I just saw an interview they did when Passport to Paris came out, they were thirteen-ish. They discussed that it was their first on screen kiss, but they both said it was not their first actual kiss. Also, Ashley's lips (at least her bottom lip) is fuller. When Mary-Kate smiles her top lip is thin. As they got older on Full House (the last 3 seasons) it's easier to tell them apart.

It's weird because In some photographs they have a 'haunted' appearance and look way older than their age but they both look nice here and seem like normal people, I was always jealous of their hair as a teenager

Love their style! They don't follow trends and don't show off their bodies to appear sexy. Mary-Kate has a more eccentric style; Ashley has a more polished, classic look.
I think you already said the key difference - photos. If you mostly see someone in still form, you're missing the essence within their motions. Once I just saw this video, all of their mannerisms showed up and it was kinda like when I was a kid watching all their movies again
It seems like maybe they've had some work done on their faces, they have a similar look as older female celebrities such as Meg Ryan whose face really changed now that she's older. Look up "Celebrities Before and After Plastic Surgery Disasters" and you'll see more extreme versions of it, but their faces have that look.

It's so easy to tell them apart. Marykate seems more serious and mellow, while Ashley seems to be friendlier and more upbeat. I remember hearing how Marykate was often difficult to work with on Fullhouse. :P

Wow I was so shocked to see them doing a tv interview! I swear I haven't seen one in a long time. And I know MK has been doing some acting but I haven't really kept up with it. In definitely watching Ellen when it comes on today so I can see the whole interview. I love how they are doing what they love which is beauty and fashion but I would LOVE to see them act together again. I would love to see one big cheesy twin movie with them, Tia & Tamara, Dylan and cole sprouse and hell throw in Lindsay Lohan and make her work twice as hard just for the fun of it LOL.

Hello Ellen, I love your show. I was hoping some people could see this. My 5 year old son has been playing music for only 2 months (drums, keyboards, guitars) and he did a song called “It’s time to party”. He's quite a little character and it would be great if a few people could see the video. I realize most people ignore comments, but I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it
