    • @nicolásTerán.1
      @nicolásTerán.1 Год назад +5

      @@GonsoiI only talk about public education because rich people already have the knowledge and resources. A good education is not based on teachers or regulations but on values. If there are values I will provide for my family but if there are no values there can't be good education. I have seen children with wonderful teachers who do not learn anything and children only with books that are eating the world, so a good education must give good values, but if a child had a terrible life, most likely he will not want to learn. you must make people fall in love with this life, there is no other way.

    Well, I lived in Chile for half a year and my boyfriend is Chilean. I can provide some realistic pros and cons. This video has covered very obvious cons. There are more. The pros are definitely the beautiful Chilean people. They are the sweetest and it's very easy to make friends. People are very polite. Chile, as mentioned above has a beautiful nature. However, groceries are extremely expensive. I am from Europe and the prices there literally shocked the hell out of me. Another issue is big segregation and street safety. You need to be careful with your personal belongings outside, hide your phone otherwise you will get robbed. Only a handful of districts (las condes, providencia,Vitacura and a few more) are on par with the European life standard, the rest feels like any other Latin American country. There is a migration crisis too. Therefore there is a lot of illegal immigrants, beggars and homeless. Those tents are everywhere, including the historical center. It's sad. I hope this situation will improve. I still recommend to visit and experience Chile for yourself

    • @gabrielruizcortes472

      @@gabrielruizcortes472 it is safer in the smaller cities of the South, it's true. But you can't deny safety across Chile has been declining. Especially in the North and the Central part. The coastal region too. I found Valparaiso to be even less safe than Santiago. However, yes, the South situation is undeniably better. Partly because it's more remote and has a smaller population. Plus, illegal immigrants tend to stay either in the North or go to other bigger cities of Central Chile

    While the mean temperatures are usually between 7 and 20 degrees celcius, it’s very normal to see various moments in the day or night where the temperature will reach extremes, it’s normal for winters to have many days around 0 degrees in winter and seeing afternoons with 30+ degrees are getting more common each year! (In Santiago)
    Homes and apartment buildings built in the last 5~10 years will usually be really well done on the climatic side (and the seismological side for lot longer! Thank god!) to compensate for that without aircon, but it makes commuting and living in old homes (that are really common) a total nightmare sometimes.
    Thank you for making a video about Chile!

      I recommend watching subtitled chilean media, we have a number of good quality movies and shows that are big productions and exported. Why? because chilean spanish is a dialect of our own, just like americans or british sometimes seem to speak entire different languages due to the regular use of slang, but also, because many of our words descend from indigenous culture like mapuche or quechua, and those you will never find in a Spanish-English dictionary. Chilean international celebrities giving interviews in spanish can also help, Pedro Pascal, Santiago Cabrera, Leonor Varela, Marko Zaror, etc.

    I think Chile has gone down hill over the last 5 years, it's a shame as it came very close to becoming a true first world country. But open borders policy (which has been curtailed a bit) made it easier for Narcos to get their men in, and their product. Which created more addicts, hence more crime. But also the immigration allowed wages to stay low while housing costs (and costs in general) went up so many young Chileans opted to become a career criminal or opportunistic crime to top up a low wage, or make a living if unable to find work. It was effectively a double whammy effect. And all the crime hurts business which can end up driving them out of town or neighbourhoods which hurts an economy even further. It's not in a good place compared to 10 years ago.
    Chile's resources, the copper, good agriculture and fisheries, the lithium, the green hydrogen potential h as given it a lifeline for the crisis though so it's not over yet. Hope remains.

      I am from Argentina. I think that Chile is better in general for the quality of life. But Argentina is more White. Even more than what I have seen in Europe. The user "posteador" describes it very well.

    fast food is literally made to be addictive... and it's toxic and disgusting
    so.. Chile sounds amazing... like, i want to get away from fast food, reality TV.. money-obsessed culture. I won't name names but :) mystery babylon is like... pervasive. It reaches everywhere I think? but... idk. some places... have a bit too much of it :D

Would make the whole video watching an enjoyable experience instead of just feeling that pain listening to the almost robot reading voice with pronunciation mistakes 🎉

    I was riding on a bus down Alameda Ave. (downtown Santiago's main avenue), and a group of young Venezuelans forced their way onto the bus and got us all passengers robbed, gun- and knife-pointed in broad daylight. Sorry to burst your bubble mate, but you should update your sources before publishing idyllic bs. That's the way the cookie crumbles in my country nowadays.

      sectors of the right wing warned us about the consequences of illegal immigration for 4 years and more and we didn't hear them, now we are being whipped by crime, Santiago was already a war zone though, it's just even worse now, the only safe places still and as always the South (-Araucania)

      Puerto Monnt and Puerto Varas are one of the biggest to the furthest. But i would recommend you Valdivia, its almost a perfect mix between rural buildings and modern city. The 2 others seem like more industrial cities, so it still depends on your objectives. But look videos on youtube about valdivia
