I love Ddang! But the Cyphers are awesome too for someone who might like to hear more rap battle type flows . In all honesty they don’t really miss for me.
"Outro: Tear" for the rapline live! Or the cypher medley from 2017. Love "Ugh" too! Ddaeng is amazing, but difficult to get the full greatness of the wordplay with explanation video. For RM I would probably show him "Joke" to flaunt of his speed and flow changes. For Yoongi I'd show either "AgustD" or maybe "First Love" or "The Last" to switch it up and show a different side. For J-hope I personally love "Boy Meets Evil".
Uh, just had an idea! You could also show him Persona, Shadow and Ego since they're all linked and says a lot about BTS, their album, their ideas behind it, the brilliance.
Eh idk these copypasta statements are rather limiting and putting them in a box imo... They've all shown moments where each of them has done all three things...
@@taen_y Oh, absolutely. However, I do think that with that recognition and when taken in the context of them forming the Rap Line of BTS, it shows the what they work together to achieve.
Agust D is not only songwriter and composer, but producer of his own music. He is usually credited for keyboard/piano and synthesizer in his songs as well and he is always behind the concepts of his MVs
"Daechwita" is not just a diss, it is so much deeper on psychological level and has so many historical references. Since you don't know his language and many things are lost in the translation i recommend you to check out explanation by Bookish theories to understand it. Agust D also explained this song - he said that king represents who he was and another name of king is anger. Black-haired guy represents who he is now. This song is about the conflict inside him and he talks about this subject in many songs
Definitely, but he asked about the “popping pills” line specifically and I genuinely wanted his first-watch reaction. There will definitely be more discussion with him about this song! He knows it means the world to me
The songs I wish you would have made him listen were TEAR, Ddaeng, Cypher series, Ugh, Rm's Mono mixtape (I cannot pick one from it cos they are all insanely good) People by Suga and Aeroplane by Jhope. In my opinion these would have given him a better understanding of the variety in genres and the subtleties in each of their rap styles.
Why MONO, I mean Mono is categorized as HipHop but RM1 and Monster shows what he’s truly capable of in terms of actual rapping, like showing off his flow, cadence, and wordplay and what not, while Mono just shows his clever lyrical abilities and wordplay plus his underrated vocals, both mixtapes are drastically different and showcase different sides of him.
@@RM-of2oz Are you serious? Mono might be officially tagged under the "hip hop" genre but if you actually listened to it and his lyricism in it, there is no other work of his that shows his versatility and musicality. The entire "Mono" mixtape of his has sub genres ranging between a soft mix of electronic, indie, hip-hop and R&B. He is more than a rapper just hitting bars and using word play. His typical sound usually comprises of fast spitfire rapping and powerful attacks which is impressive. However, RM as a musician has also mastered the art of slowing it all way down and Mono stands as a proof of it. What he is "truly capable" of isn't just hard hitting rap alone, which is exactly what he wanted to show the world through Mono. He mentioned that in an interview that it was pure raw emotions and himself he poured into his mixtape.
@@BrookeMorrison Is he more into lyrics/meaning than speed/flow? Because it'd be cool to show of some of BTS rap skills and their lyrical skills, but the recommendation would be based on his preference.

I really have two moods Daechwita and Seesaw. I still can’t believe that both songs were written, produced and sang by the same person, Suga/Agust D is really the best
Suga is especially vocal about people getting into illegal drugs to help inspire there art. His best friend begore BTS who was also a rapper and who dreamed about going to seoul and getting big in the rapscene together. I love everything he said about crediting your influences which reminds me of an earlier BTS track called HipHop Phile where they tell their stories of how they started rapping through the influences of different rap legends both American and Korean. Enjoyed hearing his thoughts!! And I appreciate the way you introduce everything to your guests. Just enough detail. He is SPOT ON with what ultimately makes something cultural appropriation. If you’re borrowing pieces of a culture, you have to show respect, which is often done through inclusion and/or outright education. Rap as a form of expression transcended its origin and became a genre of music, which is why [as your friend said] rappers and fans of rap are welcoming its adaption by others worldwide. As with other styles of music, emulating sounds of the past inherently shows appreciation and respect. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to make a reference, or discuss it in liner notes and interviews. Musical legends have borrowed from legends before them. It’s all love - just gotta be upfront if you’re questioned about it.
