It is sort of sad as she would not meet Frannie perhaps ever while being in exile. She also doesn't catch a break when she is clearly past her breaking point with the spy craft.
Saul's home life is wrecked but he has retired from field work to CIA officer to NSA adviser. He might stay on as the professor or pass the baton to another American asset. Ironically, Carrie would have been the Professor but ending up becoming the Russian asset herself. I don't see it lasting too long as Yevgeny can just lock her up without her pills and she'll start singing like a canary.

Fridolin Fridolin sorry I didn’t mean that it was a sad ending but that I was so sad that this was the series finale. I love this series and was so happy to see that this final season was not all about Carrie’s bipolar. Poorly written on my part.
Claire Danes is so refreshing and wise in the choices that she has made for her talents-
Claire Danes and Mandy were meant to play together. Homeland brought the best out of each of them and kept us riveted for 9 yrs!!! Who else could do that. A remarkable pair with outstanding writing in each show. I spent 9 yrs hating to see the screen go black!! Thank you all for the BEST show on TV in my 71 years!!!

Never saw Homeland because we didn't have Showtime, but now thanks to Hulu and more free time, I'm getting caught up! I'm on season 3 and love it! Claire is wonderful!

Homeland was one of the best ever shows on TV.
I thought she was absolutely brilliant as Carie. Kept me riveted for 8 seasons and left me panting for more. I loved the finale. Ended the series beautifully. Who knows. Maybe we will get a little more.
I am hoping for a full length motion picture to pick up where the finally left off.

Been a huge fan of Claire Danes since the 90s. I was also 14 at the time that My So Called Life came out and I loved it. I'll really miss Homeland but I'll definitely be watching whatever is next for her.
Claire Danes is hands down my favorite actress. Ever since "My so called life" which i've watched several times throughout my life. She is also the kind of actress that EVERY emotion shows on her face. Man, when she cries or is upset, I feel it - totally!! She is the best and I will never tire of watching her on screen. NEVER!

When it was over, I smiled! All series will be judged against Homeland's standard for me...and start with being 2nd best. I have watched the 12th episode of season 8 four times already hoping to find a way to ride this rollercoaster again! Ahhhhhh, what a ride....thanks Claire and friends!!

Claire is an amazing actress. I followed her career since the beginning and she never disappoints. I would like to thank the whole “Homeland” crew for a gripping and entertaining series. It felt like real life was imitating art. The ending was spectacular!!! I would like to see a follow-up series with Frannie as a young lady reading her mom’s book with each chapter turning into an episode of the follow-up series, “Tyranny of Secrets.”

I just finished jam watching 7seasons this past week cause I so missed watching homeland for the last 4 years because NZ TV stopped showing this show. I love Clair Danes she really can act . She reminded me of me on homeland with all the losses of all the people she loved in her life and having to deal with post traumatic stress disorder and the highs and lows of BiPolar I cried every time she went through all her losses on homeland so real to me. Well done to the people who created homeland and to Claire Danes

Claire Danes is a class act. Been an admirer of her work going all the way back to the Fall of 1994, when I stumbled upon the first few episodes of a 'little' show on ABC called My So Called Life. Being so young at the time, I could relate to the character she played. She truly is a wonderful actress and seems like a genuinely decent person.

Wonderful actress... even in the seasons of Homeland that were muddled. This final season ended in fine fashion...Saul and Carrie still each other's most significant other.
