- Sultanate of Women - A 150-year period in the Ottoman Empire when women close to the reigning sultans-mothers, wives, daughters and consorts-exercised exceptional power, often determining domestic policy, negotiating with foreign governments, and acting in the role of regent, as well as leaving architectural monuments to their success.
Let's use artificial intelligence technology to see what these fragile and powerful women could look like.
I wish you a pleasant viewing!

Although Hürrem sultan is way more known, Mahpeyker Kösem sultan is true Women Sultan, she ruled for very long time periodicly sometimes as power behind throne (Husband's Ahmet I. and Elder Son's Murat IV. Reins) sometimes she literly reined supreme (Recency for her elder son Murad IV, grandson Mehmet IV. and Her younger Son İbrahim I. the insane's reins) she truly put a hugee mark on Ottoman history
there is not just about her sons. but even daughtes
thanks to her daughters´ and theyre politic wedding coud be an able consolidate her power.
leslie perci demonstarted that exist more than 8 list who let kosem to sent her gran vezir.
daughters´kosem according to historans:
gevherhan and ayse-guhman borekci demonstarted that 15.3.1605 is marked about eldest daughters kosem gevherhan and ayse- which questions born of aye in december 1605 because marked about her is from 3.1605 propably she was born as a twin sehzade mehmed.
gevherhan was born propably in 1603 because her mother(kosem) became haseki in january 1604 afther what she was returned from her exepeled to old palace.
exept mention about two daughters and one son- gevherhan, mehmed and ayse. are mention in 1606 about an another son and another daughter.
many historians said that fatma was born 1605 or 1606. leslie perci also demonstrated born an another son.
what is interesting is that baki tezcan found 24.5.1606 kosem started got 500 akce.
privy purse demonstarted that afther what woman in harem get born sehzade or sultan started get 100 akce which was also confirmed many hstorians:
24.5.1606 500 akce for 5 children
guhman borekci 15.3.1605 marked about gevherhan and ayse daughters kosem
baki tezcan 8.3.1605 marked about mehmed
fatma sultan propably 1606
leslie perci(str.101)
"osman let executed mehmed, 1621(in nushle). mehmed was at that time only year and half younger than sultan"
historians.:
osman b.4.11.1604
perci this sehzade was one and half year yonger than sultan self.
while mehmed was born 8.3.1605. tezan said that one and half year birth afther osman is exact 24.5.1606- when kosem got 500 more akce than before. afther what second born son and third daughter were born
gevherhan 1603, mehmed and ayse 8.3.1605, fatma and unnamed son 24.5.1606(500 akce)
an another daughters´:
daughter 1607(necdet sakaoglu)
daughter 1608married three times exepled by murad IV his brother(necdet skaoglu)
daughter 1609(leslie perci)
daughter 1610(necdet sakaoglu
there is mention about handzade but date is unsure, same as a atike born between 1612-1614, and there is appearence and another daughter ummugulsun.
some historans spekulated that she had a daughter whose died march 1612.
an another possible daughters´
cemre 1616-1620.
ps mehmed sureya in sicilii osmany said that daughter born 1616 survived. but leslie perci said that she died 1620. while suyerra said that she survived.there could be an another daughter who died 1620 zahide. perci said that zahide sultan b.1613-1620. it is possible that she could doit mystake in identification an another daughter kosem zahide
perci said ibrahim I was born 1615, that cemre is an yongest daughter (child ahmed I ad kosem) born afther ibrahim I. baki tezcan said that it is not a truth. because ibrahim was born 1617. according to yilmaz oztuma is an yongest child ahmed I daughter ubeyde who was born afther dead her fater 1618
when you reading carrefully as well as I do there is a mention about at least 13th daughters´ of kosem. while historians identified daughter kosem at least in every year. vonn hammer said that greeck woman kosem gave birth her daugters´every year.
wow
percie tere exist more than 8 letters sent kosem her grand vezir. which mean that she had more than 8 daughter.
according to my personality reaserch she could had 7 own sons. and 13th daughters.
20th children together
@@sarkalakoma2228 well I’m not sure she had almost 20 but it is true she had at least 13 children. Only the ones that got to the throne or adulthood are mentioned in the show which only showed 8 children. There’s speculation that suleyman who was executed with bayezid by murad was kosem’s son and he must’ve been around 20 at the time of death. He was born 1613-1615 so possibly before kasim
Mihrimah and hurrem both lived 56 years 😮
Just how pretty mihrimah is.....
But she's still the second prettiest girl in the ottoman empire. Mahid evran was the prettiest. I wonder how pretty she was.
Ye Mihirmah nahi turhan sultan he
Every other sultanas here gained power and becomes influential after having the valide title
But Hurrem didn't even have the valide title and she gained her influence during the reign of her husband. And her husband reign's also known as the golden age of ottoman empire🫶🏾
Hurrem is the best💆🏼♀️
Non mi piace qul mondo violento, quel periodo storico le donne di potere era ben poco considerata si sono mosse sempre col benestare degli uomini. L'unica donna di vero potere è stata la regina Elisabetta l d'Inghilterra. Concubbine =escort!!
Hey rody
Hurrem is the bedrock of ottoman collapse
Thank u
No she isn’t
@@keroo7 she isnt, suleiman chose his drunkard son as a sultan, that was a reason for weak kings
@@bruhno1545 hey bruhno1545
No
Thank u
Hurrem looks like gulbahar from the series
Do you mean Gulnihal?
@@MissSlovakia2 that’s the one
Mihrimah looks beautiful in both versions original painting and AI, whereas Safiye and Mahpeyker are much prettier with the AI mode
Kosem was a beautiful woman , she was said to be one of the prettiest woman at the time , with her dark long hair and even at her death at 62 years old she still looked good