Also, the traditional Korean instruments you hear in Daechwita and all those elements you see is a criticism on people who said that BTS were not kpop anymore and they were westernizing their music and essence just by trying new things etc

I get that, but since I know A-OH very well, and the fact that he comes from mainstream radio, these were the songs I knew he’d resonate with most. Especially with Becky G being in CNS (since he knows her personally). I thought very long and hard before choosing these. Thank you for watching! 💜
For RM not really but for JHope yes. People never react to songs of Namjoon’s first mixtape, and it’s sad because that’s the album that shows what he’s truly capable of the most. I think their would have been a better song by JHope tho
I love how the rapline usually has the 4 pillars of old school hiphop. The rapper, the dj, the bboy (dancer), and the graffiti. Always showing respect to the foundation!
I love these videos where you introduce people who may not be familiar with BTS’s music and get their reaction to it. You are so great at selecting songs for them to listen to because you keep in mind that it’s their first time listening to the song or BTS. You’re ARMY so you know a lot of little details that any other fan would be bursting at the seams to share with the person, but you don’t overwhelm your guest and let them listen/take it in. And sure, after reading other people’s know-it-all comments in your comment sections, there are “other” songs for the guest could have listened to, but there will ALWAYS be “other” songs because while most songs are generally enjoyed, a song can hit different for different people. Can’t please everybody with what you choose to share with others. I think you’re doing a fantastic job, and I hope to see him again in another video one day!
I am so in love with you and this comment I wish I could “love” it 100 times! 🥺 You are spot on with the fact that, while there may be a TON of songs I could show him, I had to think long and hard about what he would resonate with most. These 3 songs mean a lot to me and I knew he would vibe with them. It made me happy to show him. That’s all that matters 💜💜💜
@@BrookeMorrison 🥺 You know how much I adore you and your content! 💜 I didn’t mention this in my first comment, but I loved the last 3 minutes of the video where it was just the both of you reflecting on the impact and differences between appreciating something vs trying to take ownership over something. I love his comments how there’s nothing wrong with appreciating something but “cite your sources” if called out on what inspired the creation. It’s funny how some people who say they’re hip hop fans find it unbelievable that hip hop exists in other cultures across the world but your friend is aware not only of the influences hip hop took in to evolve from what it was 20-50 years ago to what it is today, and the influences hip hop can provide to other genres. You can tell he truly appreciates music and why it’s so great. I also sincerely appreciated his immediate self-recognition that all Asian cultures are not the same and he kept apologizing for any errant “cross referencing”. The fact that he can recognize that he was using different non-Korean references is more than 90% of the reactions who ignorantly associate the beautiful cinematography of Daechwita as “kung fu” or “Street Fighter” 🙄. This makes me like his reaction even more because it gives the feeling of sincerity vs clout seeking. There’s never any pressure that you have to like what you just listened to for the first time but you can always tell when someone is making up their reaction to avoid offending fans. I’m glad that he enjoyed his first time hearing the rap line, and I look forward to the next video!
I love what he said about hip hop and asian culture at the end, that’s the first time I heard a reactor saying that and acknowledging that, great video!
BTS will always recognise their HipHop Rap background they give the credit back they say who their influence are and they put their photo's up on their live concerts unlike other kpop groups who don't. BTS are humble kings.
You should show him Hip Pop Phile (Lover) sometime. I think he will appreciated their knowledge of hip pop and rap. Personally I don’t love the chorus of the song but it does show their knowledge and respect for it. (I recommend the live with English subtitles) Thanks for reacting!!!
