Jungkook that did the solo part is the main vocalist of the group. This vocalist abilities are insane. He is also a dance and sometimes raps.
They don’t lipsync when they perform live, they have a backing track but they always sing live. If you watch their live performances, you’d hear their live vocals, anyone who thinks otherwise are just purposefully being daft. They train hard to make sure they have stamina and breath control which is not unusual, since you have the likes of Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and other performers being able to sing and dance. Also all their songs have English translations available online. Don’t know why you pulled the Korean one lol.

Jordan Green I’m replying to his comment about how they must be during live performances. They haven’t done performances recently that have lipsync?! I’ve seen most of the recent CB stages and guest appearances and almost all their live videos. They may have in the past.
Jordan Green most of their performances are live and I’ve never seen one where they lip sync, plus BTS are bad at lip syncing so if they were to do it you would notice a lot

Finally, Someone asked! I was trying to figure out why they are looking at lyrics and translations when this MV had Captions. Thought I was missing something!
The younger one is dyslexic, it's hard enough for him to read a paragraph, what more to moving lines. Instead, they focus on the visuals 1st, then the lyrics afterwards.

They rarely lip sync in their live performances. Yeah it’s hard as hell to sing and dance live at the same time, but they’ve been doing it for more than 7 years, even in their training days.

2:08 Understandable 'cause Jungkook is so versatile in every aspect, like in singing, dancing, and even appearance that he looks like a totally different person in BTS's every music video. So most of the non-BTS fans, even some new fans, don't recognize him easily. I bet the same goes for you. Actually, I think it'll be fun if you play the "Recognize Jungkook" game when you watch other BTS videos.
FYI, Jungkook is the youngest BTS. He's the main vocalist, i.e., DA VOCALIST, of the band. Sometimes he raps, too. He's also one of the top three dancers of the band. He's a good painter, athlete, photographer, and video producer. That's why he has "golden" in his nickname - Golden Maknae ("The youngest that is golden"). And of course, he stands out and is one of the most beloved.
On a side note, Jungkook is a little shy at first so it takes him some time to break the ice.

He plays such an important role with the most lines and being in the center of the formations most of the time. You may want to react to "Jungkook is good at everything" cuz he really is... 😊 he also helps Jimin, V, and Jin with their vocals and gives them advice as the main singer of the group.

In BTS case different MV, different song also different member who got more screen time, idk how to explain it bcs i'm bad in english 😂 i mean in different song they got one different member who stand out or having more screen time and it happend almost in every song they have. In black swan, suga stand out in vocal and rapp while jimin in live perform, in mic drop Jhope and RM are the pillars. So for us the fans we equally love 7 of them 💜

7 members is not too much, if you look back at your family there’s probably more than 7 people right ? (Grandmother , grandfather , grandchildren wives etc etc etc) you guys know the people you know by name and face because you see them all the time and you know them. How come teachers can memorize 30 kids names ? Doesn’t matter how many members there are when you get to know them then you will know their names face and even voice.
There is no “more popular” person in BTS, everyone gets a chance to shine and everyone gets to do things on their own style.
In music videos artists do not sing that’s up to the audio because it’s a music video they need to use high quality without white noises, any kind of artist does that it’s not new and it’s common. What’s uncommon is for artist to actually sing in their mv.

I’m sorry but why did u guys not search for the English lyrics😂 First of all, all bts members are loved equally and should be. Bts is made up of 7 members and all Armys should love and support all 7 of them. We don’t consider toxic solo stans as Army. We do have our bias and bias wrecker but we all appreciate them the same amount😄 Second, some of them have more lines than others, that’s why u guys might have noticed some members more than others. Most of the time, Jungkook (main vocal and dance line) gets most lines. However, the rest of the members also get similar amount of lines. If they don’t have lines in one song they will have in the rest of the album, so it also heavily depends on the song. Most people get into Bts by one specific member but later on when we get to know all of them, we all know that all of them are important and needed to make bts complete. Anyways, if u guys get time please react to “who is bts? The seven members of bangtan” to get to know them. They have great personalities that help each other and fill in lacking parts of each member to make a complete group. U guys should get to know them cuz the way u see them will change completely. ALSO, they always sing live at least 8~90% of the song and quite often they sing 100% of the song live. They do have backup vocals for some parts of the song (mostly singing, barely for rapping) but still u can hear their live vocals. The thing with them is that u can tell if they are lip syncing cuz they are pretty damn bad at it (I also think they purposely make it obvious so that we know). Loved your reaction, but I think it would be better if you read the lyrics in English or turn the subtitles on. Also, believe it or not BTS sing live all the time, but actually I totally understand why you would not believe that they sing live. I myself doubted their ability when I first got to know them back in 2017. Anyways, these guys are more than capable of performing a 3-hour-long shows and singing +23 songs with intense choreography without missing a single note. They tend to practice 12-13 hours a day to improve their singing while dancing, and their hard work really pays off.
Someone tell them to turn on the subtitles, so they can enjoy it more.

