The original Mic drop doesn’t have that most English in it, but the Steve Aoki version does so they could reach the American audience during that time and have it be played on the radio or in the clubs.
Agree. In my opinion, mic drop original version is way better than the remix and has better lyrics compared to the added English lyrics. It's just my personal preference.
I personnaly prefer the steve aoki version because RM english rap was amazing. And the English lyrics blend really well with the vibe of the song.

To really understand the cypher series you have to listen and understand the beef between the rap line of Bts and BFree. This is where the dynamic series of the ciphers came about. Otherwise I feel like someone is just going to take the series as another gangsta rap. You have to really understand it from beginning to end.
Ddeng is a must , and better with another youtuber DKDKTV for lyrics interpretation . master piece.

I feel like he cant pick a bias without knowing their offstage personalities. Watch Who is BTS: the 7 members or watch a helpful guide to BTS to ACTUALLY see what BTS is like. They're literally like a big family, you'll be surprised what you find
I agree...I remember falling for V at the beginning, not knowing the members too well....and now that I got to know a lot more, my bias is Hobi, and Jin right a little step behind him

I don't think that kpop is getting bigger and bigger, because it's only BTS who are getting bigger actually and in an organic way.
bangtan legends yeah maybe not too much now but in the next year’s I think thanks too them the other group will potentially be recognized too because bts breaks all the the walls and pave the way for the other, like the collab of Monsta x and French Montana...
Quite a few other groups are getting bigger actually but I do agree that for some of them, it feels forced from their companies. I wanted to mention a couple in particular but Imma shut up ;) The ones I think are doing a great job promoting in America and quite naturally are Monsta x and Stray Kids.
@@JumpingMuffinGirl I'm not sure if you'd call Monsta X organic when they're not making Korean songs anymore, they made a whole english album instead of a few English lyrics, they're losing their roots in order to appeal to the west which is sad 🤷 you don't have to agree but that's my opinion

To be honest kpop was famous before because of Gangnam style so kpop was famous before bts managed to finally get noticed after years of hard working
Shadow goes into the concept that is talked about in the book Jung's map of the soul. In which they talk about the idea that every person is made up of three parts the persona, (which is your public face what your friends know you to be what the outside world knows you to be what if you're famous with your fans know you to be) your Shadow, (which of the parts of yourself that scare you the parts of yourself that you don't want to acknowledge that you hide) and then there's your ego, (who you know yourself to be as well as your reason). And they now actually have three rap songs called persona, Shadow, and ego. The I am you you are me part of the song is his shadow talking to hispersona to the parts of himself he doesn't want to acknowledge and the parts of himself he shows the world....

It has been so amazing to watch the growth of BTS. I saw them in a fantastic but no-frills concert in Anaheim in 2017 (the lack of funds was pretty obvious). Two years later they're rockin' the Rose Bowl with all the stops pulled out. One thing that didn't change is the high quality of their music production and the relatability of their lyrics. Big Hit did it right when they gave them so much freedom with their music as well as in showing themselves as real people (not pedestal idols) to the fans.

That song has a psychological meaning about oneself behind it. Shadow is the ego of the self. It can the dark side of you, can stay inferior or could swallow you whole. That can make YOU change, good or bad. What he was saying is be careful...there should be a balance of your dreams and inner desire so as not to ruin oneself.

I think that Yoongles is saying is that the fame they earned cost them a lot of things in their life, and the more famous BTS became, pain and struggle came along with it.
