Portraits of the Wives of the last Sultans of the Ottoman Empire Brought to Life using AI Technology

- The Ottoman Empire left an indelible mark on history. Although for a long time it was left without attention, eventually justice prevailed and the incredible success of the cult series "The Magnificent Century" is proof of that.
According to critics, the atmosphere of the series does not quite accurately convey the realities of the Ottoman Empire. As for us, we will focus on how the wives of the last sultans of the empire, which almost brought the whole of Europe to its knees, looked like in real life. After all, behind every decision of even the mightiest man, there is the will of his woman! Кино
Thank you SO much for your videos about the Ottomans and their culture. They were well worth the wait. Wonderful!!
19th centuries ottoman sultan already have photo camera likely it is easy to make them life with AI sultan like abdulhamid ii, mehmet v, mehnet vahedettin etc

Woow😲😲😲. Wonderful video. So amazing to see them in real life.
Fantastic job, well done. Can we have more please?
Can you do the same on Mughal empire and their wives?
The music background is not real Turkish classical music, it seems that it is fiction and made by another culture which is so foreign to the real one or a modernized adaptation workout. There are so many different note arrays in Turkish classical music which have their names according to their features and is a pioneer work to learn them properly and takes years to learn. There are also so many composers have shaped the music during centuries, even after the empire ends off, during republican era, until today. If you get interested in these works, please write "osmanlı saray musikisi" on youtube searching box for ottoman period, and please write ""Türk Sanat Müziği" for the republican era. Thank you for the video. 😊🙋♀️
It would be interesting to see video side by sides of the princesses from your other video with their mothers. I was struck by the family resemblences.
Amazing. It's fascinating that they're all pretty much from exactly the same area - modern day Georgia in the Caucasus.
Good work!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💥💥💥💥💥

For your information the grandmother of Memeth was a Princess 👸 from Serbia whose name was Mara.
There is a documentary on Netflix. Serbian princess Mara is the stepmother of Mehmet II. But she took care of it like her own son. I guess she didn't have kids of her own.
@@unseliorki1395 She didn't have kids. I read in past that Serbian princesses were operated to prevent pregnancy. Excuse my English. I'm Serbian.

It's hard to understand how it was for the Women to stay together, everyone had to love the same Man! 😮
Some loved him so much, they followed him into Exile?! 🤔
The Harem was a School as well, so these Women were educated and some for shure have been Artists.
I wonder how it was to listen their Music. What Paintings would they have made? 😀 👍 👍
They were raised different than us it was not easy for some to share the same man with others..
Majority of these women trapped in harem never loved Sultan,it was necessary that they had to sleep with sultan in order to stay in power,in order to create a better atmosphere or security for their children... they were just s£x sl@ves to Sultan, and most of them were depressed...it's the "historical" dramas that sugarcoat their lives, make it seem enjoyable or passionate...these poor poor women in history had to fight day and night with their other counterparts or competitors to survive their lives and protect their children,so many jealous and depressed hearts captivated in a lavish golden cage where there's no sunshine, where there's no mother or father or siblings, only hazy memories of their family, how they got captivated by these monsters...I feel so bad for them 😣
@@swastikqjana7128 Yes and no.Some women grew up n Harem since their childhood and didn't know any better. The girls got education and other skills there. If they were smart and pretty they were married for a political purpose.Mainly they were protected in Harem. Many documented stories show even if they fled and became eventually single mothers or widows they were welcomed back to live the rest of their lives in Harem.Yes, jealousy and intrigue existed but not more than these days...
Nowhere in the world, you can't leave the Palace you entered as a slave, as a Sultan who rules the world. The opportunity that the Ottomans offered to all women😍

Magníficas animaciones
Cierto, me gustaría ver una de Hürrem
Woow 19th wife of the sultan😲😲😲😲. That's crazy. How do you handle that 😮
Haha so many here request Hürrem Sultan to you here 😁
That was a terrible time for women. Imagine being placed into an arranged marriage and then expected to go into exile with him or suffer other terrible consequences. When people talk about the good old day I wonder which days were they referring to? 17 + wives ? That's ridiculous.
Bullshit, you think this age stuations.
Feminist 🙄
Hahaha, if you think the mofern age is no different, you are wrong. There a study that indicate married men esp in the west has even greater number of sexual affairs even after they are married.
@@abwahidabushah8607 I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a similar study for women. Most people don’t seem to want marriage anymore and would rather hook up, have affairs, etc.
that's not true at all. I understand you are degenerate western and bias ,but they were educated and it is normal for men to have many women. for example you as a western degenerate. why women having one man is bad ,but having many men without marriage is good? or men having many women is good without marriage ?please answer the question straight forward. yes you are degenerate and I can prove that objectively.
in conclusion, you practice polygamy in your society without marriage and with absolute degenerate society and values ,but with marriage it's " wrong" ........
... why?!?! I want you to educate us
Suleiman the Magnificent mother Hafsa Sultan was the most beautiful of all
Circassian women best
In their youthful presentation please
They are all beautiful.
ليه مش بتكتبو الاسماء بالعربي
As I watch these faces , maybe I'm the only one who sees this, but most of all are from noble families and possibly their families sent them to the sultan's harem.
They are different of sultanas , let's say 400-500 years back. The difference is in their beauty.
If one looks at the old times sultanas those were extremely beautiful. This latest aren't.
The reason, in my opinion is the fact, that tatars and others back in those times kidnapped very many girls in east Europe, pirates in Balcans. From these girls the most beautifuls got into harem.
In 1800's this practice was long time over, so less beautiful girls reached the harem.
Thought the woman at the vey very beginning and in the video thumbnail was quite pretty.
All of the Sultan's wives were from royal or nobel families non of them was a slave -although slavery was a social fact at that time- some of them died and some were divorced as he can not keep more than four wives at the same time. One of them was divorced and remarried during his life coz she was a free woman not a slave and can do what she wants.
haha you have ZERO idea about Ottoman history.
@@gabircik
Yes it's truly hard to understand how terrible and disgusting it was to be a woman in these ungodly times.
Set to a perfect musical back ground
2:48 ATTENTION
Abkhazia is GEORGIA !!!!
#MYCOUNTRYOCCUPEDBYRUSSIA
Yes ,your caucacasus region was so opressed(like eastern europeans)
First they were terrorized by mongols and occupied by persian and arabic invaders(that s why you have muslim or islamised people like Abhazia or chechnya)then by ottoman empire and now by soviet and russia which are the same thing, lol
The last wives of the sultan were more feminist and they do not cover the faces and dressed like the Europeans Queens. They adapted to their new life’s. These woman should deserve a new life.
Did he married all of them or were his concubines??
As they didn't get married..
My God, how he remember her wives names????
😂
What's the need of remembering the names ...when *important matters* are being focused successfully. Lol
It should be mentioned that all of them were slaves brought as children to the Ottoman court and educated there. Not from noble families.

