I fucking love this song! I'm back to watching Josh Steffen videos at night again, and ofcourse it doesn't help me sleep. But you know one thing I like about your cover videos? That you have one camera setup and focus on the actual playing and the music. You don't overdo it completely with the video, adding hundreds of camera angles and smoke effects and shit. Keeping it simple like this is the way to go I think. It's really about the music. And you have great taste in some nice 90's metal!

Thanks! When I hit down I hit again on the way back up. Plus sticks make a difference. Maple or oak sticks are heavy and shocky, hickory is light and absorbent. Plus using wood tip seems to help with speed, but I miss the brightness of nylon tip. That help? And practice! Send me a private message and I can explain further.

Promark 747 A wood tip (Neil pearts) are my choice, they are tough and you can get a bright sound from them. They are a little longer than most sticks maybe a half of an inch but once I got used to that they are the best sticks I've used. My pops always swore by them so I guess it's a family thing 😂 but to each their own.