Omggggg!! Thank you! Haha. BIGGEST advice I can give you is to let it dry completely on its own (either overnight or all day), THEN use heat on it. Keeps it shiny and smooth and the curls stay!
BTS always mention their hiphop influence and pay respect! i’m not sure but I think they mention the rappers that have influenced them (by name) in Hip Hop Phile !
Also I love you but when you were talking about CNS cultural appropriation it would have helped to let him know that Hobi PAID $2.7 MILLION to Bianca Bonnie for the use of the song & made it very clear that this was homage to the original which meant a lot to him as a child. 💜💜💜
You should look up a video explaining about RM and Suga and people who hated on them for going to Kpop.. That was the reason, they were saying that they turned their back on the rap culture.
I love your enthusiasm for sharing BTS! I would have loved for you to share solo MV:s for RM & J-Hope "Joke" with English Subs & "Daydream." Maybe another time, with another friend. Look forward to more BTS reactions from you and your's. :) Take care.
Please do the explanation video by DKDKTV as well along with the UGH song reaction please. It is needed for people to understand BTS's rapline songs.. That way you can focus more on the music side in the song reaction as well.
👏👏👏....Hey my fellow STL'er! This was your best guest to date. I really appreciate his narrative about cultural appreciation, I also reference Rap, specifically Wu Tang Gang, when this topic is brought up. It is mainly certain reactors that are always looking for something to make themselves seem "woke", when in reality it is preferential blindness because the choose to look at other races, but not their own. It is biased and irresponsible. But, let me get off of my soap-box. 😄 I like how DJ A-OH is open to LISTENING to the music, and not just reacting. That's a true credit to his profession!!! You never know what gems you can pick up along the way! Stay strong in your mission to introduce BTS to EVERYONE! It is a noble quest my friend...

Love this reaction! And I trust your choices since you've worked for radio. You definitely know what music to play for your audience. ;) Looking forward to seeing more of DJ A Oh on your channel!
I really like your videos. It's really great to introduce people to BTS, and sooo nerve wracking! The persons who introduced me to BTS thought I would not like it, but I latched onto the rapline hard and then fell into the rabbit hole!
You have had a lot of good guests but this guy is my favorite. Great commentary, he gets it. I love the rap line and Daechwita is my all time favorite too. Personally I like Joke and Do You better for RM and would love to see DJ A-OH react to those. I'm excited to see you do Ugh and maybe Ddaeng? But I hope you can include the explanation videos somehow. Great Job as usual Brooke. Where did you get your Daechwita shirt, I want one too!
A-OH has such a wonderful view on Hip Hop culture. I remember a documentary on Netflix once mentioning that Kung Films are probably what birthed Hip-Hop because Kung Fu Films in the 70s had this cadence and rebellistic nature that impoverished discriminated black youths used to help them create and express themselves. And that's really what Rap and Hip Hop culture was about from the get go. The standing up against oppression and personal struggles, and putting it into spoken words. It's why a lot of folks liken Hip Hop to modern day Work Songs. It's a method of uplifting people, especially the originators in the black community, during moments of tribulation.
Daechwita is not so much about the haters... It's more of a bragging song in which he says "I have succeeded, I am at the top, I don't need tricks to keep rising because my music is elite, but in this moment, I shall remind myself to keep my feet on the ground, to keep myself grounded, to remain humble, I shall remind myself of my priorities in life, that people are more important than money or reputation, now that I have power and influence, I have a responsibility to remember my roots and my story/what type of person I want to be." It's a song of Yoongi being self-aware of how his immense greed and ambition is a double-edge sword. Monster is also sort of a bragging song, but it comes from a moment of being hurt and angry, wanting to prove himself... Since it was written when they were younger and full of fire/in another stage of life. Chicken Noodle Soup is indeed a song to give homage to a dance that inspired Hobi to become a dancer/childhood nostalgia. My recommendations would have been: Moonochild, First Love and Daydream. Or maybe Hip Hop Phile.
