I have mental health struggles related to military service which have rendered me totally and permanently incapacitated as defined by Veterans Affairs. I’ve also been diagnosed as mildly ASD. My mental health struggles impact my kids lives significantly resulting in trauma being passed on to my kids. One has been diagnosed ASD 3, and the other ASD 2. These are lifelong disabilities for my kids that have come directly from me. The difference here is that Mikes disability is visible, mine and my kids disabilities are invisible. Without a conversation people think my kids have behaviour issues or are weird. One look at Mike and it’s clear what’s up. Having said that, your disabilities don’t define who you are. Andrew hasn’t narrowed his focus on you because of your disability, he’s narrow his focus on you because you’re a d1ck

I saw Lauren post about this subject. She didn't get into the specifics of the video but she seems like a sweet person. She's the type of person that was making fun of herself and trying not to have meltdown about not winning. She is an easy target for a whiny, crybaby that goes around looking to be offended. People like this are tiring and toxic. He doesn't inspire anyone to be better, if anything he tears people down to make himself look better. He picks on Lauren but he wouldn't do it to someone that would tighten up his backstroke. He talks about his mom's life lessons but seems to have gone in a different direction with his actions.

Had Witous handled this differently, he likely would have more followers and people to listen to his story. I find him unique & interesting and support his success in CrossFit; given his scorched Earth attitude of attempting takedowns of everyone whom he disagrees with, there's no interest in learning more. His lesson to learn is that not every human interaction requires a fight. "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar."
The irony is that I wanted to include his words on why he does not like the word midget. So in a way, he got his message out there because of the vinegar.

This is scary; people have gone mad with this whole cancel culture. I feel for Lauren Fisher- she got so much hate for something she put with no bad intention; if anything she was making fun of herself to diffuse her mistake/frustration. And honestly it had made me laugh because I hadn’t even thought of it negatively. I understand some people get offended by certain words but I believe it’s the intention that make those words ‘offensive’. What is insane is- okay, let’s say you are offended. Voice your concern once in a respective manner (if you feel the urge to) but then maybe end it there rather than going around making posts/stories/comments about it multiple times incessantly, and try and get them out of the community or their training camps etc. Insane.

Andrew hits the nail on the head here. Even though it is undeniable that words and their articulation have power, no one "owns" the English language. Even Samuel Johnson, who developed the modern English dictionary recognized multiple meanings and contextual uses for words. It's clear that Lauren Fisher didn't intend anything malicious towards anyone (or any group) other than some light-hearted self-deprecation at herself. Further, if a person deems themselves an authority to police the thoughts, intentions, and words of others, they should apply their rigid rules to everyone; most especially themselves (no free passes!). If he had honor, Mikey Swoosh would reverse his stance in accordance with his own stated philosophy, and own up to a mistake, but I don't see that happening. Sadly, in our regressive and increasingly amoral "by any means necessary" society, where words & thoughts are manipulated and weaponized and used as "virtue hacks" to destroy/elevate status and power, divisive social opportunists/hucksters like Swoosh have become commonplace and accepted. Good people (still the majority) must stand against this type of conduct and stand against its bad actors.

It's obvious that Ms. Fisher (who by all accounts is an outstandingly kind and sensitive person) was attempting light-hearted self-deprecation, not making a statement about, or insulting disabled persons. To believe it was a comedy misfire is a matter of taste, but to accuse her of bigotry is unfair. To campaign against her to social media censors, sponsors, CF HQ, and her local affiliate; lobbying to have her disciplined/removed is malicious and wrong. The pathological tactics of hyperbolically intolerant fringe players and their mob to weaponize language (and control others) is a much greater concern than a silly joke. That is what needs to be recognized and rejected here.

It may suck, but it’s no one’s fault and if he’s taking that out on others, that’s not fair or right.
He’s simply asking people to speak with respect when referring to their fellow brothers and sisters. How offensive! He may have been told that life is not fair and that he should get over it, but he was also taught to fight for justice. I applaud him for his passion.

Just seeing this but had to correct a crucial error you made in this video. Aragorn, son of Arathorn, the nine and thirtieth heir in the right line from Isiuldur, actually tossed Gimli, son of Gloin, onto the bridge. He asked Aragorn to not tell the elf though that he was tossed. Just wanted to rectify this error. 10/10 video per usual, Mr. Hiller.

I have friends who have dwarfism. They informed me the community prefers “little people” I haven’t followed up with the but their children, whom also have dwarfism. Just competed in the world Dwarf games 2023. So I gander it’s a fairly interchangeable term with little people.
One thing I've learned years ago is people somehow automatically get to assume a moral high ground because of a disability they were born with. They're granted this automatic free pass to being an asshole if they want and nobody is allowed challenge them. I've seen his stuff for a while, and got the vibe that he loves being a perennial victim and he's genuinely not a nice person and everybody's afraid to say it because he's 'adaptive'. Blocking people for himself personally is perfectly fine. But to go out and actively try and take out peoples path to their livelihood because you have a difference of opinion is just being an asshole and there's no other way around it.
God it must be nice to get a free pass to be an asshole!

People are just too damn sensitive about everything. I am 57 and come from the generation that if you talked crap about someone you were probably going to get punched in the face.
