I really don’t think she did that for sales or money. She doesn’t need this.
Taylor seems actually genuine and has made a lot for LGBTQ people over the years. She took time to write a long and very good letter to support the Equality Act.
This woman is a really good person and proved it many times despite what media or some people could say/think.
She finally got out from under the contracts where they stopping her from saying what she wanted to say on certain issues, so this is her chance to finally say what she's wanted to say all along.

we did fine without her. we did fine without her writing songs comparing people not liking her to literal homophobia and transphobia*, too.
also, isn't she the same person who'll ignore every point of view besides her own to the point of being called a white feminist (a feminist who doesn't take into consideration the intersectionality of oppressions such as being a black woman)? like, she might be doing things now, but she'll never be considered a 'good person' for the things she's done and then, as far as i'm aware, never apologised for or even acknowledged. frankly, the entire video for 'you need to calm down' feels like she's using the community to paint herself as 'such a good person uwu' but i have yet to see actual proof that can't also be read as her trying to project a particular image for her own reputation.

Your statements are really toxic considering that a whole lot people still don’t support the LGBT or even accept it. Acceptance means moving on and being the better person, not being bitter. You’ll get nothing done with that mentality. At least she’s getting something done.

Happy pride month boys! I lived in a trailer park for a few years, there were 18 other gay people there and we had the most beautiful trailers and the park. Had a sign out in front of mine in the shape of an old trailer what's the words written on it Welcome to the trailerhood, it was just a hoot!