1) Big Hit always puts English Subtitles on their MVs, so click on the CC button (fyi if it says auto-translation then they are fake). 2) if you look up English translations on (genius lyrics) - it will say English translations on the right hand side (click on it) you just have to look for it. 3) you might want to watch some of your comments - ARMY can be triggered. I know you guys are trying, so my advice would be to watch: Who are BTS: the seven members of bangtan; Crash course to BTS; from nobodies to legends 2019; and Introduction to BTS Episodes 1-8. Also, it is a music video so they will lip sync ( as will any musician), live though - they sing live sometimes with a backing track but it is live. They are known for their live singing and how great it is while they dance.
Kpop groups have designated "roles" for their members. The ones tho had the most centre-screen time are Jungkook (high note bridge part) and Jimin (started the song) who are the main and lead vocalists respectively. So they usually have the most parts in songs. Jungkook is also a "center" of the group, so he's always gonna have more centre time. Also, the youngest members are usually the most popular too (Jimin, Jungkook and V).
For BTS the positions are (main > lead):
*RM* - main rapper and leader of the group (responsible for the group)
*Jin* - vocalist
*SUGA* - lead rapper
*J-Hope* - rapper and main dancer
*Jimin* - lead vocalist and main dancer
*V* - vocalist and dancer
*Jungkook* - main vocalist, lead dancer and the center.
As far as the members go, all of them can sing (even the rappers), so it's not like one member is less talented than the other. That's why they're the whole package. All of them sing, rap, dance, and look good doing it while also being philanthropists and as close as a family while remaining humble. The fandom doesn't appreciate solo stans because oftentimes they are toxic, attacking other members of the group to try and bring their idol up. Most fans do have biases (favorite members) and bias-wreckers, but that doesn't mean they like any of the other members less. Every member of the group has different talents and plays an important role in the group.

Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop **
1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers
2. Bts compose and produce their own music, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc
3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) have to read a several books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul:persona" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Jung.
4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble.
5. They have a lot of genres and you can find subtitles in every possible language.
6. They training to dance ,singing and rapping and they live performance no lip sync, you should react BTS live performance i suggest

BTS is Kpop. Kpop is a coined word by the western media, in Korea they are called Idols. Idol is a culture not a genre. Just like a culture, Idols have very unique characteristics. It is the androgynous look, mish mash of genre, elaborate choreo, clothing style and korean mixed with some english. So stop saying BTS is not kpop. BTS being korean artists have nothing to do with Kpop, those two are not and should not be mutually exclusive.. They are Korean artists who are idols.

BTS MV’s have subtitles so you can turn on the CC’s to read English translations. NO musician ever actually sings on MV’s. BTS always sing during live performances. They use backing tracks sometimes when they have difficult choreography but they are still singing live.

I was fortunate to see them live last year in Chicago and they did all the intense choreo and sang live (with backing tracks - but their vocals were VERY clear and louder than the backing tracks). They work very hard to have the stamina and breath control to do such, but they obviously do not sing live during video filming as was noted because the audio would not work out... they are notorious for not having their lips in sync in the videos, especially RM... LOL... that is just their way. When LIVE, it is the best performance I have ever experienced in my 49+ years.... Thanks again for reacting. The MV features the UCLA marching band, a gospel choir, the 19-year old choreographer Sienna Lalau and an LA dance troupe. All, not BTS, not Kpop, but ALL music videos where the artist is seen to be “singing” in the video is filmed by having the artist lip sync to the song as it is played. The song is already finished by they time a music video is shot for it, how else can the artist act, dance, or sing for the filming of it otherwise. It’s actually how music videos are filmed. Audio from the filming is muted and the track is laid on top of the video. That you can see their mouthing not matching the words you’re hearing shows that they are not good at lip syncing. Also look at the location, it’s a huge expanse which will affect how the sound travels to them which in turn will affect how well they sync.

Next time you want translations, search for Doolset Lyrics + Name of the song. Doolset is a blog where they don't only translate the lyrics but add notes when there is a cultural reference o a reference to a previous song. It's one of the best you will find.

@Sophie biasland x I am fan of both too and I heard Michael singing those high note and there is some similarity. I mean i am not talking about totally similar because Michael never use much of his pitch voices unless the song required. But Jungkook use it a lot. Go listen to some of Jungkook songs like the Christmas song or "My Time" from the NEW album and you will see what i mean.