I smile so hard when I hear rm jhope suga ... My power team. This made me subscribe. I love the love for the BTS rapline. People don't dig into them enough! I like the pt about how there is a lot of appreciation for Asian cinematics already and BTS fuses stuff so well. I think point about respect should be paid and building on what is acknowledged appropriately at that point are really good ones
I love his reaction! Also, me personally (if I'm gonna show their rapping skills to someone that has lot of experiences with hiphop industry) would probably choose another song from RM and JHope, RM - Joke and for JHope probably Base Line (even though the song only a minute long) or Hangsang, but for SUGA I would definitely choose Daechwita too! 😊
daechwita is also the most recent (2020) so the quality is better than the older ones because one thing about BTS is that they keep improving as the grow

I get that, but since I know A-OH very well, and the fact that he comes from mainstream radio, these were the songs I knew he’d resonate with most. Especially with Becky G being in CNS (since he knows her personally). I thought very long and hard before choosing these. Thank you for watching! 💜
@@BrookeMorrison It does make a difference when you're showing them to somebody you know well. Nice choices. 👍
Totally agree
Cyphers please
For RM not really but for JHope yes. People never react to songs of Namjoon’s first mixtape, and it’s sad because that’s the album that shows what he’s truly capable of the most. I think their would have been a better song by JHope tho
I love how the rapline usually has the 4 pillars of old school hiphop. The rapper, the dj, the bboy (dancer), and the graffiti. Always showing respect to the foundation!
He actually did kill his older self. He said it in the mv making video. It's the new suga killing old one
방탄소년단~ 랩라인 💜💜💜
RM, J-HOPE, SUGA 💜💜💜
There's something different about daechwita yoongi. I still can't believe that he dropped that song so casually.
He should react to RM.. Joke or
do you.. And jhope, daydream
You should show him Hip Pop Phile (Lover) sometime. I think he will appreciated their knowledge of hip pop and rap. Personally I don’t love the chorus of the song but it does show their knowledge and respect for it. (I recommend the live with English subtitles)
Thanks for reacting!!!
Hobi Hip Hop moves 😈💜😍ruclips.net/user/shortsYRjBpadedEo?feature=share
Also, the translator for this video is pro_teacher_k on Fiverr! He's absolutely amazing, so if you ever need a Korean translator he's your guy!
Cool to see other people reacting. I hope the next one is "TEAR" live
Brooke… out of topic but I NEED YOUR HAIR CARE ROUTINE!!!!
Omggggg!! Thank you!
Rm Rapping is just wow 🔥
True 👍 he's my favorite...I love his music...he's really smart
I love the bangtan rapline so much. Thank you Brooke for this video
You should look up a video explaining about RM and Suga and people who hated on them for going to Kpop.. That was the reason, they were saying that they turned their back on the rap culture.
한국어 자막 잘 나온거 같아요~ 구독하고 갑니다!!
I love your enthusiasm for sharing BTS! I would have loved for you to share solo MV:s for RM & J-Hope "Joke" with English Subs & "Daydream." Maybe another time, with another friend. Look forward to more BTS reactions from you and your's. :) Take care.
I love her hair
I just liked when they started whispering while waiting for Yoongi to kill the king.
Rm also do wordplay and rhyme with english also
I love you highlighting the three rappers! Rarely done. Perfect timing now that BTS has gained mainstream attention.
wow this was probably the best reaction video I’ve seen in a long time.
Wow I’m glad! Thank you so much for watching!
The production value and visuals of daechwita are hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥
DJ A-OH, thank you for your time and share knowledge. Can't wait for the part 2.
Please do the explanation video by DKDKTV as well along with the UGH song reaction please. It is needed for people to understand BTS's rapline songs.. That way you can focus more on the music side in the song reaction as well.