3 5 10.. 😅 I don't think you live with all of them at the same time. some women can be concubines.
@@moond7405 actually all were concubines.
Sultan Suleyman was the only King to marry a slave, Hurrem.
Marriage was forbidden for an Ottoman King.
I dont like it they have 13 th wife 19 th wife etc.but at the earlier times they only have 1 or 2 wives .i believe its another reason to collapse for the emperors
Most of them with short hair
Great work but.Horrible music. ( Really shit ) All are out of tune… I turned off the sound and continue…
she is very beautiful 1:06

Why you are constanly using arabic music??? Don't you know that turkish are nothing to do with arabs!!!Beside, Ottoman Empire was commonwealt...
I don’t think this is an Arabic music ..
But it s something oriental
Osmanlı üç kıtada hüküm sürüyordu ve çok uluslu bir yapıya sahipti.
I thought Muslim law only allows four wives ?
Yeah! You are right four wives are allowed but previously concubines were allowed to be with prince and king as many as they want without marraige. But now its not allowed.
@@muskanmubarik4789
Ah I understand, the called all of them wives rather than concubines
@@muskanmubarik4789 By Islamic law it is still allowd to have concubines. Islamic law is for forever, not temporary.

All don't match...🙄from 🇮🇳
not wife, ottoman emperors doesn't marry. unless necessary to marry them and if they marry they can just marry with an a women. dont operate each this two, marriage and concubine. ı'm a historical student in turkey which about ottoman history, sooo you can believe my information.
Ahh my dear Caucasians 😔😔
Sultan Abdulmejid I had 19 wives!?! Damn …. 😳
They were not wives back then. Becoming a wife, requires marriage. And Ottoman Sultan couldn't marry. Yes that was the rule.
So there was concubinage system. These concubines / slaves were considered halal for the Master/King.
He could have sexual relationship with them, have children from them. Actually that was the main purpose of this system to impregnate multiple women in order to get more male heirs, to continue the bloodline and to keep princes ready to ascend the throne.
These Sultans had numerous children from several slaves of his harem.
Hope I conveyed my point 🌸🌸
They are not wives. they are s.. slaves. Harem is a kind bordell and concubines are prostitutes.
If you read story some divorce and other died not all in one time 🙂
And they were 13 not 19
Why'd you change their cultural appearance?? Their hair?? Their dress?? Their accessories???
Why didn't you leave them in their attire as they appear in their captured images?
The one with the exaggerated grey stroke???? You placed it in the wrong place.
This concept is fascinating BUT!!! do not alter their hair & authenticity reflecting their timeline. Takes away 💥A LOT💥 from your production.
We wanna' see what they ACTUALLY looked like. Not some modern-day version!
Most of them are Georgian 🇬🇪 origin, from my country
The fact that almost 99% of women from this video are Georgian 😂

Nowhere in the world, you can't leave the Palace you entered as a slave, as a Sultan who rules the world. The opportunity that the Ottomans offered to all women😍
@@LHgk6778 Think of it as living in that period, how was your own people at that time? Women's rights are not in good condition even today, when women were given rights all over the world, it is considered very new, according to the history of the world. In that period, human life is short, living conditions are terrible, the palace is the only thing you can see in your dreams. a place. We need to learn to think cyclically
@@LHgk6778 As you said, slaves. At that time, slaves saw abuse, rape, hard work, every evil you can think of. Harem is an educational institution, not like in our TV series, women receive the best education and are kept alive in the best way, Sultan chooses their wives for the continuation of the lineage, other girls are married off to Pasha and dignitaries. The best thing that can be offered to a slave.
@@LHgk6778 By the way, where did you get that they didn't like it, Sultans have a lot of love stories. We know the love of Süleyman from correspondence. Sultan Süleyman spent only 4 years of his reign in the palace. Sultans were marrying Turkish girls, but he was inheriting the treasury and office. The girl's family was having troubles. There is the Sultan who fell in love with a Turkish girl and was sentenced to marry a slave.
Yes yes....a great oppurtunity 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭
@@ilbilgehatun278 yes, maybe they were provided and didnt live I poverty ,so it s just about survival not happiness or love which existed even in ancient times between young men and boys and girls and young women

how a muslim can marry 20+!!! is he a muslim??
Yeah they were muslims. In this video they called wifes, womans who should be radher called concubines. Sultans and princes were allowed to have harem. There were situations that sultan felt in love with concubine and married her but he had one max two wifes at the same time and harem
I don't think you live with all of them at the same time. some women can be concubines.
Its not marriage (they called it wrong)
Its slave / concubines system