An important sultana is missing??? Halime sultan! She was queen mother TWICE ! The only one to hold this power TWICE ! She ruled for her son Mustafa I while he was mentally instable...she was the next queen mother after Handan... She was even more powerful...
But her power was less than 2 years lol 😂
Where is Mara Branković ❤?
@@njuska7That's Sultan Mehmed II stepmother.
Great work! Beautiful
This music is just perfect ! I feel myself in that period via this jsjs😀
THE LADY WHOSE SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE HURREM LOOKS JUST LIKE THE GIRL PLAYING HURREM'S BEST FRIEND...LOL...
Kosem the definition of power 🎉🎉🎉
I like hurrem sultana she's very brave women, she do to protect his children , and her love to the sultan
That's Kosem
So Wonderful to see them came back in life😲😲😲😲
Being an Ottoman Sultan is unique too. A little inflation doesn't hurt.
wdym
Kosem and turhan 😍😍😍
Handan looks very grown up for a 2 year old 😂
huh?
Marimarah sultan paid for the ships for her brother Salim the drunk. Not Suleiman the magnificent as told here
Hürrem sultan is the most powerful sultan and founder of women's reign
Kosem was the most powerful Sultana! Hurrem never had a word in politics or anywhere! The most memorable thing we remember from Hurrem is plotting against Shehzade Mustafa along with Rustem Pasha her son in law to kill him!
@@ntenimarkorareincarnation4182Don’t just watch a tv show, but read some history! ‘Couse your very ignorant!
@@TheMarusya1982 My words are based on history not on tv show! The tv shows show give justice to Hurrem's crimes and doesn't portray how powerful Suleiman was or how powerful and independent Mihrimah was that she followed her father Suleiman in war campaigns!
@@ntenimarkorareincarnation4182 true but Hurrem was very influential in politics (by history), she was also one of the most powerful women in the sultanate, also known as its creator. Accordingly the Ottoman History, and Topkapi Palace, Hurrem was the 2nd strongest sultana and mihrimah the 3rd, then there comes the other. The 1st strongest was Kosem, after all she was a strong regent and a loyal and loved ruler of the Ottoman Empire, known for her title. Please do some research about history MORE CLOSELY.
@@ntenimarkorareincarnation4182 And also, Hurrem is the Creator of the Sultanate, shes done more things than just kill a prince and after all it was to protect her own children. Being a sultana is not easy, you have to make sure one of your sons succeds to the throne so its your win. You must understand that Hurrem wasnt weak, she was extremely smart and strong, very intelligent. Without Hurrem, the era of the other sultanas that were powerful wouldnt exist. Because she is the one who started "the path" so they can "walk through it" and gain power. In conclusion, without Hurrem, no sultana would EVER be as strong as they r said to be in History. Hurrem is the reason all of the Sultanas were strong and had respect from people, she is a VERY IMPORTANT FIGURE IN OTTOMAN HISTORY that cant be forgotten. Hurrem was also the first haseki sultana and was fighting the strongest men in her century, even also having influence over her husband. He loved her very much. !!! THIS IS OTTOMAN HISTORY ACCORDING TO TOPKAPI, ALSO RESEARCH FROM THERE !!!!
Wow! Handan got the best deal, I didn't know she got her family back.
However, the series shows that she comitted suicide. I hope its false, Handan was pretty, yeah pretty successful.
Clearly, Safiya's the most beautiful in the AI reconstruction..... However, records say it was Handan or Turhan.
Beautiful
Hurrem Sultan! ❤❤
Mihrimah is very beautiful..hurrem's beauty comes down to mihrimah..She is of mixed Russian and Turkish descent... naturally her face is very pretty...
If you really think about it there is not much Turkish.. Almost all the mothers were European decent... Hurram was Ukrainian, safia was from Venice, kossem was greek, from the time of Beyazid 1 onwards.. So by the time ofMurmarah not much of Turkish😊