Brookkee i am in love with youuu🥺🥺🥺🥺
The way you appreciate my Seven Angelssss 😩😩💜💜💜💜
I appreciate you so much for being here! I am in love with you right back! 💜
Suga is different skills 👍🥰💜
My favorite song from Agusy D is "the last". When I hear this song I want to cry 😢 but it's so good 💜
Girrrllll I love that ya'll did this
bawling my eyes out listening to A-OH about his thoughts. I wish people would understand it the way he does and maybe we'll live more peacefully.
Daechwita isn't directed at one person Yoongi said if your offended by it that's your problem basically
as expected Daechwita enthusiast, - MAKE HIM LISTEN TO D-2
👏👏👏....Hey my fellow STL'er! This was your best guest to date. I really appreciate his narrative about cultural appreciation, I also reference Rap, specifically Wu Tang Gang, when this topic is brought up. It is mainly certain reactors that are always looking for something to make themselves seem "woke", when in reality it is preferential blindness because the choose to look at other races, but not their own. It is biased and irresponsible. But, let me get off of my soap-box. 😄
I like how DJ A-OH is open to LISTENING to the music, and not just reacting. That's a true credit to his profession!!! You never know what gems you can pick up along the way!
Stay strong in your mission to introduce BTS to EVERYONE! It is a noble quest my friend...
Thank you for subscribing and your thoughtful comment! I always love learning more about Daechwita 🌹
Thank you for your reply I’m glad it helped. I always subscribed because it was always good to see.
Hip Hop Lover is another good one show casing their appreciation for rap forerunners💜
Loved him and his take, very eloquent and respectful! You should show him Hip Hop Lover and their Born Singer/Born Sinner cover so he can see them paying hommage to their inspirations like he talked about, i bet he would appreciate it 💜
dude needs to hear all the cipher songs
The best video reaction by far! I loved this! So well spoken and music to my ears hearing you both! Please do more!
Oh wow, the pictures of him in the beginning 😮 with the french/dutch braid!
Love this reaction! And I trust your choices since you've worked for radio. You definitely know what music to play for your audience. ;) Looking forward to seeing more of DJ A Oh on your channel!
I really needed to see this comment. Thank you so much ❤️
I really like your videos. It's really great to introduce people to BTS, and sooo nerve wracking! The persons who introduced me to BTS thought I would not like it, but I latched onto the rapline hard and then fell into the rabbit hole!
한국어 자막이 있어서 편하게 볼 수 있었어요 감사합니다!😚
You have had a lot of good guests but this guy is my favorite. Great commentary, he gets it. I love the rap line and Daechwita is my all time favorite too. Personally I like Joke and Do You better for RM and would love to see DJ A-OH react to those. I'm excited to see you do Ugh and maybe Ddaeng? But I hope you can include the explanation videos somehow. Great Job as usual Brooke. Where did you get your Daechwita shirt, I want one too!
ShopTaetopia.com! 💜
Super excited !
Thank you so much for saying jhope is one of the dancer..people always mention jhope as the dancer of the group when they have two main dancers..
Can you guys see her face when the songs play she looks so happy and proud 💜💜
Their music and lyrics are Top Tier...They also write and Produce
"Bts is not kpop anymore" dude they made 3 English songs vs dozens of Korean songs. Chill. They're still kpop."
I think she should play the Cypher series for him next! He will LOVE them! Also "Uugh" & "Ddaeng!"
Brooke, you're doing the lord's work 🙏 Thank you for introducing people to BTS!
Yoongi is a genius for producing the beat of Daechwita 🔥 Beat is hard af
Thank you for showing him Monster. It's one of my favorites and people don't gives it enough love.
omg Monster is so great!
Agreed! 🙌🏼
daechwita is also the most recent (2020) so the quality is better than the older ones because one thing about BTS is that they keep improving as the grow
