So while it’s easy to trash-talk each other’s cultures here on RUclips, before you do I think you should know that many more Americans than you can imagine are into “good” techno and not the shit that Ellen’s audio guy played on the show. I love hip-hop and other genres, too, but don’t want to hear any one genre all the time, and being a professional musician I’m generally very picky about what I listen to, and I know that many other Americans feel the same way. Unfortunately, the crap that gets played on American radio is not reflective of a huge sector of the population.
Berlin is THE place to party. You just have to know where to go. And yes, be prepared, the crowd can be wild, crazy, bizarre or just gay and shameless. And please, if you´re not willing to join in and just want to look at "different people"...just stay outside and watch the crowd waiting in line to get in. If you´re ready for an experience like Claire described, just go with the flow...and don´t be too upset about what you´re about to experience ;-))