Hurrem sultan ❤
Hurrem sultan best❤️😇😍
nice but why did you use the arabic music on the background? Ottoman was not arab

Please Do The Emperor's And Empress Of Mughal Dynasty Of India.. We Indians Would love to Watch.. Plzzzz, HUGE REQUEST..
Looks like rose from titanic sj
А Хандан султан 2 года по вашему жила?
Of course not. This is the period in which Handan Sultan is Valide Sultan. If sourses are right and her son Ahmed I becomes a Sultan on the age of 14, then Handan age durring reign of her son has been between 30 and 35. Historical scentists says that Handan dies in the year 1605, because of illness. She has been young, that is for sure.
They all had very little actual Turkish blood
@@QuantumGamingUploads they had none at all
Why are they all referred to as "he" in the descriptions? They arent men 🙄
Hurrem and mihirmah is so beautiful mother and daughter ❤
these parents are incorrect, they still have their koffins intact in Istanbul as they arent buried but have tombs and mausoleums, why not take DNA straight from there and reconstruct their faces? Hope turkey government lets them do it
Why do most of them have red hair? The picture of Hurrem and her image don't look alike at all.
Hürrem was a redhead. That is true in all history books.
hurrem is redhead, and thats why in europe, they call her roxelana not hurrem
Jennifer Lopez female ancestor 5:21
Kösem was Greek.
Hurrem sultan is preetiest, smartest and most powerful Queen.
@@QuantumGamingUploadsSorry but I can't find where and when did I asked for your opinion. And it's show not shoe.
@@QuantumGamingUploads Your auto correction system is just like you. Ridiculous.
@@QuantumGamingUploads If you wanna give opinion feel free to do it in comment section. Don't poke your comment on others comment. Have a little bit shame.
Their portraits are fictitious .
Hürrem's description is based on a painting by Tizian. Both Hürrem and Suleyman were the most realistic, besides Mehmed II Fatıh Sultan.
Most are of Greek or Armenian descent
صفية أجمل من نوربانو
The beginning of an end! They were killing each others and other poor girls! What a crippled house was that ottoman place!? Full of unjust!
Well, the European royal and princely houses were no better either.
@@bayramaktas4135it's not okay tu justify bad acts, just because other people also did them
@@emmadora7848 I'm not justifying it,I'm just saying that it was like that everywhere at the time.
So was nurbanu italian?? I mean venetians were italians
@@QuantumGamingUploads that was right I guess because there were many Greek majority islands in the hand of italians
Historical sources had two hypotheses: either she was taken from rich, Venetian merchants who were Christian or Jewish.
Sultanate of women -begining of the fall
Exactly, it only prospered in the sultanate of Kosem sultan and his son Murad IV.

Hurrum is best

Kosem was the most powerful Sultana of all!
Hurrem
They were all powerful in their times and saw thru some changes also without them there is the question how much longer the ottemans would lasted if not for them
