's the thing with Claudio. Whenever he sees talent he doesn't hestitate to even embrace it. That's what make him stand out amongst the judges.
